R E A D I N G

At home on Va. Time of Reading Beach Blvd., near 11:05 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. Oceana, Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - beyond Oceana - [389]; we have the body here; this we have had before.

3. Conditions are not so good.

4. As we find, the disturbances in the present are such that the administration of that which may aid in relieving the tension in the pressure on heart and circulation is working against the assimilation and eliminations; and these are warring, rather, one with another.

5. Keep the body quiet, and do keep those administrations being made for the circulation.

6. As soon as there is quietness, and the body is bettered, a gentle massage osteopathically given will be beneficial. For, the natural inclination for such great stimulants to the circulation is to tie-up the centers along the spine, the relieving of which would relieve this tension.

7. The colonic irrigations would then be helpful, and yet such would be rather doubtful in the present - but there must be kept daily eliminations; else we will find a filling of the heart to such an extent as to flood the whole of the circulation.

8. Keep the body quiet, and yet it needs the open air when practical.

9. Ready for questions.

10. (Q) What should be done to keep the eliminations daily? (A) An enema is necessary, but these must be kept. Or there may be administered a laxative, but this should be under the direction of the one administering the stimulations to circulation.

11. (Q) To what extent could he use alcohol? (A) Don't use alcohol - only as a rub!

12. (Q) What should be done for the cough?

389-11 Page 2

(A) This is a part of the trouble, for it is drawing the blood from the lungs. This is not from cold, but the flowing of the blood too quickly from lungs to heart and liver.

13. (Q) What causes and what should be done to remove pain in right side? (A) This is an area that is produced in the lung by a congestion, not by cold but by lack of blood going through or flowing through same. That's why a massage would be beneficial, if gently given.

14. (Q) How often should they be given? (A) About every other day, until the body is much quieter - if it responds, and there is not recurrence of this filling of the heart without its getting away from same.

15. (Q) Please outline to what extent he can work in the garden, and other activities around the house? (A) Can't do anything like these at present! but it will depend upon the abilities of the body to respond to those administrations, and the establishing of a better coordination between the heart, the lungs, the liver and kidneys. It'll be some time yet before he can work ANYWHERE, though he should be out in the open, see!

16. (Q) Any further precautions? (A) These things we will have to watch, and be mindful of the eliminations. And DO have the osteopathic massage, very gently given. Don't attempt to make corrections - just to stimulate the better coordination by relaxation of heart, liver, lungs, kidneys, see?

17. (Q) What about diet? (A) Don't eat too much, and don't eat sweets nor meats!

18. We are through for the present. Two copies to son [416] (one for Dr. Richardson) [M. L. Copy to Ass'n file Richardson D.O.]
