1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - this we have had before.

2. Now, as we find, with the changes in altitude, in activity and environment, and especially with the character of the water change, there are those reactions that might be expected; especially with those activities of the eliminating system as related to the activity of the ducts and glands of the eliminating system, particularly the liver, spleen, and the lower hepatic circulation.

3. These are not other than reactions in the present, and those periods that there is felt rather a dull headache, pains through the left side and across the upper portion of the hips, are but the attempts of the system to adjust itself to these changes.

4. We would then in the present, to meet these, use those activities for ASSISTING the system to adjust itself to the new surroundings. Prepare first as this - and do not take more than two doses; letting at least one day be between the doses - this as a dose, which may be taken in a capsule or made into a pellet: Podophyllin..................1/4 grain, Leptandrin...................1/2 grain, Senna........................1/2 grain, Syrup of Rhubarb...............1 minim. Take this either in a capsule or pellet. Rest one day, and then take another the next evening, see?

5. Drink plenty of water during the time these are being taken!

6. This will produce some nausea, but the ASSIMILATING of these small quantities of purgatives, of activities for various portions of the system, will make for the creating

of the proper activity.

7. Then, when these have purged the system somewhat, we would take begin again and take in alternated doses:

8. One day a teaspoonful Milk of Bismuth.

9. The next day (or night preferable for all of these) take a tablespoonful Milk of Magnesia.

10. The next night take half a wafer of Phenolax.

11. Be mindful of the diet, that there is a well-balanced diet consisting rather in this line:

12. Mornings - either stewed fruits (rhubarb, figs or the like) or citrus fruit juices, but do not take both at the same meal. To this may be added coddled egg, or soft-boiled egg, with a little crisp bacon and a little coffee (but no cream in it!).

13. Noons - juices of vegetables, as vegetable soups, or stews, or meat stews, but not that which has a great deal of fat in it. This may be topped with any of the dried breads, or with any of the whole wheat breads.

14. Evenings - the full vegetable meal, with little meats; but with plenty of the green vegetables, especially of the leafy variety; beans, lentils, cabbage, peas, carrots, salsify, all of these are well, and as MUCH of the boiled onions that may be well assimilated.

15. For that tendency at times in evenings for the little disturbance or irritation in the throat, which arises from the gastric juices of the stomach, especially when the body retires, we will find that if there will be taken the juice pressed from half-boiled onions, or the syrup from same, with a little sugar - or preferably honey or saccharin, this will allay the condition even if only a few drops are taken at a time.

16. Do that. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) What can I do to keep my throat from clogging up every morning, when I don't have a cold? (A) We have just given it! We got ahead of you!

18. (Q) What is wrong with my teeth and gums, and what can be done to cure them? (A) Balance the diet in the way and manner as to keep plenty of salts in the system, from the vegetable forces that we have outlined, and it will be much better for the body. We would also use the Ipsab as a stimulator for the muco-membranes, for the gums and around the same.

19. (Q) What is the condition of my stomach? (A) As indicated, this has been upset from the inactivity of the liver, the overactivity of the pancreas and spleen in

391-4 Page 3

supplying those forces that make for the digestive system; hence the tendency for feeling full, and the pain across the diaphragm area.

20. (Q) Am I on the verge of appendicitis? (A) May give it to self, if you produce irritation or keep the activities of the system in such a low state as to allow inflammation to arise! No; not if you keep the system cleansed!

21. (Q) Does smoking harm me enough to cause me to stop; affect my heart, etc? (A) Smoking in moderation is well for the body; smoking in excess is bad!

22. (Q) Will I be in good enough shape to play football this season? (A) Season's too near over to get in position for it, as yet! As for the basketball season, be very good!

23. (Q) What change has come into my spiritual life or character? (A) This, as we find, is ready for an awakening. Seek, then, to know self, to know self's relationships to the Creative Forces that may be MANIFEST in the activities of the mental and the spiritual life! KNOW that the Creative Energy called God may be as personal as an individual will allow same to be; for the Spirit is in the image of the Creative Forces and seeks manifestation. It may take that personality, that will be allowed by the individual itself; for we are co-laborers, co-creators with that Energy we call God, that Energy we call Universal Forces. While this may appear to be the Whole, if we will understand that "The Lord thy God is ONE" and all power, all force emanates from that One Source, we will get an understanding of ourselves and our abilities. KNOW SELF! Be TRUE to SELF, and ye will not be false to anyone!
