Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Nashville, Tenn. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before. Save for the effects of congestion from strain, weakness, anxiety, combined with congestion, much better are the conditions than we had the body before.
2. We would change somewhat now with the activity of the body, the applications for the betterment of the general conditions. We would change, with the activities physically [He had just ret'd to work after being out of a job for several months], somewhat in the line of diet; for more of the carbohydrates or sweets may be added; but not too much nor too large quantities, see? but a little may be taken and gradually increase to normalcy in these directions. Let there be a little taken at each meal, preferably beginning with honey in the honeycomb and gradually adding sweetmeats or pastries that are well cooked; not soggy or soft in any nature, but well cooked.
3. Upon retiring we would be mindful that there is sufficient electrical vibration through the violet ray towards those portions, or over those portions of the diaphragm area to the end of the toes, and especially across the lumbar area, that will change the conditions in the system.
4. The massage would also be very well occasionally, with the applications of the oils and the myrrh over those portions that have shown affectations.
5. Do these. We will bring the better conditions for this body, [348].
6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) Anything special for the cold? (A) We would keep on hand for colds or coughs, or for those things that disturb from the atmosphere or the variations in the cleanliness of the air [Nashville, Tenn.] that tend to make for accumulations, an expectorant that would retard the

inflammation of muco-membranes of the bronchi and lungs, and add to the whole digestive system, prepared in this way and manner:
To 1 gallon of distilled water, we would add 4 ounces of horehound. Reduce this by slow boiling to 1 pint (16 ounces). Strain and then to this add:
Syrup made of honey, 2 ounces of honey boiled (or coming to a boil) in 2 ounces distilled water.
Then, to the solution add:
Grain Alcohol................1 1/2 ounces, Glycerine.......................10 drops, Tincture of Capsici..............2 drops.
The solution will require shaking each time before it is to be taken, which would be a teaspoonful whenever necessary. Because it's hot and produces irritation at some times, from the Capsici with the other properties, do not become alarmed; for this will be reduced after taking it for a little bit, see?
8. We are through for the present.
