Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Enquiring minds, seeking advice and guidance concerning the essential factors which comprise their major activities in the present manifestation from a material standpoint. First, their financial affairs and business connections.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the bodies, the enquiring minds, [333] and [602], present in this room, and those conditions materially, financially, mentally, that confront these bodies at this time. These in part we have had before.
2. In giving that which may be helpful and beneficial at this time, well that the attitudes, purposes, aims and desires of the bodies be considered as respecting their purposefulness in the experiences through which each in their own way are passing.
3. As indicated, if each soul will but put its reliance in the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, there comes the appreciation in the experience that every trial, every condition, is that each soul may know that the promises of Him who gave, "If ye will be my people I will be your God" and that the vicissitudes, the temptations, are but those things that - if used aright - will strengthen that relationship.
4. Then, in making the material application in the daily toils, in the daily activities and the associations with those through whom there may come the worldly things necessary for meeting the daily obligations that arise in the experience of every individual, know that man - in whatever position he may occupy - may be turned by the influence of the spirit of truth into a channel to bring blessings, experiences, conditions worth while in the lives of those whom the Lord doth succor, and THROUGH such channels meet those needs necessary.
5. For, His ways are not past finding out. And no man that labors in the Father's vineyard is other than in the manner
333-3 Page 2
as He gave, that as each labored so was the hire meted out to all in the same manner as was held in the inmost soul of the laborer in HIS vineyard.
6. Then, in making the connections, the associations, the activities that will meet these conditions in the experience, do so in the attitude, "I am thine, O Lord. Use me where, how, and in the manner as Thou seest I have need of, for a better presenting, a better representative and channel of blessings to others in Thy name."
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) Regarding financial affairs, is [333]'s new business connection of such character as to make it worth while? (A) Each association and each character of association may be MADE worth while; in as much as there is put in in self, and in the attitude as given, it may be made worth while.
9. (Q) Would it be advisable to see W. G. Langford of the Richmond Radiator Co., New York, regarding position? (A) Be very well, especially in the second or third week from the present; though the connections or associations may be begun in the present, see?
10. (Q) Would it be advisable to see Frank Ludlam of International Nickle Co., N.Y.? (A) Be advisable. For, in meeting or in contacts for associations, as material changes are coming about, in making such connections or in preparation for such meetings, do not let little hindrances upset self. For, as given, "In patience possess ye your souls." This does not mean sitting down and waiting, but with prayer, with fortitude, with patience, with persistence, meet each day with that necessary fullness of purpose as to be ready to be used as He would see fit. And, as has been given, as each approaches in such a way and manner He opens the way for that necessary for the meeting of every need, materially, mentally, spiritually, in thine experience.
11. (Q) Suggest the proper start for activities with the Pyorrhea medicine and the Battery that the Cayce's have entrusted to my care? [See [1800] series.] (A) Seek first to know in self what is thine experience. Then this gives that impetus within self as to the credence or value that may be had in such preparations. And the experience then in self becomes such that it may be passed on to the neighbor; for the values and the benefits may be had in these. But know in self. Not by hearsay but by experience, for ALL gain an understanding best by personal experience in any condition or activity. Then, in the various channels through which these properties may be distributed, work ALL in the way and manner that will be
333-3 Page 3
shown by the application in self from day to day. And these would do well in thine own surroundings, thine own experience.
12. (Q) Will you suggest some particular field of active business that should be solicited which will help to increase income in the right manner? (A) In any field of activity where there is the convincing in self that the product as may be presented is worthy, whether of the nature as indicated or in line with the endeavors; for there should be such an understanding or relationship that these may be CONSCIENTIOUSLY presented to others. Any such field of activity is well. Any any such fields increase the income. Any such fields that are worthy of being presented in a way and manner as to fill a need in the experience of those whom the entity or body may contact from day to day. Do not attempt to make any connection or association or presentation that may not be done with all good conscience in the line and ideal of that which has been set, "Use Thou me, O Lord, as Thou seest fit." And the ways will be shown thee, for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And, as He has given, never have his been forsaken; neither have his children's children begged bread.
13. (Q) Regarding property and buildings, is it advisable to continue trying to hold our home? (A) Advisable to continue trying, and will succeed; for more and more is there being reached in the inmost souls of not only those that deal in such properties as investments but those in power or authority as related to material things, that there is the necessity for the establishing of the homes in EVERY, EVERY relation.
14. (Q) Will the Home Loan Finance Corp. assist us and how? (A) The Home Loan Finance Corporation will assist, should it become necessary to make application through such channels. As to when or how this may be done, should it come to the point that these are being closed, make direct appeal and application for the aid necessary.
15. (Q) What would be the better activities in assisting in this matter? (A) Make the direct application, as given.
16. (Q) Regarding the son, how can we best aid our son [670] in becoming interested in a worth while activity in business or education or both? (A) Well were there first sought that which has been and is the development of the entity, as to its purposes and that to which application may be made in the present that will appeal to those influences in the mind and soul of each entity for its development in this particular period or environment.
333-3 Page 4
As is seen, there is the desire on the part of the son; yet, as to just what field or how to best adapt or to fit self for that which is appealing has been and is the problem in the experience. As we find, those things that deal with outside activities rather than those that would be confining in office or factory or the like, are not only the more appealing but the abilities for development and expansion are in those characters or fields. Yet, as we find, these might be best determined as to specific activities in that which would give those relationships and conditions that would make for the better understanding of the entity's thought, feelings, mental and soul development. [9/24/34 See Life Rdg. 670-1.]
17. (Q) Any other advice for these bodies at this time? (A) Keep the faith as thou hast set for thee, making the standards and the ideals in Him who has promised that "I will not leave thee comfortless but will come and ABIDE with thee." And know His promises are sure; for He has made the way in that as He gave, Know that thy Redeemer liveth and will be in that place of a living activity IN THEE, wilt thou but put thy trust in Him.
