Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, Mrs. [360]; this we have have had before.

2. Now, as we find, there are changes in the general physical conditions of the body, and the specific conditions, since last we had same here. Not all of these are for the general betterment. But, as we find, it should not be construed - because there hasn't been the whole response that has been outlined for the body - that the time has been wasted, or that the treatments which have been given are all in vain.

3. True, the irritation to the optic root of the nerves - or optic nerve - has caused some reflex irritation to the eyes, and some general conditions have not been so good.

4. The GENERAL condition, as we find, may soon be improved, from the normal reactions; if there is not too great a stress put on the other disorder.

5. As we find, these applications for the conditions would be nearer in line with that which we find would be helpful; and so re-vitalize the general and specific conditions as to make for a BETTERMENT, specifically and generally, for the whole body, Mrs. [360].

6. We would have a continuation of the loosening of the centers from the 3rd or 4th dorsal to the 1st cervicals, with some general massage until the tautness has been removed and these portions are more thoroughly relaxed. For this particular condition, and in this particular case, we would suggest that the services of Dr. Cornelia J. Browne [D.C., N.D.] be considered, and that there be used the full suggestions that aid may come to the body with the continued or systematic and consistent use of those things given. The adjustments will of necessity be as often as necessary to maintain the relaxation that is gained. It will not be possible to release all of these segments, that show subluxations, at once; but will require some little time.

7. Each evening in the home, (and may be applied by one attending the body, Mrs. [360]) we would have the violet ray; using the double eye applicator over the eyes, and not more than one and a half to three minutes at each treatment. Be sure that the double eye applicator is used, and that it is not at too full a strength in the beginning.

8. When there is any irritation of the lids and the eye itself, we would also use a poultice over the cavity of the eye made from scraped Irish potato; not new potatoes, however, neither those that have sprouted. Scrape them and use sufficient to fill the cavity of the eye, see? This would be applied at night and bound so that it would not cause trouble to the body. Of mornings, or if irritation arises later in the evening (but should remain on all night when possible), cleanse the eye socket and cavity with an antiseptic solution. This will tend to make for an easing of the disturbed forces.

9. The reactions that are desired, or that are to be produced in the system, are as these:

10. From the tautness, or impingements that exist in the area indicated, the supply of circulation or blood supply and nerve energy from the sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve system, that supply the organs of the sensory system and - specifically - the optic nerve (that runs directly through to the brain itself, but the supplies - as any good anatomist would say - are connections (for the eyes) from the 4th dorsal plexus to the second cervical plexus, see?) has been poor. Hence there has been an irritation that, with poor circulation in the body, has caused a raising - or tendency of raising - energies to the lens of the eyes themselves. As yet this has not reached those proportions where it may be called true atrophy of the optic nerve. And, if there is the releasing of the impingements in the areas indicated, and a stimulation sufficient (not overstimulated, as seen from the character of application of electrical forces for the body, but) to use the energies that may be supplied through the portions of the system - and the general health, assimilations and eliminations kept in order, we should build back a great deal; possibly not perfectly normal, but a WELL reaction in the optic forces of this body.

11. Then, we would follow these, in this direction.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Is there anything wrong with her glands? (A) No more than that of general debilitation from the effect of a disturbed circulation, that shows a great deal of improvement. And these conditions will be met as

applications for corrections progress.

14. (Q) What antiseptic would be best to use in cleansing eyes? (A) Any solution that is not injurious to the tissue. There has been used regularly an antiseptic solution for these conditions. This is very good.
