Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ill. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [342].
2. As we find, while there are some disturbing influences in the better physical functioning of the body, these are in the greater part minor conditions in the present. And, were these corrected now, it would prevent greater distresses in those disturbing functionings later on.
3. Then these, as we find, have tendencies for specific conditions of minor nature; yet, if these are not eliminated, and the body continues to attempt to adjust itself to the disorders, then much of the troubles would become constitutional, and would make for distresses that would be more disturbing and harder to cope with to bring about normalcy in the physical functioning body.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [342] we are speaking of:
5. The BLOOD SUPPLY, as we find, shows little disturbances in the general system. There are periods when there would be shown some excess of refuse forces carried in the blood stream, weakening those portions of system where there are the tendencies of weakness. In the blood stream this is indicated by the disturbance that sometimes arises in the form of a humor in the capillary circulation, or especially the extremities where the emunctory circulation is nearer the surface; as under arms, elbows, in the groins, under knees, and the like.
6. With the taking of a little more alkalin in the system, ordinarily this disappears; but the causes of such disturbance are deeper, as we shall see.
7. In the NERVE SYSTEM, and SYSTEMS, we see again effects of a depletion in stamina in portions of the muscular and tendon forces of the body, produced by the lack of elements in the assimilation in system to supply proper nutriments for the keeping up of a normal balance.
8. Hence some glands come under distress through the
342-3 Page 2
condition, though the glands as yet are not the cause but a condition incident to improper balancing of the diet and of taking corrective or corrected exercise for the using up of energy and building of other forces in the system; which affects, as a part of same, the condition in the circulation to the auditory forces, to the eyes, to the head, by a depletion between the proper coordinated forces of sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve forces through those radial plexuses from 4th dorsal to the head. These are effects of this unbalanced condition, as also (the natural position, the straining of the eyes under light that is not in proper position, improper circulation) weakening in the locomotaries along the inside, and accompanying tendons along sciatic forces of the lower limbs, producing tiredness in feet and inflammation in Achillean burse, and producing that weakening in the arches of the feet.
9. The tendencies arise from disturbance to the thyroid, adrenal glands, as well as those of the lymph circulation, which is disturbed through this impoverishment in the lacteal centers or ganglia.
10. As indicated, then, these disturbances for this body, [342], are perfunctorily those of a debilitation by worry, bad eating, bad exercising, and are not of a nature as yet that would be termed serious or unbalanced.
11. Then, the ORGANS of the system are only disturbed at times; as the digestive system finds that these conditions at times produce sour stomach, tendency for heaviness in the kidneys from the attempt of the system to balance itself from an acidity and from the extra amount of uric acid or forces that are seen. At such times or at some periods, these make for a quickened pulse; though no organic or even functional heart disturbance, but a general internal hepatic disturbance, or a quickened hepatic circulation.
12. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions, we would find that the debilitation would be overcome, making for a nearer normal balance in weight, or avoirdupois of the body - not excessive, but at present some ten to twelve pounds underweight for the better functioning of the body, mentally and physically.
13. We would begin first as with this:
14. Of mornings take a cold shower as soon as the body steps out of bed, see? COLD shower, with an exceedingly good vigorous rubdown, rubbing especially the spine until the whole of it is glowing.
15. Then take ten minutes of quick exercising of the arms and upper portion of the body, especially the head and neck exercise - which will aid in relieving the distresses in the
342-3 Page 3
sympathetic as related to the sensory organism; hence the arms having much to do with the exercise, and they would be similar to this:
16. As punching the bag (straight forward), then throwing the arms backward, expanding the chest, raising on the toes during such exercise, see? (and this with as little clothes on as is permissible with the surroundings). Then high over head, straight up, see? Then circular motion of arms, then the head and neck - bend forward (standing erect) three times, backward three times, to the left, to the right, then circle, see? It will strengthen the whole system.
17. Then, in the evening, take a tepid bath, see - not hot, not cold, but tepid. And then take the STOOPING exercise. Those that will strengthen the muscles and activity of the limbs from the waist downward, see? Especially those that rise on toes, rise on heels, rocking back and forth. Stooping, raising one foot; stooping, raising the other foot, and the like - see?
18. After such exercise in the evening, then rub down with a combination or compound of this: Russian White Oil...............2 ounces, Rub Alcohol.....................2 ounces, Witchhazel......................1 ounce, Oil of Sassafras...............20 minims. Put this in a container half again as large as the quantity, for the tendency of the Sassafras Oil is to rise, but - before this is massaged into the spine (and the tendons of the lower limbs, knees and, especially, feet) - shake well together, see - that is, the oils. Then massage just what the body will absorb.
19. Begin from the first and take each day (for ten days, then rest five days, then begin over again) three drops of Atomidine before breakfast and five drops before retiring of evening, each dose in a whole glass of water.
20. The diet: Balance the diet well. This would be an outline; not to be adhered to in such strict sense as to become obnoxious but, as indicated, for a balancing of the body - see?
21. Mornings - fruits (raw) or cereals, or citrus fruits, or the like - but do not mix citrus fruits with cereals. Fresh fruits may be mixed. A little bacon occasionally. Coddled egg occasionally. A cereal drink; not coffee, but a cereal drink; as Ovaltine, chocolate, or the like - see?
22. Noons - none save green vegetables, or cooked vegetable soups (but not the vegetable itself if cooked); but raw
342-3 Page 4
vegetables, as carrots, celery, lettuce, tomatos, peppers, and the like. These may be made into a salad, with dressings or oils; or the salad may be altered occasionally (at such a meal) with green or raw fruits.
23. Evenings - a well balanced, well cooked vegetable meal, with (when meats are taken) fish, fowl or the like. One meal each week (evening meal) should be with tripe or liver, see?
24. Do these, and we will balance this body well together.
25. Ready for questions.
26. (Q) Are there any conditions in my teeth affecting my general or particular health? (A) Some of the teeth, as we find, need attention; and the gums need the use of such as Ipsab. The teeth should be given local attention. Not the cause; rather - at present - a resort [result?].
27. That is all the questions.
28. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " File
