1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [337] - this we have had before. Now, we find there are many changes and much difference in the physical conditions of this body at present from that as we have had before. The conditions as we find, while that that is troubling and aggravating the body is NOT that so much, as of that which the body should be warned, and with the correction of conditions as are manifesting themselves at present, that of which the body should take warning, will be so changed and relief brought, that will bring much bettered conditions for this body, Mrs. [337] we are speaking of, present in this room.
2. Now, these are the conditions as we find them at this time. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences of conditions existent in organs, as well as that relating to the eliminations of the body, and also the manner in which the disturbances in eliminations are directed. In the elements of the blood itself, there are the indications of the character of disturbance in eliminations, so that the unequalized condition as is manifest in the capillary circulation, and is seen in abrasions - these are manifestations of conditions that have attempted to be eliminated through channels through which such conditions should not come, but were it not thus that these conditions externally exist, much WORSE would be the condition of the body, for these are manifested at present through the vegetative and the sympathetic nerve system, and gives an indication of conditions as exist with those of eliminating CHANNELS themselves.
4. IN THE NERVE FORCES OF THE BODY, here, as has been indicated, are conditions that have long caused distresses, in the manner in which the incentives from nerve plexus were misdirected, as are seen in the lumbar, the sacral, and the lower portion of cerebrospinal system. So that the lower circulation is hindered, and hence disturbances come both
337-2 Page 2
sympathetically and NOW are showing ORGANICALLY in the functioning OF the organs, as will be seen. As given, these then should be corrected, so that the impulse as is received in normal functioning of the body is relieved - for we find this tiredness, this heaviness at times in lower limbs, the aching sensation from the hips to the knees, to say nothing of the irritation externally. These are indications of pressure as is existent, with this system, through the blood supply, and lack of energy distributed on account of the poor assimilation - this aids then in showing or manifesting itself through these channels.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces are good.
6. Throat, bronchials and lungs - the lungs show the indication of this disturbance, as HAS been created in the circulation, and the weakness indicated in the vitality of the body. Not that there are any specific dangers apparent here at present, but allowing the system to be continually drained of strength, vitality, blood supply and blood stream not replenished, there will - of their OWN accord - come about those DETRIMENTAL conditions as are apparent through the lung proper.
7. In the heart's action, with the disturbed circulation, with the poor elimination, NECESSARILY there occurs times when the body does not respond naturally to the circulation as carried on through the system, and the heart's action shows a resultant response to same. As is seen, when the body is tired - or attempts to rest, disturbance in sleep, sensation of clamminess to the whole body DURING this period, and an aching through the limbs, and the whole torso feels as if burning at times. These are a result, NOT a condition - but a RESULT of a condition.
8. In the digestive system, here again we find disturbances. The lactics and lacteals of the digestive system are UNEVENLY balanced, so that we have recurrent conditions; that is, at TIMES certain foods agree - possibly the next day the same thing would disagree with the body. The system not functioning normal, or systematically, nor do the secretions as carry on digestion give off or create in the system foods as necessary. Especially do we find this when the body is worried, either mentally or physically, and these conditions HAVE existed with the body periodically; sometimes regarding self, sometimes regarding others, sometimes regarding conditions. Each in their manner present the different effect upon the nerve centers, especially of the vegetative system, of which the digestive system is the principal functioning seat.
337-2 Page 3
9. In the functioning of the liver, with the disturbed circulation, this organ NATURALLY suffers - both in its functioning of excretion or secretion; that is, at times the excretory functioning - NECESSARY for the system through the activity of the organ - is hindered. At others, those secretions necessary for proper assimilation and digestion suffer. Hence the digestive system becomes rather - when it is emptied - that of a nervous intestinal digestion. Resultant from this are the poisons as the system is attempting to eliminate, which come through to the capillary circulation, picked up through the lymph and the organs as carry to the RESPIRATORY - or the sweat portions of body - creating an irritation. Poisons, eliminated through these channels, create in the exterior portion, as well as in the centers of the system as govern ligaments, tissue, joints and muscular forces. In THIS body, these are SYMPATHETIC as yet, though those of the EXTERIOR show symptoms of the irritation as comes to the body.
10. In the functioning of the hepatic circulation, this is cold and low. At times the body would show from this, above normal temperature and a subnormal pulse. Again a subnormal temperature and above normal pulse. Again we see the effect of the disturbances as produce variations in the activities of the functioning organs so affected by these disturbances.
11. The kidneys suffer too at times, producing at times an OVER secretion, yet with the slightest change may produce irritation, as is ALSO seen through the organs of elimination as related to the alimentary canal, the disturbance through the colon proper.
12. Now, to meet the needs of these conditions for this body: First there should be REST. Rest from mental and physical exertion. At least TWO HOURS EACH day should be spent where the ultra-violet rays of the sun will affect the exterior or the full capillary system; that is, without clothing, to be sure.
13. Then, there should be these properties taken for the system, that we may change the vibratory forces for the body as related to the eliminating system. These working, then, one with another, so that coordination is produced in the digestive and assimilating and the eliminating system. Just as it is necessary for coordination through the mental forces of the body for particular movement or mental reaction, so is it necessary for the coordination of assimilation and elimination in a body. Here we would find we would take, each morning, before any breakfast or any foods are taken - these properties: This for each dose taken:
337-2 Page 4
Epsom Salts...............1/2 dram, Cream of Tartar...........1/2 dram, Pure Sulphur................5 grains. Each morning, until there is the full CAPILLARY reaction from the system; that is, the activities of the alimentary canal are so changed by these vibrations set up in system as to cause the different texture, the different reaction to the full capillary circulation.
14. Remember those corrections [osteopathically] as have been given for the lumbar, sacral and lower or full dorsal regions, as WELL as those that affect the circulation through the head, shoulders and neck. These should be given at least twice each week.
15. We would also add those vibrations from the plain Violet Ray, [hand machine, bulb applicator] this PREFERABLY given just before retiring of evening.
16. The diet for the body, through this beginning period, should be NO vegetables that grow BELOW the ground, save salsify and carrots. The salsify may be cooked. The CARROTS should be raw. Those of the whole wheat, gruels, those of the cereals for the breakfast, with those of milk - that is, RICH - not IN the richness of THICK cream, but rather of the well mixture of same.
17. In the noon should be the green vegetables - NONE cooked, all green.
18. In the evening there may be taken juices of meats, and ESPECIALLY those of liver or calves' liver, or of the livers of fowl or such. These are especially good. The broths and salads that DO NOT carry too much of sweets. Keep sweets away, save those of grape sweets. Citrus fruits may be taken at that time also. No coffee. No tea. Those of Ovaltine or of cocoa may be used in moderation.
19. Do this for two weeks, then we will give those changes - for we MUST not forget that condition existent in the blood supply and in the lungs. But we must begin with a foundation to ELIMINATE these disturbances from this body, Mrs. [337] we are speaking of. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Would the medicinal properties as given for the eczema be beneficial? (A) If it would, we would have given it!
21. (Q) What is the cause of the swelling? (A) As has been given, those conditions as exist from improper eliminations from the system. These conditions as have been called eczema, are not eczema - but rather these forces of the system attempting to eliminate through the respiratory system, rather then through proper channels. We
337-2 Page 5
correct these conditions, and this will disappear.
22. (Q) Is the body's weight normal at the present time? (A) No. Below normal.
23. (Q) What is the specific condition of the blood supply and heart? (A) As indicated from that outlined, there is a suppression of the forces as supplied through the lymphatic circulation, and supplying mucus forces for system in this portion of body. The suppression through secondary cardiac forces, as reflex from condition existent in lower part of hepatic circulation, and there is a suppression of the blood supply.
24. (Q) Would it be well for the body to take ocean baths and sand packs? (A) No. Take those of the sun baths, but let these be under the vita glass or Violet Ray glass. [Cayce Hospital sun parlor through violet ray windows]
25. (Q) What causes the pain in - [feet & knees?] (A) This is the condition as exists as has been shown from that existing in the circulation, as is disturbed through the lower hepatic circulation, as becomes increased in system, attempting to be eliminated. The system coming in sympathy with this, produces the pressure on the various valvular forces with the body. To suppress the condition is only to produce irritations in other portions of system. To begin with we must begin with that PRODUCING the condition, and build so that we can have something to build on! else there'll be nothing to build on at all!
26. (Q) Any other advice for this body? (A) Do as given for the present. Then we may give that which will be beneficial farther along. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
