1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [391]. Now, as we find, while the body is very good in many respects, there are those conditions which if corrected before they have BECOME such as to deter the correction would make for a better functioning THROUGHOUT the body, and relieve the body of much of distresses that arise at times.
2. In the functioning of organs do we find the disorders. These are rather of a specific nature, but have not reached the proportions as yet to be other than functional in its nature.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [391] we are speaking of:
4. We find the blood condition indicates the source or the seat of the trouble, as does the heart's action, and the effects that are produced in the extremities both as to the feet and as to the head, and the COLOR as indicated in face at times.
5. This condition, as we find then, is of the nature of disturbances in the functioning of the liver itself, specifically; causing, then, those distresses across the back, more ALONG the line of the diaphragm than the SMALL of the back - though, to be sure, at times this extends into the kidney area, but is rather a REFLEX than a cause of the condition. This affects at times the gall duct, and the digestive forces - of the pancrean fluids action upon the system, making that heaviness in the blood stream that makes it easy for the body to take cold, often bad tastes in the mouth, tiredness as the body arises after rest - when it should be perfectly rested; dull headaches at times, with pains through the eyes, tendency for accumulation on the lip - as from the activity of the muco-membranes of the mouth, and on portions of the body the tendency for irritation or scaly appearance to come.
391-2 Page 2
6. In the effect created in the lower extremities, these pressures produce a weakness that affects those of the locomotaries. Hence makes in portion of the feet those tendencies of drawing under, that makes as of a laxness when acted upon by activities of the body, as a character of fallen arch - though it is the frontal rather than the central arch, and comes rather from the burses in the toe area than from those in the Achilles heel area, or burses of the heel, though THESE give distress at times.
7. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions:
8. With the activities, and the activities of the body that are taken regularly as exercise, this may be taken and the exercise (taken in moderation and not too strenuous) and not cause any discomfort to the body. Prepare as this, and take as outlined:
9. To 1 gallon of distilled water, add: Yellow Dock Root..............1 ounce, Burdock Root..................1 ounce, Wild Cherry Bark..............2 ounces, Dogwood Bark................1/2 ounce, Prickly Ash Bark............1/2 ounce, Elder Flower..................2 ounces. Reduce this by simmering, or slow boiling, to 1 quart. Then add 3 ounces grain Alcohol, with 2 drams Balsam of Tolu cut in same.
10. Shake the dose together (shake the dose before it is taken, not self), and the dose would be teaspoonful 4 times each day.
11. After the dose is taken, or after the meal is taken (would be well and best to take the dosage AFTER meals, see?) then we would - to keep the eliminations - after this has been begun - take those of high enemas, at least once a week until 4 or 5 are taken.
12. The diets through this period should be preferably as this:
13. Mornings - 1 to 2 oranges, or a whole grapefruit, or an orange and a lemon.
14. In the middle of the morning take a milk chocolate, or a DRIED milk with an egg beat in it - but don't include the white of the egg! may put 2 yolks of the egg in the milk, see? preferably chocolate to that of other flavors, for this will digest better with the system.
15. Noon - (don't take any other things at the same time, or meats at this time) - take those preferably of the meat JUICES, and either GREEN vegetables or well cooked
391-2 Page 3
vegetables that are of the green variety. No potatoes of any kind at this meal.
16. In the evening [afternoon] again we would take (and 3:00 o'clock, or thereabout, see?) 1 Coca Cola, bottled! and with same there may be taken any of those that will give added zest to the appetite, but not of sweets, see? no cakes or tarts, nor ice cream even, at this period.
17. In the evenings let the diet be that as of the whole vegetable meal, with LITTLE meat - and if meat is taken, that of lamb, or fish or chicken. No hog meat; little or no beef - unless it is roast beef - none that's fried!
18. For the limbs, we would MASSAGE same thoroughly - as we SHOULD take a GENERAL massage 2 or 3 times a week, other than that as taken in the regular work-out; but in MASSAGING the feet use THIS - as put together to massage into the feet, the soles of the feet, and the ankles:
19. To 1/2 pint of Russian White Oil, add: Witch-hazel...................1 ounce, Rub alcohol...................2 ounces, Arnica........................1 ounce, Tincture of Myrrh...........1/2 ounce. Shake this together and massage just sufficient as to what the body, or the pores of the skin, absorbs.
20. When exercising a great deal, it would be well to use those of Tiz, or some easy foot powder that is composed principally of talc and that of tolu, or it may include - better still - chalk, sterate of zinc, and tolu. Any of these would be well to be sprinkled in the shoes before stiff exercise.
21. Ready for questions.
22. (Q) How can I get rid of, and prevent taking, cold? (A) Get rid of the cause, as has been outlined!
23. (Q) Is there anything wrong with my heart? (A) Pressure, as produced in the diaphragm area.
24. (Q) Will I be able to play baseball? (A) Play pretty good baseball!
25. (Q) Is there any further advice for this body? (A) We would follow these rather strictly, as has been outlined, until the whole quantity of the medicine as made up has been taken - and we will find a different body entirely.
