Time of Reading 10:50 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Body & enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice & guidance as to her mental & material well-being. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, and those conditions in the mental and material affairs of the body at this time, [349]. Ready for questions.

2. (Q) How can I make a good impression on Maurice Schwartz and John Wexley when I read a part for them at 4 P.M. today in the office of Daniel Frohman at 149 W. 45th St., so I can get a part in "Yoshe Kalb"? (A) As pointed out, there must be in the activities of the body the assurance that the necessary qualifications for activities in these directions are at a place where self is at least satisfied with the efficiency. And then when taking such a move there needs be only that self acts, speaks, presents that which is NATURAL in self. And the qualifications, as we find, JUSTIFY the body to feel that there will be just as good opportunity for self in this undertaking as with any that may present themselves.

3. (Q) What part in this production would I be fitted for and that I should try for? (A) That to which it will be cast, in the roles that fit not only the mannerisms but the type, the voice, and the abilities.

4. (Q) What possible objections might there be to my not getting part in this play? (A) As to what the mind of an individual may be, or as to the mind of a casting director, is hard to say as to what would be the influences that would cause one to act; for the idiosyncrasies of such individuals are well known. Hence individuals in presenting themselves, the more natural they are the less injection there is of show, the less there is of "put on"; or of acting parts not in self's own actions as normal, unfits and lessens the possibility of being chosen

for such parts or such productions; that is, the less of such activities the better.

5. (Q) What professional name shall I assume that will bring me success in the theatrical profession? (A) Rather this, as we have given before, the body should choose for self. Then, as to whether these harmonize or coordinate with the vibrations of the body and its abilities may be best given.

6. (Q) Which of the following names would be the best - Carla Bellda or Belda Tarrant? (A) Carla Bellda.

7. (Q) When can I hope for my financial condition to improve so my family and I can be helped financially? (A) As the qualifications and activities are expanded [expended?] in the fields that the body chooses in its relations and associations, so will there be the advancement. As to when, the time, the place, this would be rather as guessing. But, as we find, it would be in the coming year.

8. (Q) In the event I am not engaged - (A) Why say in the event that you are not engaged? Just know you will be, and act that way!

9. (Q) Is my plan the best to follow out at this time, as I have been doing - by centering all my interests in getting an engagement in the theatre? (A) The best.

10. (Q) When can I hope to get in the movies? (A) In eighteen months from the time you commence work in the regular theatrical profession.

11. (Q) What company will take me? (A) There may be the choosing of one of two sources, as we find, either in the Paramount and their associated organization, or the National Distributors, or National, Incorporated.

12. (Q) What persons in these movie companies should I approach that will give me a chance? (A) Any of the casting directors; after the work in the theatre, to be sure, for then some would be different; and to give which ones would be uncomplimentary to some, for some that's [that are] in high position are going to be brought low!

13. (Q) Will I screen well as to face, figure and voice? (A) To be sure, these will require certain characters or certain parts; but screen well as to voice, as to figure.

14. (Q) Who, in this present experience, was once my former teacher Xerlon, in the Grecian-Roman period, years 421 to 300? [See 349-9.]

349-15 Page 3

(A) This would be a real search. We don't find it in the present.

15. (Q) Who, in this present experience, was the play actor, Xterites, in that same period with whom I was associated? (A) He hasn't appeared yet in these activities, as we find; because these we find along with that just asked. They are younger in their associations; they are coming on.

16. (Q) With whom was I associated in any incarnation or experience to whom I could go now and who would help me in the theatre or movies? (A) As the activities are begun in this field of activity in this direction, as we find, or brought about, there will be the natural drawing together of interests of those who were associated in kindred association in former conditions. As to naming these in the present, it is like seeking the needle - the proverbial needle in the haystack; for these have not had kindred thoughts in their activities as yet, and thoughts must make the directions.

17. (Q) What personalities of Geraldine Farrar, as once given, should I gain to help me make a success in the theatrical profession? [349-8, Par. 24-A] (A) The manner particularly of entrances and exits to the actvities in the profession. For, as will soon be seen by the entity or body in its action, these are the periods when the greater impression is made upon that "dear public", that is so necessary for every one that would make a success of associations in these directions. And there will be seen from the abilities of Geraldine Farrar in this connection that few ever surpassed these abilities.

18. (Q) Who is the National, Incorporated company? (A) Those associated with two, three companies in the selection or supplying of those that are to be cast in special production for independent companies.

19. (Q) Where are they located? (A) In Hollywood.

20. (Q) Am I going about it in the right way - in trying to get a stage engagement? (A) We would be very assured that there should be very close to, or the opportunity in the very near future. Going about it in the proper way.

21. (Q) Please advise if there are any advices to be heeded in regard to my health generally. (A) These have been very well outlined for the body, and there needs be only those precautions and the general activities in relationships to same as necessary for keeping the body physically and mentally fit for the activities in such associations as contemplated in the present.

(A) Those who have charge of the distribution of same in that particular vicinity and association. Be well that the claim, or the going to would be to the inspector of stands in that particular vicinity.
