Time of Reading At [413]'s home, 12:50 to 1:00 Noon - Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [324], and those conditions that disturb the body at the present time.
2. As we find, there are the effects of cold and congestion, especially to the membranes of the throat and head; that is, the effect that produces such an amount of temperature.
3. That to be prevented most is this causing too great a strain on the soft tissue, as to produce antrum or the ear trouble, or descending into the bronchi and lungs and making for the inflammation of the pleural cavity.
4. While the temperature is high, as we find, some little changes in the ministrations would make for better conditions for the body; as this:
5. First we would massage as much camphorated oil in the spine, chest and throat, as the body will take up.
6. We would massage the soles of the feet with mutton tallow, camphor and turpentine. Keep these very warm. These would be mixed in proportions as about equal parts of each, see? Necessary then, of course, to dissolve the mutton tallow. Two or three drops of the Spirits of Camphor and Spirits of Turpentine to about twice the amount of the mutton tallow dissolved. Of course, do not have this so hot as to burn, but have warm when applied and keep wrapped in hot flannels.
7. We would take the Syrup of Squill, five to eight drops every three to four hours.
8. Dissolve five grains of Calcidin in ten ounces of water. Keep warm, and every few minutes when there is the choking or the irritating of the body give a few sips of this, see?
9. These may be given without fear of hindering or being effective with any other applications.
10. Do that.
11. The oil and the Squill, especially, will reduce the temperature.

12. Be mindful of this, especially through the coming night and morning.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) Any advice regarding nourishment? (A) Necessary, to be sure, that there be kept the nourishment; but be mindful that there is not produced an effect to cause the cold or congestion that would settle upon the lungs, or upon the intestinal system as to cause colitis, or any of the disorders from same; hence the pre-digested foods would be the better through these periods, and those of the natural fruit juices - but do not give sugar with same.
15. (Q) Should all other treatments now being applied be kept up? (A) Only when necessary, for if these are applied properly we will see - in four to six hours - a great deal of change for the better.
16. (Q) Any special affirmation to be held for the body? (A) Not as we find, other than that which has been.
17. We are through for the present. Copy to Mrs. [413] " " File
