Hq. & Hq. Sqd. 13th Time of Reading Composite Wing, A.C. 3:50 to 4:10 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Borinquen Field, Puerto Rico.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [361], Hqr. & Hqr. Squadron 13th Composite Wing, Borinquen Field Air Corp., Puerto Rico, together with the information that has been given, the present opportunity of a transfer, my present surroundings, and health, my life's work and how I may attain to same. You will examine these and give me specific counsel and advice in making the change at this time.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [361]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, and as indicated, that as would be in keeping with the life's work, the greater opportunities for the service in the Army, to be of the grater service to the entity, would be in the Quartermaster's Division of the Ordinance Department.
4. Opportunities are offered in the present, though it would require the ability to obtain transfer to that individual department for special training or activity as first indicated for the body.
5. But when there is considered the length of service, the health, and all phases of opportunities in the present and the future, these would be the better channels through which this entity would obtain and give the better service in the activities during the present period of disturbance and preparations for defense in this land.
6. Hence as we find - if there are the opportunities in the present for such transfer to be accomplished - WE would give, as in the beginning, that this phase of the work would be the better channel for the entity to be active in.
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) My Commanding Officer now seems willing for me to

transfer to some other branch of the service. To what Company or Squadron, and at what location, should I seek a transfer in order to get into the distribution of food and clothings of the Quartermaster Department? (A) It would be necessary to make transfer to the Quartermaster's Department, see? Then as indicated, and as was promised the entity in the beginning, there WOULD be those periods of training or schooling for same.
9. (Q) Would it be in line with my life's work for me to transfer to 347 Ordinance Corp? (A) This as we find would only be partially so, and would prove to be in this end more irritating than that in the present.
10. (Q) Should I appeal to the Sgt. of the Ordinance in order to make the transfer or let my present officer officer handle the transfer for me? (A) The present officer and make it for the Quartermaster Division; not merely Ordinance. It is a portion of Ordinance, sure - but not the portion of phase that the entity should be or would find the best service in. For the life's work, for the peace of mind, and for the general health.
11. (Q) Should I push my transfer now or wait until reinforcements come from the U.S.? (EC: "from the West?" U.S. "This is still west.") (A) As we find, this application should be made and let it take its regular course; and let it be handled by the superior officer AND in line with those suggestions indicated. This will necessitate that the entity, in a manner, be demoted for a period, but as indicated this will then be in the service and in the line where greater or better service may be rendered, and where it will be in keeping with that as should be the entity's life's work.
12. (Q) Where should I ask for technical training in food and clothings? (A) These naturally will come to the regular centers. Let this be a part of the Army transfer, or to that place whereever is chosen; which as we find will be in the middle west.
13. (Q) How can I show my appreciation to my Officer and still ask them to release me from their squadron? (A) Only in that these will be the channels in which the better service may be rendered. If such are in keeping with that they are sworn for, then it is in line with the duty of each.
14. (Q) Can Capt. K. O. Sanborn be of help to me in getting me into my right work?
361-14 Page 3
(A) Any superior officer may be of help, that is willing.
15. (Q) Give me specific information as to how Quartermaster training will help me in years to come, that is in my life's work? (A) This has already been indicated in that first given, as to what the service or activities of the entity are to be or should be, and as to how they fit in with the preparation of the body for such activities activities.
16. (Q) Please give me advice and help that will give me strength to do the right thing and not to yield to the easiest way, even though it may often look best. (A) Look within self to thy ideal. Here the answer must come, within self. For as indicated, and not merely as a trite saying, "My spirit beareth witness with thy spirit," as to whether ye be serving thy ideal or whether ye be the child of God or not. These are real, not just sayings. There are those influences within self - as self understands - that are directed by the conscious, if the conscience is kept in attune with the divine within.
17. (Q) Would the split up in the 13th Wings Headquarter and Headquarter Squadron be worth me waiting for? (A) Depends on what the entity is choosing to do.
18. (Q) Just how will politics tie up with my life's work? (A) As indicated. Read that which has been outlined. This will be found, as the body does the first things first.
19. (Q) Any spiritual advice for this body? (A) Keep to that faith which has prompted thee from within. Seek not for that which is the easier way, but which is INDEED - as He gave - the easier way in the end. For as He gave, "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me - my yoke is easy, my burden is light," When in accord then with that direction He gives, it is easy - though from the worldly viewpoint anything else!
