Time of Reading 11:50 to 12:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [372] this we have had before.

2. Now, as we find, there are many changes even since last we had the body here. These are not so good, in the general conditions. There is the tendency for many of the organs in their functioning to be lax, or slack in performing their proper functioning; and a tendency for there to come tautnesses in certain portions of the circulation, both as to the blood supply and nerve impulses from the ganglia. Through the functioning of the organs do these, then, produce the distress.

3. These make for the tendencies, though a change at times may be indicated by the very nature of the disturbances. For, the physical grows very weary at times, and at others we find a more hopefulness in the expression through the nerve impulses and the effect that is produced; making then for the slowing of the heart's action, a numbness in portions of the system at times, a tendency for an irrational reaction in the reacting of the expressions of activity to the sensory system, and a coldness to the outer portions of the body, circulation disturbed in the extremities.

4. And in these reactions, as we find, it is necessary that for the better conditions there be created more rejuvenations in the ganglia throughout the system, and a stimuli to the nerves' reactions throughout the body, as well as revivifying in the circulation necessary elements for resuscitating the activity of the glands of the body.

5. We would, in and under the present conditions of this body, [372] we are speaking of, have the deep therapy in manipulations and the deep therapy in the electrical vibrations to react upon all the ganglia of the body.

6. Following the electrical treatments, we would massage along the cerebrospinal system equal parts of olive oil and

372-8 Page 2

tincture of myrrh, heating the oil to add the myrrh. Massage all that the cerebrospinal system will absorb.

7. And with these reactions let the diet be that easily assimilated by the system, to give strength and resistance as much as possible to the whole vital forces of the body. Use as much beef juice as the body will assimilate. Add sufficient spirits frumenti with milk or egg drinks to make for better digestion and assimilation of all things taken.

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) What kind of electrical treatments should be given? (A) Deep therapy.

10. (Q) Please explain, as we do not understand regarding the electrical treatments that should be given. (A) There are deep therapy machines which add to the system activities to the vibrations of the nerve system, which are electrical vibrations directly to the body.

11. (Q) On what part of the body should they be applied? (A) To the locomotaries of the body. Lumbar plexus, and brachial plexus particularly.

12. (Q) Who can or should they get to apply these treatments? (A) Anyone who has a deep therapy machine.

13. (Q) Could these treatments be given at home, or will the body have to be taken to the doctor? (A) They may be given in a form at home; but it would be better, of course, for the body to be taken where the machine is, for it is rather large, you see.

14. (Q) How often should they be given? (A) At least twice each week.

15. (Q) How often should the manipulations or massage be given? (A) Three times each week.

16. (Q) How often should the olive oil and tincture of myrrh be applied? (A) As indicated, the massage of these properties into the spine should be applied particularly soon after the use of the deep therapy machine. For, while there is the activity of the electrical forces in the body, the ganglia along the spine will respond to the necessary forces for absorption better than when there is less electrical force in the body, see? Hence, these massages would be given in this manner, for the activity of such would be as this: The oil, as it were, is to relax the tendencies for contraction through impulses that are lacking, as indicated, or that are excessive (for both occur), in the ganglia of the cerebrospinal system. The myrrh, as an activative force with the oil, acts as a healing influence to the tendency of inflammation or drying

372-8 Page 3

of the texture or tendril effect of muscular activities of the system.

17. (Q) How can he gain more strength? (A) By the use of those properties indicated, by better assimilation, and with the use of that easily assimilated to the digestive system; which may be found in the use of beef juices to add strength to the body, through this assimilation, see?

18. (Q) How can he be helped to retain food? (A) By the use of these properties and applications there is brought to bear on the general system that which will enable the body to assimilate that taken into the system, rather than there being the repulsion or rebellion of the system to act with the activities of the body in a normal manner.

19. (Q) What can be done to help eliminations? (A) By the stimulation of the system in the manner as indicated there is the tendency to make for better circulation in the lymph and the emunctories throughout the intestinal tract. Hence these will make for the general tendencies to prevent the absorption of the muco-membrane activity through the general system. It will be necessary, as indicated, that at times there be used eliminants or enemas, that the fecal forces may be carried from the system; or the feces, see? but the general tendency from the applications suggested is to create a better movement throughout the emunctory and lymph circulation, which IS the activity that makes for the peristaltic movements throughout the intestinal system. Of course, with the enemas, there should be used the oil, or the agar, with the Glyco-Thymoline as an antiseptic, which tends to make a relaxing of the colon without the deteriorating forces acting or setting up! But the general conditions in the present arise from deteriorating of the activities in the system, as to set up mortified activity in the system.

20. (Q) What is causing swelling of leg and what should be done to relieve severe pain and reduce swelling? [Phlebitis?] (A) The inability of the circulation to be any way near normal tends to make the veins not to carry away that the venous circulation throws into the body from the external circulation, see? or from the internal to the external. Hence there is produced swelling, in the same way and manner as if a portion of the extremity were corded, see?

372-8 Page 4

With the applications of the properties indicated, this should be materially aided; as also with the rubbing or massaging of the cerebrospinal system along those portions that make for the activities of the circulation both venous and arterial.

21. (Q) How can buzzing in the ears be eased and what is causing this? (A) As we have indicated heretofore through these sources, the auditory activities of a body are the most sensitive and most aware of that taking place within a physical organism. With those tendencies in the body for the muco-membrane and lymph activity, to which the sensory system becomes the more sensitive by those pressures on the ganglia that control such specific activity, these become more acute. Hence, there is the tendency for producing plethora in portions of the circulation and in the ganglia that direct particularly the locomotaries of the system; and the auditory forces are particularly in accordance with - or lateral with - the brachial activities of the body. Thus there is produced the pressure that gives the distress to this particular portion of the body. With the addition of the electrical forces, which for the first time or two will tend to increase or make a tingling sensation and increase the noises, but with the massage and the deep therapy of the osteopathic manipulation, the deep therapy of the electrical vibration, by the second treatment this should almost wholly disappear.

22. (Q) What is the medical term for the condition? (A) Cirrhosis.

23. (Q) Is it curable? (A) If taken in time it may be eliminated or eradicated from the system. This is quite severe, and has reached rather an advanced stage. And, as we find, it may be materially aided and - possibly - eradicated.

24. (Q) What should be done to regain lost weight? (A) Until there can be more assimilation of that which is building to the body, the weight will tend to gradually decrease.

25. (Q) What causes pains in stomach, and how can they be eased? (A) A tendency for a regurgitation of the membranes and emunctory activity of the gastric forces in the duodenum,

372-8 Page 5

and for the condition in the liver - from the hardening of same - to make for poor activity. In eliminating and relieving same with the massage and with the vibrations to these various centers, these should gradually disappear. As soon as there can be arrived at that point where there is something for the gastric forces of the duodenum and stomach proper to work upon, rather than the emunctories and activities of the system itself! For the greater distress, locally, is that - without the food values - the gastric juices are produced, and begin to digest themselves! [See 372-8, Par. R1.]

26. (Q) Are the doctors treating body properly? (A) Partially so; partially not so. Those that would be the nearer in accord with that we have given. While it is necessary at times to administer that which eases the body, from and through the influence of hypnotics, these are not curatives - they are only palliatives for the second, and yet take from the system that which is NECESSARY for the revivifying and resustenance for the whole body!

27. (Q) Did the X-ray pictures taken for him tell the true condition? (A) In part.

28. (Q) Are the doctors correct in their diagnosis? (A) As given, these vary from that we have outlined. These conditions are in the early stages of such conditions. [Cancer - See 372-8, Par. R1.] Hence, they are not correct in their diagnosis - AS YET; though, if the condition is allowed to continue, then it must become what the doctors have given!

29. (Q) Would an operation be of any help to this body? (A) It wouldn't stand it! There's not sufficient physical resistance; neither is there sufficient of the hormones in the blood supply to produce proper coagulation. Also, unless there is considerable change, the anaesthesias that might be applied would be too heavy or too subduing to the heart.

30. (Q) Are any other foods suggested besides the eggnogs and beef juices? (A) With milk, of course, and anything that is easily assimilated and that is BLOOD BUILDING.

31. (Q) Should any solid foods be given? (A) Not until the body is able to assimilate better.

32. (Q) Is there any medication he could take before the foods to help him retain them? (A) Small quantities of limewater, cinnamon water, with

372-8 Page 6

Bromide of Potassium, would be preferable; in this proportion: In a half glass of water, fifteen to twenty minutes before the meal is taken, put a teaspoonful of limewater, a teaspoonful of cinnamon water, with three to five drops of 10% solution Bromide of Potassium. It's necessary, or better, to keep these separate until ready to use.

33. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) It will require persistence, patience, to combat these influences, yet - if we will follow these suggestions, as we find resuscitation may come to the body.

34. We are through for the present. Copy to Mrs. [327] " " Mr. [417] " " File (DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING PURE BEEF JUICE Put small chunks raw beef in covered fruit jar (all lean pieces, no fat). Put jar inside pan of water (water coming to about half the depth of jar). Boil until chunks of beef are thoroughly done. Strain. Keep juice in cool place. Give full strength, or diluted, as often as the body will assimilate it, and as much as the body will assimilate.)
