Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [391], present in this room, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his material affairs and mental well-being. You will answer the questions which he submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [391]. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) Regarding my investment in the proposition connected with Glen Allen Hotel, about ten miles out of Richmond, Va., what are the possibilities of my making any money - or getting back what I put into it? (A) The possibilities here, as we find, are very good. To be sure, much depends upon the policies that are put into operations by those active. In the present, while conditions are in the formation, as it were, there are SOME that are questioned as to what their purposes and intents are. If the body will keep close in touch with the operations, by the first of October we would ask and we would insist on the return; and the return should be - at that time - as near in accord with that which has been promised as is hardly, or possibly, probable. Later than that, beware!
4. (Q) Can I depend on James Fox [James A. Fox] to keep his promise or agreement? (A) Were the whole policies set by Fox it would be far better. There are some associations and connections that are not so well. Hence, by that time or period, WE would find that there should be an insisting upon accounting of what has been accomplished that far.
5. (Q) Who, or what are the associations that are not right? (A) There are some others that are connected with same.
6. (Q) What should Fox do in regard to these associations? (A) See that all of the activities about the place are kept
391-6 Page 2
more closely in accord with the purposes and aims that WERE determined by Fox in the starting of the resort, or place.
7. (Q) Which one of the following associations should be eliminated? Ferguson, Anthony and Hunt. (A) Watch Anthony?
8. (Q) Are the other two alright? (A) More reliable than Anthony. [See 391-6, Par. R1.]
9. (Q) Would it be advisable to accept the position offered me there this winter, if the club is a success? (A) When there is the asking for the accounting of that which has been accomplished, at the beginning of the fall season - or October, see, it would then be well to look INTO the situation; that is, analyzing the records that have been kept to that time, and demand that there be made an accounting to the body. For, it's nothing more than right under the circumstances! It would be well to consider such a position, provided there has not been - through some of the activities of others - those things that would make it unreliable, or not in line with the policies of the body [391], see?
10. (Q) If the club fails, (or if I do not accept that position) would it be most advisable for me to go to Florida or to ... [Ala.] or to stay in ... [Va.]? (A) As we would find, either Florida or ... [Ala.].
11. (Q) What line of business would it be best to follow in Florida or [Ala.]? (A) There are associations and connections in [Ala.] that may be made most satisfactory; while in Florida, as we find, connections may be made with some character of amusement organization or association. It would be well in Florida to CONSIDER those associations that may be had in an amusement house; or it may be well to consider an association that might be made in Hollywood or in Lochinbar (?) (these are near to Miami), as related to clubs there - in those places, see?
12. (Q) If I stay in ... [Va.] would it be advisable for me to try and buy an interest in the Post Office Confectionery? (A) Good place! Worth considering! [9/14/33 See 408-1, 16-A--22-A in re same.] For the coming season, however, as we find, either of the other places would be possibly more satisfactory - UNLESS the connections are made for Glen Allen.
13. (Q) If I come back to Va. Beach next summer, would it be advisable to open up two or more stands such as I am
391-6 Page 3
running now? (A) Be advisable!
14. (Q) Which locations on the Beach would be best? (A) In the vicinity of the present location [Bet. 21st and 22nd Sts. on Atlantic], and one either above or one below. Near the hotel entrance would be very well; Princess Anne Hotel. With the general conditions that exist, as we find, in Virginia Beach, locations anywhere from 20th to 25th or 26th are worth considering. For, these are the areas where the greater congregations of individuals are the more active in such connections or associations; and will continue to be the area for the next two to three years, see?
15. (Q) Regarding my associations with and feelings toward [Mrs. [934]], please explain this situation - as to why we are attracted to each other, and what we should do about it? (A) The attraction, as we find, comes from - or through - former associations in the Grecian period; making for an association much in the same position as existed then, and that may be made - as it was THEN - a most satisfactory ending, or a DEVELOPMENT for each. For, the attractions are such that they will CONTINUE to grow. But, remembering much that was the experience through that period, all should be done in order and in keeping with that which may be well-spoken of among associates and connections. For, while each may - as in the present - feel, or have that INWARD feeling of an adjunct or as a complement one to another - hence each may, though, under the existent circumstances, feel that outwardly little may be accomplished, yet we would find their best mental development in association one with another.
16. (Q) Please explain the situation in the Grecian period. (A) This may be best done through the relationships of the period, as related particularly to each, rather than through just the mental mind.
17. (Q) Through her Life Reading or through information regarding each in a combination reading? (A) Through her Life Reading.
18. (Q) Were they associated in any other incarnations? (A) Connections or associations, but not the same character of relations.
19. (Q) What is the working out of destiny in the present? (A) This is rather large subject, young man, to consider? DESTINY, as ordinarily understood, is that, that which is to happen to a soul or an individual will gradually be brought about. In this many falter, as to what is the cause or what
391-6 Page 4
is destiny itself. Each soul, as a garment in the making, is made up of the warp and woof of materials that are gathered through the associations in the making. And when once made, whether into the garment that has its position as of an unseen yet necessary use to a soul, or body, or individual, or perhaps - perchance - through the making has WON a position of honor, in that it is to be that worn in the most momentous occasion of an individual's activity, as to what the garment does depends upon how WELL the BUILDER of same - as a soul - does with its destiny, or its soul; as to whether that position is to be one of honor or dishonor. Hence, what has been builded in the soul of an entity is that which gives it ITS opportunity for occupying that position of honor or dishonor. Yet the WILL of the soul makes use even of those things, positions, that have been of dishonor, as stepping-stones; or, perchance, through the will, may use positions of honor such that the soul becomes wanton in its very activity. Hence, every soul that recognizes within itself its birthright in its relationships to its Maker may make of its destiny that the MAKER would have the soul fill, through each activity - as an integer or as a single entity in its passage through material manifested planes or spheres. Hence, DESTINY is what a soul does with ITS will as in relationship to the Creative Forces. See?
20. (Q) Will [934] have any trouble in getting a divorce? (A) We haven't [934] except as in relation to the entity. As to those associations, when the activities are considered in relation to that just given - as to what destiny is, act then in that way and manner ever as self would be acted toward; taking into consideration ever that which is being honest with self, and with the best and the soul development of all concerned.
