Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ala. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions that disturb the better equilibrium of the physical forces of this body, [388].

2. As we find, there are some specific conditions that disturb the body. These are in the main the effects of a specific condition that rarely is considered in ministering to the better physical forces of the body.

3. There are, as we find, effects both of that which is produced and that which is producing the disturbances of the body.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [388] we are speaking of:

5. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, this shows disturbances from the eliminations that are disturbing the body, and from the character of the disturbance the blood more often shows a bacilli that is of the malarial variety.

6. Hence, there are periods when the body even in its activities is under the stress of a low or slow fever.

7. From this character of disorder the liver, the pancreas and spleen are involved. But, as we have indicated, these conditions - with the disturbance in the functioning organs - are rather a result than the main or primary cause.

8. The pulsation is somewhat above normal; at other periods below normal. The metabolism of the system necessarily, or would follow, is disturbed.

9. There are indications also, from these effects, of a form of anemia; or the red blood cells are below normal in their count. The system's attempting to adjust itself, or to meet the conditions, creates an abnormal number in the leukocyte and the white blood cells.

10. The inertia, the tired feeling, the heaviness in the lower limbs, the tendency at times to feel a low or slow throbbing, are effects of the circulation.

11. Hence they are a compilation or combination of

388-1 Page 2

conditions, that disturb the whole of the system.

12. The NERVOUS FORCES of the body are more often over relaxed. Hence other effects, or a contributory cause to: The languid feeling, the dull headaches, the blurry conditions in the eyes, the little nausea that disturbs at times, the inability of the body to digest properly; these arise the more often from the low tension - or the inability of assimilation comes from this relaxed condition in the system. Yet, the SYMPATHETIC nerve system is at rather a high tension. Hence the ability of the body to at times drive self to carry on under the stress and strain of the disturbed forces of the body.

13. The ORGANS, naturally, suffer from these varied conditions.

14. The bases, or the first causes, as we find, are from those conditions that have existed in the colon for some time. There is a condition of plethora in the lower portion of transverse colon, and of the descending colon. Hence at times, when these are the more severe - and there is the less peristaltic movement of the intestinal system, there is the feeling or pressure around the heart; though no organic heart disturbance, purely a reflex functional one.

15. With the low vitality and the temperature of the body, often- times there is felt a heaviness in the respiratory system or the lungs, for the lack of oxygen and of the abilities through the pressures and the low blood supply (of a vital nature) to supply the energies; little re-vitalization can take place at times in the regular breathing.

16. Hence ALL of these conditions make for a low vitality and a disturbance in almost ALL the organs.

17. While the kidneys are involved through these distresses, there is shown little other than a reflex action. While the specific gravity of the urine and the activities of the bladder are abnormal, this is more of the circulation attempting to adjust the equilibrium through the hepatic circulation than of other than functional disturbance. Though, to be sure, with a long period of the character of distress, these - too - must eventually break down. For, the adrenal glands show for a weakening of the functionings of the kidneys as related to their eliminations of poisons; not being so great under the present conditions.

18. Then, in meeting the needs for the body in the present, as we find, the general conditions, the general and necessary activities of the body to maintain its own associations and relations, must be taken into consideration. While under these strains, or these partial

388-1 Page 3

applications that must be extended over a greater period of time, slower will be the recuperative and the resuscitating forces of the body, they will be as sure; provided there is the consistent and persistent activities necessary for relief of the body!

19. First, we would begin with the use of high enemas to relieve the distress in the colon and the pressure that is produced there. These we would take for the first four weeks at least two each week; preferably, say, Tuesdays and Fridays.

20. After the second enema is taken, begin with capsules prepared or compounded in this manner and take three at each period, letting one day elapse between each capsule, see? This proportion would be in each capsule: Podophyllum..................1/4 grain, Leptandrin...................1/2 grain, Sanguinaria..................1/2 grain, Senna........................1/4 grain.

21. After the third dose is taken, rest another day and then begin with Fletcher's Castoria - taking a whole bottle (or 900 drops), half a teaspoonful every hour.

22. Be mindful at all times regarding the diet. Do not overeat of meats, and never any hog meats of ANY kind or character. Preferably a vegetable diet. Occasionally meats may be taken in moderation, especially of mutton or fowl. Do not eat ANY fried meats; these should preferably be roasted or broiled. A quantity should always be taken each day of GREEN vegetables; as lettuce, celery, spinach (raw), tomatoes and the like, carrots, and a salad made of these may include a dressing - if so desired.

23. In the treatments of the eliminations:

24. After the first course has been taken of Podophyllum, Leptandrin, Sanguinaria and Senna compound, we would begin with the violet ray treatments taken every other evening before retiring directly on the spine; this to stimulate the superficial circulation, especially, and revitalize, giving more activity to the whole of the respiratory system. The treatments should be for at least fifteen to twenty minutes.

25. We would, after the second week, reenact, as it were, all those given as eliminants. Be persistent, be consistent, and we will bring better conditions for this body, [388]. Ready for questions.

26. (Q) Is an operation necessary? (A) Not if the conditions given here are followed for the removal of the pressures, for we will set up absorption in such a manner as to relieve these pressures - both in the

388-1 Page 4

glands that cause distress through activities of the kidneys and bladder, through the absorption of poisons, as well as the muco-membranes of the head and throat.

27. We are through for the present. Copy to Mrs. [979] " " File
