Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [369]; this we have had before.

2. As we find, conditions are changed somewhat in the general physical forces of this body, and there are some that are still aggravating to the system and others that show a great improvement in the general conditions.

3. These are rather the conditions as we find them in the present:

4. The body-physical and its activities, and its response to the general mental, material and physical and emotional body, we find in the present much in that position against which in some ways and manners the body has been warned in times past; those tendencies for the weaknesses in certain glands and activities, as indicated in the body not being able - as it were - to keep pace with the general conditions necessarily required to keep a normal balance for the body.

5. While these have been of the nature, as indicated, where congestions arose in the functioning of the glands of purification of the blood supply (notably, the activities of the glands about the liver, spleen, pancreas, and the relationships with the hepatic circulation), these now have reached that stage where they tend to make for the accumulations of too great a flow of the lymph through those portions of the system attempting to adjust themselves and to throw off these activities in such ways and manners as to keep a balance in the body.

6. Hence we find a RETURN, as it were, of the dull heaviness in the head, tiredness through the limbs, and a general nausea and dissatisfaction through the digestive system, with the tendencies for activities through the alimentary canal at times that become unpleasant and a strain on the body. Not enough of tautness, as it were, in any of the ganglia along the cerebrospinal system, for at times the body feels - or has the feeling as if the whole limbs and

369-12 Page 2

activities of the system might be just strewn about loosely.

7. In meeting these conditions in the present, we would alter somewhat the activities for the body, that would PREVENT the reactions and cause the better conditions throughout.

8. Prepare, then, a tonic. As we find, not a greater quantity than this would be necessary, made in this way and manner, and each ingredient added in the order as given. To 32 ounces of DISTILLED water, we would add: Wild Cherry Bark..............2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Root.............2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root..............2 ounces, Buchu Leaves.................15 grains. Reduce this by slow boiling to one-half the quantity. Set this aside, then, as one portion of the whole.

9. Then, to 16 ounces of distilled water, we would add: Wild Ginseng..................1 ounce, Indian Turnip.................2 drams, Cincho Bark.................1/2 ounce. Reduce this by slow boiling to one-half the quantity. Strain. Add these then together by pouring the SMALLER quantity into the LARGER quantity - or to the first.

10. Then add to the whole solution 2 ounces of Strained Honey that is cut with 2 ounces of Grain Alcohol.

11. Shake this together when the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful before breakfast, before lunch, before the evening meal and before retiring. Take it for three days, rest a day; then continue until the whole quantity is taken.

12. We will find that, with the massage - that is helpful and beneficial to the body - these will bring about a real change in the body.

13. With these things, and especially with the quantity being taken, do not apply now the electrical vibrations. Rather give the massage, by the electrically driven vibrator or by hand.

14. Be mindful in the diets, that not too much starch nor too much sugar are taken.

15. (Q) Is the Simmons Laxative which I took, the same as Simmons Liver Regulator recommended in reading [369-11 on 8/4/34]? (A) Not exactly the same; this was made to take the place of the Liver Regulator and to meet some requirements that were necessary. Where this is given for anyone, the better

369-12 Page 3

preparation would be to make it out of the Ragweed, which is the basis of same - either the green (but dry same) or the dry, which may be preserved or bought in bulk, and made in the form of a tea - in this manner (this isn't for this body in the present - may be necessary later; but we have given those things necessary for this particular body in the present), and in this proportion: To 8 ounces distilled water add 3 drams dried Ragweed. Reduce to 6 ounces, or reduce to the quantity then it is necessary to add even more water to make 6 ounces. Then add a preservative, which would be 1 ounce of grain alcohol. And you have better than Simmons Liver Regulator for activity on the liver! This for anyone! This is the BEST of the vegetable compounds for activities of the liver. Of course, if made commercially we would add some few other things to it. [See 562-1 on 5/29/34.] [5/11/39 See 1880-1 not recommending Simmons, but Ragweed. See also 1880-1 Reports in re Simmons and Ragweed or Ambrosia. Some years later the Simmons Liver Regulator went off the market, but not during Edgar Cayce's lifetime.]

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) Please prescribe a course of treatment for my nerves. (A) We HAVE! This tonic, and the massage. Take the massage at least twice or three times a week. Be active in the out-of-doors; walking, MEETING others, doing something definite with the hands - and your feet, too! This doesn't necessarily mean riding a bicycle, though that would be a very good part of it. But the greater activities would be as much out-of-doors as possible.

18. (Q) Is the physical condition such that it would be well to resume the music? (A) After about the sixth day of taking the tonic, then you can resume - because you'll feel different about it!

19. (Q) Please tell me the exact time of my physical birth. (A) Three fifty-eight A.M.

20. (Q) Are astrological influences more favorable for me now? (A) We would have a comparison, if we would say more favorable! As we find, the astrological influences for this body - [Mumbling over planets - Venus, etc. - ] - after the fifteenth of October will be more favorable.

21. That is all the questions.

22. We are through with this reading.
