1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [340]. This we have had before. In many respects we find changes in the physical conditions of the body from that as we have had before. While some of the conditions have improved, there is at present the accentuation of other conditions - or of cold and congestion - which has attacked the mucus membranes of the lower digestive system, and the colon involved, as is also the elimination centers through same, and as in the rectum.
2. In meeting the needs of the conditions at the present time, rest should be the first requisite; that is, keeping off of the feet.
3. Then we would, when there is the pain across the right side of abdomen and in the caecum region, apply hot packs of castor oil. This will not only RELIEVE the condition, but will enable the eliminating centers throughout this portion to throw off the refuse and prevent inflammation.
4. We would also give ENEMAS of olive oil to relieve the distress as is seen in the muscular forces in the descending colon.
5. We would also give internally those [properties] of an intestinal antiseptic. This, we would find, would be better in that of the Glyco-Thymoline.
6. We would not overtax the system with foods, but rather those of the predigested nature. Those of Ovaltine as a drink; of the brown bread, toasted; of oatmeals or gruels, or whole cereals are good.
7. We would also use an ointment that will relax and take from the system those of the feverish condition. Tim is good in this respect, but we would add WITH same those of that as would be found in some of the pillery (?) [pilary?] [hemorrhoid] ointments - Pazo's is good - that may be injected to the region of the upper muscular traction, see?
340-7 Page 2
These, as we find, in a few days should relieve the condition.
8. We would, through the manipulations, use those rather of the contracting nature in the lumbar and lower dorsal region; also relaxing the UPPER portion, that the blood supply may REMOVE from the system those drosses as have formed for the specific conditions in and through the intestinal system. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) How often should osteopathic treatments be given? (A) At least once each day. Not too severe, but that the conditions as are released in system - through the natural relaxation of body - do not find themselves centered in any one place. A relaxing treatment, and those of restriction in the lumbar and lower dorsal region.
10. (Q) How would you administer Glyco-Thymoline? (A) About five to fifteen drops at a dose, and give it about twice a day - and take it internally, with water.
11. That is all the questions regarding this body.
12. Do that, and we will find we will remove these conditions. Well that the inhalant as has been given [See 340-5] be kept through the system as a clarifier for the lungs and larynx, for this is an antiseptic and is healing to the mucus tissue and PREVENTATIVE of any accumulations that may find lodgement in a system depleted of the vitality.
