1. GC: You will have before you Okeechobee County, Florida, and you will tell us if there are any prospects for production of oil in this County. If so, you will give us Section, Township, and Range, of the best location for drilling for oil, giving the log of the well, and the depth at which production may be found, and the quantity of oil produced. You will answer any questions I might ask you regarding this.
2. EC: Yes, we have the county here, with those prospects of locating oil in this county.
3. Now, in the general structure of this county, as a whole, we find there are some indications for the production of oil (there are many other minerals and some other conditions that might be located that would be of much more value than oils), yet the conditions in those strata where oil might be located are more of the porous nature, being much younger in the formation. While the sedimentary stratums are rich with the indications, and some oil, yet to drill or locate same in commercial quantities will be rather expensive for the amount of the production that would be produced in same. The greater quantity, or showing, as we would see, would be near that of Range 35 and 36, Township 51 and 2. The structure here will produce small quantities, but not, as we find, of much commercial value.
4. In the northern and western portion of county there may be located phosphates that would be more valuable. There are treasures cached, and these are being searched for (but they don't belong to us, you see).
5. We would give, then, as a whole, though there may be specific locations in which some commercial quantities may be produced, but as a whole not sufficient oil for commercial purposes. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Is there a well being drilled in this county? (A) There have been some 4 to 5. Most of these have produced in some quantities. There are 2 being prepared for drilling in the portion as given. We do not find these of
