Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Body & enquiring mind, conditions and circumstances surrounding her mental activities and business affairs. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [346]; those conditions mentally, materially, that confront the body in its activities.

2. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Will Mr. Brandler of 1441 B'way be helpful and honest in plans for cooperation with my business? (A) As we find, there may be a great deal of hope and faith put in the association and relation in this direction. To be sure, it will require that there is not too much leeway given Brandler in some associations and directions, yet in the whole - while the plans are much in a manner that has been contemplated - through the cooperative efforts of Brandler there would be brought about more quickly that desired position in this direction. This we would join in, then.

4. (Q) From whom can I borrow now $600 to pay immediate pressing obligations? (A) When all conditions are considered, is it best that this be a loan? Isn't it the better plan that those associations be more active in the present, through which there may be expected business relations, when there is not only the necessity but the seeking of many that are in need of the services and efforts of the body and its associations in meeting the requirements demand in their connections? and thus through a somewhat slower process, but a much surer and safer process, meet those needs and requirements even that are pressing? For, there may be expected - if the efforts of the body in its activity are kept in alive, active manner - that cooperation from those through and to whom the obligations are imminent in the present.

346-2 Page 2

Hence, as we would find, we would stress and press - not with undue severity, but with a renewed hope, renewed faith, and renewed conditions in self and self's abilities to meet the requirements through the varied activities and associations of the body, in the directions that will not only make for a better association with those that appear to be strained in these directions, but will also make for better associations and relations from those through whom the body may gain that necessary to meet these urgent demands at this time.

5. (Q) Will the income from this business be sufficient to pay all business debts and meet current expenses, or will I have to borrow the money? (A) If these are carried on in the manner as referred to here, and not losing hope, not losing faith in self, self's abilities, not becoming entangled in petty conditions that may arise but each and every associate working towards that need, there will not only be sufficient to meet the current requirements but the obligations already incurred and the current coming expenses necessary for the carrying on. It's a good business! It's a good connection! They are in the increase. Why be downhearted when things are looking up?

6. (Q) Name the business firms from whom I can obtain work to cover current expenses. (A) Through the associations and connections of those intimated from the above and from the connections that may be made with the manufacturing firms that are in the direct need, and in the ways of needing - and will supply - those connections, as we find, to meet these. Rather work with that which has been set, and in making those contacts through those associations and connections.

7. (Q) Am I in my thoughts or actions holding business away from me? (A) Discouragement always defeats that which would be necessary to make for better associations and connections. In those relationships, yes, this holds away some business that would mean much to the conditions in the present. Hence the attitude not only of hopefulness but of determinedness to be able to meet in a way and manner every circumstance that arises in the experience. Beware of entanglements in the relationships with individuals that would make for questioning of the abilities, or the reasons or the causes for carrying on. But know there is a place for such a service as the body may in its endeavors supply, and know that sufficient for carrying on all the requirements - and for those already

346-2 Page 3

made, and to meet the needs from day to day - will be supplied. And even to make some excess in the next three to four months. Remember the three's are the activities. Set for self a task and waver not.

8. (Q) Suggest specific commercial activities that will enable us to bring in more business. (A) These have already been covered in the lines and in the first associations and connections that are being made. Were these not made more on the third day, and isn't it since the third week and the third month since these connections were started?

9. (Q) Am I, [346], equipped mentally, spiritually and physically to carry on the work I have planned here? (A) That we have been telling all along! If there was any fault in the equipment of self mentally, physically or spiritually, would these not have been rather in the correcting of those faults that lie within self rather than with the mental attitudes that are being created by the associations and connections in the present? For these WILL meet the needs and the equipment mentally, physically, spiritually, is efficient, is sufficient. The WILL to do, to dare, will make for carrying on.

10. (Q) Is [355] equipped mentally, physically and spiritually to carry on the work she has planned in connection with this office? (A) This requires, to be sure, that there be some mental stimuli, some physical stimuli, that there be the best that may be given through the activities of the entity [355], for the better service, for the better equipping of self; and leaving off those things that have easily beset, there will be the determination in self to not only meet the needs, not only meet the requirements from day to day, but to so apply self in the present and in each association and in each activity as to be BETTER qualified for meeting the needs for the carrying on. That, to be sure, requires determination on the part of self, and the COOPERATION of those that would labor with, would use their mental equipment, their mental balance, their physical associations, in the proper way and manner for the aiding of each in meeting the needs. And if these become heavy, if these become discouraging, then know there is that Advocate through which there may be gained those influences for self to meet the needs - if the will of self will be set in the proper channel.

11. (Q) Is Florence Worthaler equipped to be associated in any capacity with this business? (A) In many ways, yes. The activities here in Florence Worthaler require much to be added to the determinations in

346-2 Page 4

self to fill, to meet those requirements, those needs, in the activities. While the conditions have been divided, and the interests have been divided somewhat, if there are the determinations in self that there is a place without infringing upon or making for self any entanglements at to make for "Wish I hadn't done that - Wish that things had been different"; but rather that self MEETS the needs as they arise from the activities of self's abilities mentally and physically. And there should be sufficient; yea, more than sufficient with the cooperation of all concerned, for all to be kept QUITE busy. But let the spirit of love and truth be the basis of the activities throughout for all.

12. (Q) As you see this work are my ideals and plans in accord with the highest possible achievements possible in this line of endeavor? (A) There are days that they are in accord with the highest possible. There are days and periods when the body sinks rather to the requirements or the needs of the hour until the ideals become rather vague. Yet the purposes, the aims, the abilities, the developments in the mental and spiritual aspects on life are high; and know that Life means Creative Forces that partake more of the spiritual aspects of existence than of those of the earth or clay. And when the ideals are trusted to be the guiding influence in the experience, whether these be from material, mental, social or business relations, there is created through that which has been set before self that which makes for the carrying on. Even as is known in self without a great deal of questioning, God IS; and if we purpose in our hearts that we as individuals, in our affairs in daily life, in associations with our fellow man, in our meeting the needs, are being of a service to those through whom there should come even the means of daily existence and that we are His, we magnify in that life that we lead HIS purposes, His aims. This does not maintain that long-facedness or clamminess should be the activity in approach to individuals or to groups, but rather know that gentleness, brotherly-love, patience, fellowships, graciousness, the kind word, are the fruits of the spirit. And they beget in the hearts, minds, souls, of others that which makes for the strength in body, the purposefulness in mind, the abilities in purpose, in person, to meet the needs to carry on. Then in that light know that which comes about in His will for the developments of the soul. And if there should arise

346-2 Page 5

conditions that make for weariness in purpose, doubting in the mind, know that the fault lies at thine own door. Then search thine own heart and know as thou seekest so will ye find, whether in the material, the mental or spiritual aspects of life.

13. (Q) From the apparent trend and developments in the textile industries within the coming year which of the five textile fibres should we concentrate our study and testing upon? (A) Those that make for those that are the leads in the present in the requirements in this direction, which are those that are of mixed goods, combinations of textile fibre or textile actions in their relationships with the various usages to which they are put.

14. (Q) When should we reestablish the Tex-style Digest and what changes can we make in it to make it a success? (A) This, to be sure, will depend upon how great a hope there is given in the activities with the new associations that are eminent in the experience of the business. When this has been made, and is of a sufficient sturdiness or assured (in material associations) for the requirements to be such that this be reestablished, be well for it. But this should be founded on the same basis: Unless this has not only a place but meets the requirements of those to whom it must be as a guide, a signpost in their activities, and can be done in such a manner as to fill this place complete, then don't do it.

15. (Q) Is this present location and office alright for our work? (A) Alright for "our work".

16. (Q) When is the next advantageous date for Mr. [425] to take off for Rome? (A) Seventh.

17. (Q) What time should he leave? (A) Between two and three in the afternoon. This has gotten far afield from these in the present.

18. (Q) Is there any other advice for guidance for [346]. (A) Know self, self's weakness, as well as self's strong points. Study to make these extremes be more cooperative in the endeavors of the body in all its relations.
