1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before. In many respects we find the body and the physical forces progressing VERY good. There are those indications of the over acidity as has existed in the system, affecting directly the circulation in its slowing up, and in the conditions as exist in the lungs themselves; yet these infections - or in infectious tendencies are those that COME and GO, and IF the DRAINAGES are kept well IN the system, and were [if] those of the building forces for increased oxidization - that is, more iron and more oxygen [were] given in the system, so that the ASSIMILATION is well in system, we will find these conditions will clear up, WITH the changes as have been brought about. Necessary that occasionally the body be put wholly on that of the citrus fruit diet, that the body abstain from too much of the sweets - especially that of the cane sugar variety, though those that are of the grape, or that are fermentation forming, and sweets as come from chocolates or of fruits that do not carry potash - THESE will be helpful to the general system. Well that the fruit salts at times be taken for the condition in the system, or in the bowel itself. This will produce better clarification. Also well that the antiseptic for the intestinal tract [Glyco- Thymoline; see 340-7 for mucous colitis], so that those tendencies of exciting the mucus membranes throughout the system do not become infectious from the acidity as has existed there and has been thrown much through the system; else we may form conditions that either will be resultant in the destructive forces for the kidneys' circulation or lungs, or both; for rarely (this would be well for ALL to remember) has there ever been a case of tuberculosis without FIRST the kidneys going bad.
2. (Q) How much exercise should be taken? (A) The exercise should be well balanced. Early morning, and NOT late at night. Much rest during the middle of the

day, but keep close to the seashore and to the pines. These will be well. Walking is better than any other character of exercise, but walk all over! Swing the arms and move the body!
3. (Q) Would you advise sand packs for this body? (A) No. Now, the differentiation between conditions of this kind and sand packs: WATER - water or salt water baths would be VERY good; not sand packs - for sand packs are to stimulate the capillary circulation, and are more for the EXTERIOR forces - while we are to STIMULATE a circulation that is INTERNAL.
4. (Q) Give cause and treatment of pain under right shoulder blade? (A) Well, this has all been given here. This produced from the condition existent in the system, as of the ACID - as it shifts about, and a slowed circulation.
In giving the iron, and its character - it may be well to give this in other than the foods, though it should be given in VERY SMALL doses. Better, as we find, to be given in either the iron and quinine, or that of Wyeth's Beef, Iron and Wine. or it may be well to alternate these, for the quinine is an active stimuli for a clarification of the blood stream, especially as to fermentations as are produced from any character of pus or bacilli as forms primarily in the circulation, coming directly from the liver or hepatic circulation; but too much of these maybe made as harmful as it may be made beneficial; but ALTERNATE it - or SMALL DOSES of same would be well for the body. These, of course, taken occasionally. We don't want so much appetite that this would become harmful in the ability to assimilate, but if the stimuli is kept in accordance with the abilities of the lacteals to carry ON - and to keep the duodenum in a perfectly ROUGH condition throughout; not allowing it to become smooth by too much of the ACIDS, we will find the conditions will improve much faster. See, when conditions are as this, foods should enter the stomach in the lactic or alkalin state; thus should be thrown into the system from those of the fermentations in the walls of the stomach itself, and when DIGESTION begins it should pass IN more of an alkalin state; not wholly, but more of the lactated - or condition where the activity of the hydrochlorics with the lactics have produced, and do produce - for all of the chyle forming throughout the duodenum - that of a THOROUGH ROUGHNESS, so that the whole SYSTEM IS in accord - but when it passes into same in an acid state, the walls soon become smooth, see? We are through with this reading for the present.
