St. Francis Home, Time of Reading Room 305-H, 6:50 to 7:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Denville, N.J. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [325]; this we have had before.

2. We would find that if those suggestions were followed closely that have been indicated, there would be more ready response - as we find.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) What effect have the first two treatments [by Frank P. Dobbins, D.O.] had on body and mind? (A) The treatments have been beneficial. They have made for the drainages which have been indicated; these are helpful to the system, though - as indicated by the manner of the activity through the alimentary canal - the reaction to the mind has been rather of a wonderment and at times a worriment, because of the change from the usual order. But these conditions, as we find, ARE necessary - if the rest of those things suggested are carried on.

5. (Q) Should the violet ray hand machine be applied direct to the breast, or to the spinal areas governing the drainage of this region? (A) To the spinal system.

6. (Q) Please explain in detail the use of this machine, as to how it is to be applied. If direct, all over it, or around the edges? (A) On the spine, as indicated. Use the bulb applicator, in a rotary motion, over the area indicated.

7. (Q) How long each time? (A) This has been given. Not more then three minutes. Less is sufficient. Two to three minutes.

8. (Q) What days each week, and how many times daily? (A) The hand machine is only used, the violet ray, after the Ash is given.

9. (Q) Please examine the carbon arc lamp in her room. Is it strong enough to continue to use, when she is to use it? (A) This is not to be used when the X-Ray flashes are being

325-61 Page 2

used. It may be used when the X-Ray flashes have been discontinued. But the flashes should be used now, and under the supervision of the one giving the manipulations - Dobbins.

10. (Q) What make or manufacture of hand machine is best? (A) Hanover.

11. (Q) When Ash is to be taken, how often? (A) Just as indicated. Reduce the quantity. Give one-eighth grain each day, or one-sixteenth grain twice each day.

12. (Q) Are there any specific spinal corrections to be made, or should the treatment be directed toward relaxation and drainage? (A) Rather the general treatments for drainages from all portions of the system.

13. (Q) Would she be better off to take no powders but the Ash, or do the powders help her as given by Dr. Hauswirth, M.D.? [Louis Hauswirth] (A) These powders given by the M.D. have at times become necessary. Do not take these oftener than necessary, though. These are given to keep the body out of pain, you see.

14. (Q) How often and what days best for X-Ray flashes? (A) This may be best determined by the one applying the manipulation, and the responses that are had from same. As we find, X-Ray flashes should NOT be too often. Three times a month, or once each week SHOULD be sufficient. Again this depends; for, as indicated, be mindful that there is not a burn - for this would be more to be feared than too less an amount, when the reactions are as well as they have been heretofore.

15. (Q) Can osteopathic treatment and X-Ray machine flashes be given same day, or same time? (A) Not best.

16. (Q) What X-Ray doctor best, one that Hauswirth [Louis Hauswirth, M.D.] recommends or the one Dobbins recommends? (A) As indicated, the one Dobbins recommends; for these should work together - these treatments; that is, coordinating one with the other.

17. (Q) How often for Dr. Dobbins' treatments? (A) These should be at least every other day, or dependent upon the response the body makes to the treatments - see?

18. (Q) How long each treatment best for body? (A) This is best determined by the manipulator. Until the body relaxes thoroughly.

19. (Q) Why does intestinal evacuation become so liquid

325-61 Page 3

after treatments? (A) The change in the manner in which the system responds. This is a good indication, provided all treatments are kept coordinatingly.

20. (Q) Does this weaken the body? (A) This is what disturbs the body; this condition, because it has the feeling that it does weaken the body; but it does not.

21. (Q) Should all medicines be eliminated? (A) As indicated, when necessary take same.

22. (Q) Does body need a tonic to upbuild? (A) If the system is responding to the manipulations and other treatments, this is sufficient tonic. The best tonic is the SYSTEM'S responding to the activities of all centers that are made to coordinate in an activative way and manner.

23. (Q) Since food seems to disagree and body is so weak, how can strength be built up? (A) It is necessary for foods, for nourishment; and these must be taken in some way or manner. The applications of all natures are for the natural reactions to FORCE an issue under the conditions, or to bring greater distressing effects. So the body must respond, else naturally the gradual disintegrations in the functioning of this or that portion of the system will take place. There is NO greater manner of supplying stimulations for normalcy than the NATURAL methods of the osteopathic adjustments, which through the touch may indicate (to the manipulator) those centers where nourishments to various portions are lacking or being over-stimulated. And the activity or effect upon the ganglia and the muscular forces is to make for the equalizing, with all centers coordinating. This is a normal condition. Medicinal properties are only indicated where conditions are set up that are not reached sufficiently quick by the manipulations.

24. (Q) Should body eat eggs? (A) If it desires.

25. (Q) Both parts? (A) The yolk.

26. (Q) She does not seem to like vegetables. Will the juices do as well for her? (A) Do as well if prepared properly; that is, with all the strength of same left within same.

27. (Q) Please comment on Dr. Dobbins' treatment given on Wed. the 21st. Is it in conformity with the guidance we are

325-61 Page 4

getting? As he wants to cooperate very much. (A) As we have indicated, the Dobbins' method is well.

28. (Q) Is there any way to eliminate bitter taste in the mouth? (A) This is a natural reaction in the system; it has existed for years - and is the effect of the SYSTEM'S combating - through ALL the functioning of the system - those disorders there.

29. (Q) Has the liver anything to do with it? (A) Partially.

30. (Q) Will it be best for body to return home on Sunday to begin lamp treatments? (A) Would be best, to have ALL treatments.

31. (Q) Is there a better location for her in N.Y., considering her nerves, body, condition and happiness? (A) At home is the better.

32. (Q) Any better location then 180 Riverside Drive, N.Y.? (A) At the present home is the better.

33. (Q) Please give body a mental suggestion which will help her to maintain her desire to get well, and have confidence again in herself. (A) Keep that mental attitude of helpfulness, usefulness to those that the body may influence in its activity. And leave the results of ALL conditions in the hands of Him that giveth life, light and immortality. Let THOSE be as thy axioms: "Let the words of my mouth, the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in Thy sight, my Lord, and my Redeemer."
