Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. N.Y.C. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body - [335].
2. Now, as we find, the physical conditions are very good. There are some conditions that if the body will take precautions concerning them in the present, the tendencies being gradually brought about in the physical forces may be averted; and there will be greater vitality, a more normal reaction, and the abilities in the material activities - mentally and physically - will have the greater opportunity for the more normal functioning.
3. As we find, these warnings have to do with the metabolism of the system; and there are some specific conditions that indicate where and how the functioning system is affected by such disturbances.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [335] we are speaking of:
5. The BLOOD SUPPLY, while efficient in quantity, at times shows indications of poisons or drosses being left in system. This is indicated by the heart's action (or pulsation), the manner in which the digestive system is at times disturbed through the nerves of the digestive organism, and the tendency - from these impulses, as created by this overtaxed nerve reaction - for the muco-membranes of the face and head at times to show some clogging, and some disturbances in same.
6. We find also that there is the tendency for the disturbances to manifest in the activity of the glands, as related to the assimilation - or creation, through their functioning - of conditions in the system as related to the metabolism; or that are affected, or are affecting the system as related to the adrenal and the glands in the assimilation through the lacteals of the system.
7. In the present, then, these are merely the beginnings - as we find; or conditions that are affected by the IMPULSES that are created in a general system.
335-1 Page 2
8. These, as we find, may be aided materially in the present to become nearer normal in their functioning and thus, through this change in that created by the functioning of the portions of the system NOW affected, create a more NORMAL impulse; thus making for a much nearer normal activity of a physical body.
9. To add, in any appreciable manner, any great stimuli for an INDICATED disturbance - without considering the general functioning system as a whole - has oftentimes too great a tendency to create a specific disturbance, or to create a greater unbalanced condition than were the whole general system considered in such applications.
10. Hence WE would give THESE, for correcting the impulses in the present in this body, [335] we are speaking of:
11. Each morning upon arising, and each evening before retiring, we would use the inhalant that has been prescribed through these sources for the clarifying of the muco-membranes of head and throat. This would be inhaled, then, both through the nostril and into the throat, so that the glands of the throat and the muco-membranes in the tonsils, adenoid region, bronchi and lungs may all have that stimuli as to create constructive activity for these disturbed areas (or areas that become easily inflamed at times), reducing the tendency for the glands to over-stimulate the muco-membranes and thus relieving the irritations. Not by the addition of stimulation in the circulation (that would disturb it), but by acting in the manner as an antiseptic that is penetrating in such a nature as to produce the proper balance in such tissues' activity in the system.
12. We would prepare this, then, and breathe it deeply through the nostril, each side, two or three times; breathing into the lungs, throat, through the mouth, two or three times; each morning and each evening.
13. This upon arising will clear the throat. This upon retiring will reduce the inflammation and the tendency for inflammation through the muco-membranes.
14. We would also be mindful of the diet, that not too great a quantity of sweets would be taken; for sweets tend to make improper fermentations through the body. As often as possible quantities of green vegetables should be taken; celery, lettuce, spinach, and things of that kind should be included in the diet. At least have these once or twice each day. Not too great a quantity of meats, nor of condiments on that eaten. There should be the activities that make for a better reaction through the system as related to the eliminations through the alimentary canal;
335-1 Page 3
hence roughage is also necessary for the weight in system to create the peristaltic movement throughout the body. Take the time, then, for the assimilating of the foods when taken.
15. Also we would have, at least once each week, a thorough massage following either the cabinet bath, blanket bath, or resting for a period in water that is above the temperature of the body; but not too great a temperature as to weaken the superficial circulation in producing eliminations through the respiratory or sweat system; just sufficiently to CLEANSE from the capillaries and portions of the body that which is created normally for an active body.
16. It would be well also, at least two or three times each month, for the cerebrospinal system to receive ADJUSTMENTS; so that there might become less tendency for the segments of the cerebrospinal and their connections - specifically in the locomotaries of the body (that is, head and neck, the brachial and lumbar plexus) - to become set in their system.
17. The medicinal properties that would be taken, as we find, would be only those found in AL-CAROID; that may be taken after the meal, especially the evening meal, and will be found helpful. Do not take too large a quantity of this, nor too often - but, as we find, if these properties are followed consistently (that is, when they are needed by the body for correcting any specific irritation produced), using more when necessary and less when the body is near normal, we will keep a near equal balance, correcting those tendencies for the irritation to the glands that are overcharged by toxic forces and by the body working under a high nerve tension at many times.
18. These will bring, as we find, better physical forces and correct many disturbances that might arise later in the body - from tendencies now existent - [335].
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Which inhalant should be used by this body? (A) Prepare it in this manner: Take an eight ounce bottle, large opening, and prepare it - preferably - so that it may be kept tightly corked when not in use, but so that when shaken and inhaled the fumes or gases might rise from the mixture and be easily taken into the system - see? that is, have two openings through the cork. In this eight ounce container, put four ounces of grain - pure grain - alcohol, or 195 proof. Then add the ingredients in THIS manner, in the order named:
335-1 Page 4
Oil of Eucalyptol.......................20 minims, Benzosol (saturated solution)............5 minims, Rectified Creosote.......................3 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...................10 minims, Tincture of Benzoin.....................15 minims, Canadian Balsam..........................5 minims, Tolu in solution........................30 minims. Only shake this solution very thoroughly just before it is to be used. Allow sufficient time, to be sure, for the accumulation of the gases that rise by the stirring of this in the alcohol, for it is the vapor from this that is breathed; not by heating - but by the natural eructation that arises from the bottle, which stands suspended when not shaken.
21. (Q) What doctor would be well to give the massage? (A) One that knows how! This treatment should follow, of course, that application given for cleansing the system. Hence one that is fitted or qualified to give the one should be one qualified to give the other - see? Do this, and - as we will find - we will bring the better physical conditions, and prevent disturbances later - through those tendencies that have been indicated, in the metabolism and katabolism of the system.
