Time of Reading Millinery Dept., 3:45 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tennessee. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: [In undertone: "In this same department, but inside here."] We have the body; this we have had before. Here, too, we find it well that the body consider the change in the environment and in the character of the activities. And there should be the proper precautions taken to STRENGTHEN the vitality of self to meet the needs of these conditions.

2. Do not overcrowd the stomach during the work periods, for this - with the tendencies that have existed (and that still show traces in the system) - tends to make for poor activity. While the energies are being used in the mental, in the hands, in the position of the body, there has to be an adjustment of the circulation to care for these portions of the body.

3. For this body the malted milk, with milk, will be helpful any time during the working period, but not the drinks where carbonated waters are used. MILK drinks are well; carbonated drinks poor.

4. As to the activities of the body as related to the general forces in the system, we find that the diet necessarily will be of particular value in considering the building up of the system, and those things that pertain to the alkalin reaction in the general; that is, for the morning and evening meal. Or rice cakes with spinach may be taken of morning. This doesn't sound like a non-acid food, but rice WITH spinach is not acid FORMING - if coffee without the tannin is used; as Kaffa Hag or the like. This will be helpful to the body. Orange juice, grapefruit, lemons - all should be taken in their proper order of mornings. Coddled egg with bacon. You may eat a portion of the white, but not all.

5. Let the evening meals consist of those foods that will assist in forming fermentation properly in the system; not too much starches or too much sweets that are sweetened with sugar.

Honey or sacharin [saccharin] would be very good, but not the activities with cane sugar.

6. The activities should be to relieve the portions on which there has been special strain during the day, or exercises just opposite, to strengthen the whole system. So, the bending and setting-up exercises morning and evening for three to four minutes will be most helpful to the body. Preferably the evening exercises would be for the lower portion, the limbs and from the diaphragm down. In the morning they would be for the upper portion of the body, from the diaphragm up.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) What causes rash on neck, and how may it be eliminated? (A) The diet and the change in the eliminations. With the eliminations properly adjusted, as we have indicated, this will disappear.

9. (Q) Am I ready to assimilate sufficient food to put on weight? (A) Provided the activities physically are such as to make for proper assimilation and distribution in all portions of the system; otherwise, we wouldn't get the activity properly.

10. (Q) What special foods would be more effective? (A) As indicated, those that will keep down the acidity in the body; which will make for strengthening of the body.
