Time of Reading ... Avenue, 5:15 to 5:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York. (Mental and spiritual guidance that may be helpful in the business crisis in connection with Louis Dejonge & Co., of N.Y., that he is passing through now. You will answer questions.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the enquiring mind, [378], present in this room; this we have had before.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Would it be advisable to consider the purchase of enough Louis Dejonge & Co. preferred stock NOW to get control of the company? (A) In considering these conditions from the mental angle, there are many conditions in the material affairs of individuals as associated and connected with the organization to be considered. Yet, when the whole situation that exists is considered, and with the outlook that is apparent and that must show for the activities that are to come, as we find, and as we would give, it would be well to consider that purchase of sufficient stock to control.
4. (Q) When should this be done? (A) Naturally, it must require being done without a great deal of show or unkindly activities in any directions, but would be gradually gotten together; as we find, this would be the better way and manner. And the sooner this is quietly begun the better it would be.
5. (Q) Please explain the conditions just referred to, which would make this advisable. (A) Some animosities among some of the directors in the organization.
6. (Q) Can and will Mr. August Ulrich, now living at 115 Marion Ave., Stapleton, S.I., be helpful in advising me in regard to the purchase of the Louis Dejonge & Co. preferred stock? (A) As we have inferred from that given, he could - and he would - advise respecting such purchase. And, best of all,

he can be relied upon!
7. (Q) Are there any special instructions as regards the correct approach to make such a deal possible? (A) As we find, the associations and connections have been such that the approach would be much in the same way and manner as the associations and connections have warranted, and do warrant in the situations at this time. Hence would not be any special, other than that coming from the general associations that have existed.
8. (Q) As given me in a recent reading [254-70, Par. 13-A], the research field of endeavor in relation to the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc. activities should be stressed in my endeavors. Please explain just what was meant by this, and tell me how to proceed. (A) As may be easily gathered from the information direct, and that also inferred from the developments of the entity through its varied experiences in material manifestations, there have been those activities through such periods that have particularly and specifically made for that turn of mind of the entity in the present experience, of being analytical and investigative and researchitive in its activities in whatever endeavor in which the body-mind has engaged its attention. This would be seen to apply whether in play, in mental activity, in daily toil, or in mental research. Hence, in the associations in such an organization there is ever the need that those developments in the fields of research be in an analytical way and manner, that the findings of such research may be presented in an ethical manner and in keeping with that which may be enlightening to those that would seek through such channels for those things, those experiences, that would answer the questions of many natures or characters that may arise in the experience of individuals seeking through such channels. Hence, as a judge, as an interpreter, as a director in the character, the kind of research that would be necessary for such an organization to maintain is of not only particular interest (or should be) to the entity, but the entity is qualified to act in the capacity as one that would urge this form of activity be maintained to the highest degree possible (all conditions to be considered). That will allow the activities of such to proceed, that the greater service may be rendered to those that seek through such channels. For, as has been given, the organization - or Association for Research & Enlightenment - HAS a place; not just the

presenting of the thought or ideas of an individual, or a group; but that such thoughts, such ideas, such ideals, have proven, do prove, to be of value in the experiences of individuals, mentally, spiritually, physically, makes for as activity worth while. And, as is the policy of the entity, that efficiency in the direction be maintained. Hence that gives.
9. (Q) In relation to Louis Dejonge & Co., will Mr. Ulrich and his associates furnish me with the necessary capital to purchase the stock? (A) If this is done in a quiet, easy, gentle manner, yes. If it is made as an activity to counteract animosity or grudge, hardly. Hence, as gives, the associations have been such that the approach to this THROUGH Mr. Ulrich is such that it may be carried on in a satisfactory way and manner.
10. (Q) Please give the suggestion for the reading to be given at the Zentgraf home tomorrow afternoon, Sat., Nov. 4th, on the German political situation [3976-13]. (A) YOU WILL HAVE BEFORE YOU THE POLITICAL SITUATION THAT EXISTS IN GERMANY PROPER TODAY, ANALYZING THE POLICIES OF THE PRESENT RULER, AND GIVE THAT WHICH WILL BE HELPFUL AND INSTRUCTIVE TO THOSE PRESENT, ANSWERING QUESTIONS.
11. (Q) You will give such other mental and spiritual advice and counsel which may be helpful to [378] at this time. (A) As we have given, and as is understood by the body-mind, there needs be that activity in self in such a quiet, gentle manner as to keep control of self's emotions, that the activities of the mind mentally, of the body consciousness as to its relationships to others, be not hampered in these periods of stress and strain. When doubts and fears arise in the minds of others, THEN does it behoove those that know HIS ways to keep, as it were, THEIR heads level in the activities; knowing that he that is right, he that is convinced in self that the influences that guide, guard and direct the associations are in keeping of Him who faileth not. And the troubled waters will be dispersed, and that contenment, that peace that cometh from walking oft with Him will be thine lot, thine understanding!
12. We are through.
