Time of Reading Apt. 1908, 4:50 to 5:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.

2. As we find, conditions are a great deal changed in the physical forces of the body from that as we have had heretofore.

3. Those greater disturbances as we find arise through the system from the changes coming about in the periods of the body's reactions, or eliminations through the period channels. [Menopause]

4. Thus the disturbances throughout the organs of the pelvis, the uterus, the period prolongations, and the general distress and strain as these produce upon the system arise from these changes.

5. The hot and cold flushed, the disturbances in the circulation, especially in the lower limbs, the hindrance to the circulation and the tendency for the body to become super-sensitive to reactions of many natures, all arise from those disturbances.

6. As we would find, a strict diet, with the general massages that go with vapor baths would be the better manner for THIS body to maintain or gain that normal equilibrium at this time.

7. Keep as quiet as possible, among as much pleasant company as possible, but not a great amount of activity, save in the little social ways and manners as may be with the treatments.

8. Walking and the like is well for the body.

9. These we would do.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Any special kind of vapor baths, and how often? (A) These had best be given as in accordance with an institution, or those specific treatments that may be had, dependent upon the manner in which the body may take these. If these are taken in New York, such as with the Berg or Reilly institute - then we would take the vapor baths that

are principally of the Oil of Wintergreen and changed to Atomidine or iodine every other week; that is, one week have one, the next week have the other, see? then the general massage would be such as to make for the corrections of those disturbances that have been indicated from times back in the lower portion of the lumbar and lower dorsal areas. The diets, if these are to be made specific and if these are to be taken in the same way and manner - at home, would be according to this as an outline: Mornings - citrus fruit juices or cereals. Cereals should be either maltex or crushed wheat or the cut oats, not rolled oats. Do not take cereals and citrus fruits or juices at the same meal. Coddled egg and at times a very little very crisp bacon would be most helpful. Noons - either vegetable juices, meat juices or a green salad or any sweets that may be chosen by the body. Evenings - there may be taken tea or coffee, or better still a cereal drink; with the vegetables three above the ground to one under the ground. Any of the vegetables that are preferable to the body, provided these are cooked in their OWN juices - as in Patapar paper. The meats would be those only of fish, fowl or lamb. These may be taken at home or may be taken in other places. Use at times douches for the cleansing of the uterus, with a weak solution of Atomidine - this about once or twice a month, see? to be sure NOT during periods. Be sure that the feet are kept dry and warm. When the massages are given, they should give the GLOW massage - or oil with a little salt and alcohol rub.

12. (Q) In what condition is the uterus? (A) As indicated, the necessity of keeping the cleansing forces and that which prevents any irritation. Inflammation produced by the engorging of the womb and of the channels themselves.

13. (Q) What caused the inflammation of the eyes? (A) This as we find was a local condition, aided and abetted by the general condition; and the sweats and rubs will alleviate the greater - rather than local applications.

14. (Q) What caused the neck to swell and become so inflamed the past week? (A) This arises from the natural inflammation to the glandular system in its readjustment. Hence the massage, the quietness and the general conditions as indicated for the body.

15. (Q) Would treatment at the MacFadden Health Resort at Dansville [N.Y.] prove beneficial to the body? (A) Be beneficial, though it may be had just as helpful at home if so desired - or at the Reilly institute.

16. (Q) What caused the many periods of nervousness felt lately? (A) This as is indicated, a natural reaction through these periods of change.

17. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Choose the manner in which these will be conducted. To be sure, if in the institute at Dansville it will be required. Then require self to follow just as strictly, if it is concluded to be taken in the home or in the city.
