Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [323] ... St., N.Y. City, who seeks a complete physical diagnosis and history of his case, with complete treatment for his cure. After giving such information and advice, you will then answer the question which he has submitted concerning his mental and material affairs, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [323], and those conditions physical and mental that disturb the better equilibrium of the body.

3. In the physical forces we find as these: There has for some time existed those conditions in the muco-membranes and in the superficial circulation; that of a form of a catarrhal condition. And this has involved many portions of the body in the disturbances throughout the system. Those in the soft tissue of face, nasal cavities, antrums, and the like, as well as the irritation that is produced to the sympathetic circulation as related to the sensory organism, all become involved more or less at times.

4. There are also those effects as indicated in the digestive system, the basis of which has involved the activity of the lacteal glands; so that at times there is considerable irritation from the incapacity of digesting certain food values or properties when these are taken to excess in the system, as the elements in this gland functioning do not make for sufficient coordinating forces or influences throughout the body.

5. Hence, while these have not reached the proportions at times as to wholly incapacitate the body, they do make for the weakening condition throughout the system which prevents the better normal functioning.

6. In meeting the needs, as we would find, not only is it necessary to combat the effects that have been and are created in various portions of the body, but to so eradicate the causes as to overcome and allow the organs and the general system to build themselves that which is necessary

323-1 Page 2

for resuscitating and sustaining those portions of the organism that have become involved in the disturbance.

7. Hence, there should be applications of both a mechanical and of a therapeutic effect upon the active forces in circulation, in stimulating certain glands and functionings to a more perfect coordination, as to eliminate drosses created by the effects that have been sustained in the system; as well as to eradicate the first causes.

8. We would find that through the application of electrical forces, with a little manipulation and massage occasionally, would be the better manner in which to overcome these conditions.

9. As we have given, this condition affects the superficial circulation. Also, we have shown, central organs are involved at times.

10. Hence these, as we find, would be better applied in this way and manner; this as an outline - see?

11. On Tuesdays we would apply first those vibrations from the ULTRA violet ray. Apply directly to the solar plexus centers of the body; at least thirty-eight inches from the body, and - after the light is adjusted - for a period of three to three and a half minutes.

12. We do not mean the violet ray for this treatment, but the ULTRA violet ray - see?

13. After the treatment with the ultra violet ray, we would take those charges of the PLAIN violet ray that go directly to the body - see? the anode that is held in the hand. One time, when taken, hold the anode in the left hand. The next time hold in the right hand. The next time remove the left shoe and place on the left foot (that means next to the skin, not on the sock!). The next time place on the right foot. Then begin over again, with the left hand, the right; the left foot and the right, see?

14. On Thursdays there should be given those vibrations from the Infra Red electrical treatment. (Now, we do not mean the sun lamps nor those of lesser power than than the full quartz lights, see - for the ultra violet; and the FULL red ray for the Infra Red.) This should be applied (the Infra Red) to the FRONTAL portion of the body, the lung area, the upper portion of the diaphragm or stomach area, over those portions of the liver, pancreas, and the lacteal duct area, covering also - of course - the spleen and upper portion of the descending colon. This should be given for at least thirty minutes.

15. Follow this treatment with the charges also from the plain violet ray anode, as we have indicated, that is to be held in the hand or on the foot - see?

16. We would also find that a more consistency in the diet will be beneficial; that is, THIS would be given as an outline - and eat the meals at regular times, not just any time when it feels hungry!

17. Mornings - stewed fruits or dry cereals, but not both. Following either of these may be taken a coddled egg, toast, and whatever drink is preferable to the body.

18. OCCASIONALLY it would be well that very crisp bacon be added: just occasionally.

19. Noons - (and eat the noon meal at a REGULAR TIME) vegetable juices, and not too much grease in these, or vegetable soups. Occasionally change to salads of any type, but not meats at either this or the morning meal, see?

20. Evenings - well-balanced vegetable diet, with a LITTLE meat; but no beef (been too much of this taken - it's too beefy!) Lamb, fish or chicken may be taken; but no beef or - of course - red meats. All of these should be WELL cooked. When the fish is taken, it may be of the gefullte, [also gefillte or gefilte - Jewish koshered preparation of fish.] or boiled, or broiled, but not fried fish. Sea foods, too, may be taken occasionally.

21. Abstain from ANY intoxicating drinks of ANY kind! This means even beer, too! Too much of these, with the electrical forces (if they are to be taken), will be DETRIMENTAL to the better conditions of the body.

22. Electricity and alcohol don't work together! It burns tissue, and is not good for ANYBODY!

23. At least once a week there should be taken a sweat bath with a thorough rubdown after same, see? Do not raise the temperature of the body to such a high state as to overtax the circulation, nor as to reduce the body in its weight or in its strength; but the thorough massage should be over the body with the salt rub or salt glow, followed with the alcohol and oil rubs that will be helpful to the superficial circulation, as well as reducing irritations that have existed at times in the cuticle over the whole body.

24. Do these. We will rid the body of the conditions that have been disturbing, meeting many of those that appear to be disturbing the system but that are only complements to the general disturbance that we find as basically given in the conditions for [323].

25. Ready for questions.

26. (Q) How long should the plain violet ray anode be held at a time? (A) Five to ten minutes, to fifteen minutes.

27. (Q) What is necessary for him to do to obtain his freedom from his wife, from whom he has been separated for

323-1 Page 4

eight years? (A) In considering these mental statuses of the body, the associations and relations, we would find that had there been the real desire within self to be rid of or free from these obligations that exist with such relations, the freedom might have been gained or might have been accomplished. But is it well? Is there not felt within self that there is a duty, an obligation? And that the separation has been rather that of a FORCED condition due to circumstances that involve the moral aptitude or activity of both concerned? Then, either ACCEPT the obligation or belittle self in self's own eyes for the rest of his experience!

28. (Q) What has this matter to do with his physical condition? (A) Rather as a complement to the condition, in that the irritation that is worked into self at times from this is not very helpful; but either accept it and meet it, as any real man should, or get rid of it!

29. (Q) What can he do to aid his son K... who is at ... St., ..., Arizona, and who is very ill? (A) Add only those things that may make for the easing of the conditions that exist; for these may only be met through prayer, supplication. Much of this has been produced by other conditions that have entered in, best known to the body itself - if he thinks well.

30. (Q) What is [323]'s future with the Truscon Steel Co. with whom he is now associated and what line of endeavor could he go into that would lead him to a pleasant and more remuneraative position? (A) Apply self best in the present associations and connections, and through same so fit self for those conditions that may arise in the experience of the body in other associations and connections. Take one step at the time! Do WELL the job in which the body is associated at the present. Not that it hasn't, at some times; but when doubts arise as to the future of its associations, look to self more often than criticizing another for non-appreciation of the efforts put forth!

31. (Q) What can he do to assist the work of Edgar Cayce in New York? (A) Wait until he gets to it! He hasn't got to it yet! For, in every association and connection, to those that would approach such an association or such a connection with work that may be accomplished through Cayce, there first must be within self that which does convince self of the

323-1 Page 5

plausibility, the reasonableness, and of the aid that may come to another through such. And when this is accomplished it is EASY for an individual to find channels through which he may aid others. In aiding others he may assist the Work! The trouble with [323] (if he would know his troubles, mentally and materially) is this: He has never sold himself on ANY IDEAL! He that is without an ideal is a wanderer; and if the ideal is set in material things it will soon play out and fade. The ideal must be in spiritual things!
