1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

2. Now as we find, while there is not the desire to point out the pessimistic outlook, the conditions as we find unless they are guarded against must eventually - and that in not a great distant future - present some very disturbing and aggravating and hard conditions to deal with.

3. For many of the portions of the system are weakening under the strain that is being produced.

4. However, if there is the adherence to those things as we find would be helpful, the conditions may be averted and there may be quite a number of years of active service and real opportunities through this present experience.

5. These conditions then, as we find, exist mainly as the basic forces:

6. A lesion in the cerebrospinal system, and contributory causes that arise in functioning of organs. But many of the organs have become very much weakened under the stress and the conditions that have existed, and do exist. However, there are days and periods when with the general mental attitude, exaltations bring about a recuperative activity. Yet there are many days and periods when the body in the sluggishness of the circulation, in the pressure as produced upon the heart's activity, in the poor eliminations as through a torpidity of the liver and an activity that is lacking in its cleansing through the alimentary canal - thus producing toxic forces again that only aggravate the general conditions, through those gradual accumulations that make for a pressure in the glands about the scrotum and the conditions that produce an irritation and a pressure upon the bladder itself, and the softening of tissue or accumulations about the kidneys themselves [Nephritis?] - cannot have a very optimistic outlook for general conditions; unless some decided changes are brought about in the physical forces of the body.

7. Those activities in the nerve forces then, as we find, or the lesions in same, exist mainly in the coccyx, the lumbar and the 3rd and 4th dorsal. These arise from first an injury to the end of the spine some years ago, then an injury or a hurt as combined with same when the body suffered from what was called at the time lumbago or stiffening through the small of the back and the lower portion of the kidney area, indigestion. All arose from those conditions.

8. Then these affected the system as has been indicated.

9. As we would find, in making applications, all of the conditions must be taken into consideration.

10. Hence while applications in one direction may be made for causes, in this particular case not only the causes but the effects upon organs must be taken into consideration. And what will be an application to aid in some respects will in part apparently at times work hardships upon other portions of the system.

11. There must be, then, alterations or changes from time to time; that there may be eliminated the causes, the effects along together. Thus we may build the normalcy back for this body, if there is the persistence and consistence in the activities, the application and the attitudes of the body towards a CONSTRUCTIVE influence throughout its bodily functioning itself, as well as its applications to those things that may make for helpful influences.

12. Then, in the beginning, we would begin as with this:

13. First we would, at least every other day, for at least two or three weeks, whether there is an elimination through the alimentary canal or not, in the evening before retiring CLEANSE the alimentary canal with enemas. Not too high, not too severe, not too great a quantity of water; whether there is the movement so much of the bowels or not, though this would be preferable. But do not take such quantities of water, or have it so warm as to produce a stress or strain upon the system. Use the Fountain Syringe as a means, rather than colonics, or elevators or the like. But in each quart and a half of water (and use about that much each time) put a heaping teaspoonful of salt and a level teaspoonful of ordinary baking soda. Dissolve this thoroughly, and then use as a part of the enema to be sure. This in the water, see?

14. After this has been used and evacuated, then put another quart of water and to this put a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline. We would have the water (for both of these) the temperature of the body, or about ninety-eight - ninety-seven or ninety-eight, see?

15. And after this has been used, then have massaged into the small of the back and through those areas just between the shoulders and a little bit below same, equal portions of Olive Oil, Tincture of Myrrh and Tincture of Benzoin. Heat the Oil to add the Myrrh and the Benzoin.

16. After this is massaged into same for twenty to thirty minutes, apply HEAT - as from an electric pad, or from the hot water bottles or the like. The Pad is preferable, as for this the dry heat is more necessary than a wet heat; for the application is not only to effect the carrying of the properties indicated into the muscular forces and to the organs and the activities of the plexus in those areas but to relax the system thoroughly.

17. After this has been kept up for at least two to three weeks, then gradually leave these off. But keep up the colonics, you see.

18. And begin with adjustments to be made in the lumbar, the coccyx and - of course - throughout the upper dorsal and the cervical area.

19. In the matter of the diet, this should be watched carefully. DO NOT eat THESE:

20. No fried foods at ANY time. Preferably always white breads are to be eliminated as much as possible. Meats or red meats should be eliminated.

21. Fish, fowl or lamb may be taken, but NOT fried. Broiled, boiled, stewed or the like.

22. In the vegetables, do not eat potatoes and other starches - as rice or spaghetti - at the same meal.

23. Do not eat cereals and citrus fruit juices at the same meal.

24. Do this and then after sixty to ninety days we would give further instructions.

25. The adjustments osteopathically or neuropathically should be made about twice each week, for periods of two to three weeks. Do not begin these until after the other applications and then a rest of a week from the treatments, and then begin again.

26. Ready for questions.
