Time of Reading 10:30 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tenn. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [359]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, there are some material changes in the general physical functioning of the body from that we have had here before. Not all of these are for the improvement, correction or eliminating of that which disturbs the body physically; still, as we find, the effect of the disturbances may be eliminated as well as the cause of the disorders in the system.
3. Then, these are the conditions that we find with this body, [359] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY, as we find, shows somewhat of an improvement; still it is a long way from being normal, for there still exists the excess of anemia from the poor assimilation that is accorded in the system.
5. While the numbers of the red blood cells show a greater efficiency in the numbers that exist, the numbers as related to the normal for the body are still deficient.
6. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM, we still find there are those centers and plexus that would be materially aided through the mechanical manipulations and adjustments, to alleviate the tendencies in the activity as related to the distributing, and to the assimilating system, and aiding in there being accorded a more perfect circulation throughout the body.
7. These conditions show changes somewhat from what we have had before, yet they are the contributory causes and the effects in the present - the disturbances in the cerebrospinal nervous system; while those in the sympathetic system are wholly reflex.
8. In the functioning of the ORGANS, as we find, there still exists those conditions in the digestive system where the greater disturbances exist, in the activity of the spleen
359-2 Page 2
and pancreas and the liver, particularly, making for an inactivity of the secretions through the coordination between the pancrean fluids for assimilating carbohydrates, and the activity of proteids and peptones in the system, and the gall activity on fats and starches in the system.
9. Hence we find that the matter or manner of the diet has been, and will continue to be, one of the controlling or effective factors in bringing about or producing that for the system which will aid in producing near normalcy for the body.
10. It will also be necessary that there be the addition of that stimuli in the cerebrospinal system, as indicated, for the effectual activity of that which IS assimilated; through the stimulating of the various ganglia along the cerebrospinal system for their activity, and the relief of pressures in others to stimulate or produce incentives for better functionings, with the applications that may be given to aid in the present condition, for the bringing of a more normalcy in the liver, kidneys (as the opposite pole for functioning), and the spleen, pancreas and the assimilating system, or gall and the lymph in the lacteal activities of the system.
11. Then, for the further corrections, and for that which will make a great improvement in the general physical reactions in the body, we would have the adjustments - which might be given two or three times each week. Preferably, as we find, these should be given in the osteopathic manner, that makes for the activity with the muscular forces as well as in the adjustments along the cerebrospinal system.
12. We would also use the compound known as AL-CAROID, at least once each day. Or, should there be the feelings of too full a stomach after eating, take a small quantity at that time - but at least once each day, preferably before retiring, we would take a level teaspoonful in a glass of water, of course stirring before the glass is filled, and drinking extra water afterwards - one or two glasses.
13. Occasionally we would also use the Caroid Bile Salts Tablets.
14. Also we would have the vibratory forces applied over the whole diaphragm region when the manipulations are given, either from the electrically driven vibrator or the violet ray; or both of these might be given, alternately - one one time and one another.
15. These, as we find, will bring about a much more normal condition.
16. As to the diets, these will of necessity require being considered rather seriously, that there be not too much
359-2 Page 3
fats, nor too much carbohydrates or sugars; but that these be well-balanced, and changed occasionally - and be sure that that taken (while there may be sufficient in quantity) is that which will be assimilated by the system.
17. The taking of a tonic might be helpful at times, but it should only be taken at periods of four to five days, with an equal period of rest from it. Such a tonic might be found in Weyth's Beef, Iron and Wine.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) The heart gives a good deal of trouble. (A) This is purely a reflex condition, produced by the inefficient quantity of the circulation and the organ attempting to use ALL that is in the system for the sustenance of same, see? Just as might be an illustration of an engine attempting to pull a heavy load with too little steam! When the adjustments and corrections are made, in the activity of the organs as referred to, this condition will be relieved. For, these are the activities from the treatments suggested: The manipulations are only for a stimuli to the proper distribution of the tendencies that are created by that assimilated in the digestive fluids, or the oxidization throughout the system - see? Hence, these treatments would not be curatives - but a defensive method, see? and necessary for the proper distribution; hence the correcting of the conditions. The AL-CAROID carries that which will make better assimilation of the foods taken into the system, supplying (in the manner as given) a stimuli at the same time for the effectual correcting of deficiencies in the organs to assimilate the necessary fluids for their activity. Hence, is an active principle with the spleen, pancreas and liver functioning. Also the Caroid Bile Salts Tablets, which should be taken once a week - or at some periods every day for one to two days, then leave off for two or three days, these are the active principles that function with the gastric forces of the duodenum and the liver itself, in producing functioning with the gall duct itself, supplying the stimuli and - when supplying the stimuli - necessarily drawing FROM the system the energies in other portions of the body. Hence the necessity of the stimulation by the vibratory
359-2 Page 4
method, over the liver area - as well as the massage to aid in proper distribution of energies in the body. The use also of a tonic will add to the digestive forces, such as found in wine and iron - and a little strychnine in it won't hurt, but preferably the Wyethe's Beef, Iron and Wine - in its essence, see? This adds to the gastric juices of the stomach and reduces the acidity in the upper stomach, or in the stomach proper, while the properties in AL-CAROID will act WITH the gastric juices to create more of the alkalin - as it passes into the duodenum for assimilation by the system. Do these, and we will bring the better conditions for this body.
20. (Q) When taking the Bile Salts Tablets, what should be the dosage? (A) Two tablets - five grain tablets, they are.
21. (Q) The bowels give a good deal of trouble, and swell - as the stomach, and gives a good deal of pain. (A) Acid! The AL-CAROID will reduce this, provided there are those elements taken that have been indicated to EMPTY same and reduce the irritation to the muco-membranes of the intestinal tract itself. These will all be relieved.
22. (Q) What would be an outline of the diet for a day? (A) It has been indicated that this should be changed rather severely at times. This would be an outline, though necessarily - as indicated - it might within two days disagree entirely with the body: Mornings - citrus fruit juices, with browned toast, coddled egg, and occasionally very crisp bacon - but not burned. Or this may be changed to cereals with fruits or berries, with a little sugar - but that used should be preferably the brown or the beet sugar. With these may be taken milk, or there may be added browned toast and the like. A little coffee may be taken, if desired, at such times. Or it may be changed to fresh fruits, with cream, sugar and the like, but not too great a quantity. Noons - preferably meat juices, but not the meats; that is, soups - or strained vegetables, and preferably not the vegetables themselves - or, if so, very small quantities.
359-2 Page 5
Or a whole green vegetable salad may be taken, or the like - or it may be changed entirely to sandwiches, with meat - provided there is used the browned bread or toasted bread, or whole wheat bread, or the like. Evenings - whole vegetables, well-balanced, two above the ground to one under the ground, well-cooked, with meats - provided no fats are taken with same, see? but the meats should never be other than either mutton, fowl or fish; not beef, though beef JUICES would be well to be taken - but NOT the beef itself, see?
23. (Q) What causes the pain in the urinal canal, or around same? (A) The great strain that is upon the system to supply to the liver and digestive system, from the opposite pole (the kidneys) and the organs of same. With the taking of the properties as indicated, these will clarify - as given - the assimilations in such a manner as to relieve these tendencies. While there will be made a tendency for greater activity at times, they will not irritate near as much with the normal stimulation. Hence the stimulation of the cerebrospinal nervous centers, for the electrical distribution of energies through the system, see? These are reflex. They are not causes; they are EFFECTS of conditions.
24. (Q) What is the best thing to do to quiet nerves while at work? (A) Stop, rest, control self for a few moments; this is best, for - as indicated - this is a reaction from the sympathetic nerve system, which is received through the irritation to any of the activities of the system by association. Then, to rest a moment, to quiet self a moment, is to gain control through the sympathetic system from the energies that are created or distributed by the manipulative forces in the cerebrospinal system. All of these combined, or cooperating one with another, will bring about better conditions. Follow this outline that we have given, and we will find all of these disorders being corrected and better conditions will ensue.
