Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Florida. (First Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [404]; this we have had before.
2. Now, as we find, there are many changes in the general physical forces of the body since last we had same here. These, as we find, in the greater part, have been or are of the detrimental nature to the better physical functioning of the body.
3. These as we find in the present are affecting more of the locomotaries as related to the distribution of energy in the system.
4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [404] we are speaking of:
5. First, in the BLOOD SUPPLY, we find the effectuation of the conditions in the ganglia of the system (through poisons, as we shall see) affects the circulation in its activity. Hence an abnormal blood pressure exists for the body. This, as we shall see, is from the affecting of ganglia in the nerve forces of the body rather than of any organic condition.
6. The pressure that is making for a slowing of the circulation tends to make for those feelings, especially in the extremities, as of a deadening of the portion of the body thus affected.
7. As we find, in the NERVE FORCES of the body is the gradual cause of the distress. For, with the mental activities of the body, the repression of the activities to the imaginative or to the sympathetic portions of the body produces a slowing up.
8. Then, with the ganglia becoming affected by the reaction in the blood system and the repressions in the nerve forces of the body, we have this condition which produces then for the general system that of a toxemia. Not from the digestive system (as is so often), but rather from the inability of the circulation - through the lymph forces - to
404-3 Page 2
produce in the system a balance or coordination between the arterial and the vein circulation. Hence these repulses in the whole system produce for the whole body a reaction that becomes alarming at times; and affects the head, the digestive system, the activities of the organs throughout the body.
9. These, then, are the effects. They are not causes, but the causes are the inflammation that is produced by the affectation in the nerve force themselves.
10. As to the ORGANS of the body, these - as we find - are under the stress and strain of the conditions existent in the general nerve system; both cerebrospinal and sympathetic and sensory system.
11. ALL the organs, then, through which such a circulation is so slowed through the activities of the body, make for a DILATORY reaction in their functioning.
12. As we find, then, the body may be aided in not only gaining a better coordination through the system but aided in sustaining same; for the vibrations would be necessarily raised through such activities as to bring to the active forces of the body a repulsing of that which disorders the body, as well as to add to the system that necessary for creating an equilibrium that will aid in bringing normal forces to the body.
13. First, we would prepare a compound to be taken occasionally; or when it is felt that it is necessary to rehabilitate or to ease the body from the general nerve strains, either to the head, to the stomach proper, or to increase the circulation.
14. Then, to 4 ounces of simple syrup, we would add: Tincture of Valerian.........................1 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya.......................1 1/2 ounces, Tincture of Stillingia.....................1/4 ounce, Essence of Wild Ginger.....................1/4 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium............10 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium...........30 minims, Tincture of Capsici..........................5 minims. Shake well before the dose is taken, which would be half a teaspoonful in half a glass of water. Do not take oftener than two hours apart, but do not take unless it's necessary to quiet the nerves to make for tendency to rest or sleep. However, do not be fearful of this producing any reaction that would be detrimental to the body.
15. We would begin also immediately with the use of electrical treatments that may be had through the plain

violet ray, using the anode - however - that only directs the current through the whole body. Such a treatment would be taken at least every day, twice a day if necessary, for fifteen to twenty minutes. The first time the treatment is given, hold the anode in the left hand; the next time hold the right foot over same, see? the next time hold the anode in the opposite (or right) hand; the next time hold the opposite (or left) foot over same, see? so that there is a circle made with these treatments.
16. Be mindful that the diet is kept so that eliminations are near normal.
17. Massage would ever be well to keep the circulation; which may be done with the electrically driven vibrator. Begin with the central portion of the body (or 9th dorsal plexus) and work towards the lower extremities; then begin from the central portion of body and work towards the upper extremities. This would be given every other evening, or every evening when necessary, for five to fifteen minutes.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) Should I eat any bread? What kind and how much? (A) Bread, as we find, that is of the whole wheat or Graham or rye, is the better; not large quantities, no, but it should always be browned.
20. (Q) Should I drink coffee and when? (A) Coffee is not harmful to the body, provided it is FRESH coffee.
21. (Q) Is the water in Jacksonville good for me? How much should I drink daily? (A) From six to eight glasses; but we would always boil all the water used in Jacksonville for this body. Neither the climate nor the water is very good!
22. (Q) Are sweets and starches good for me? (A) In moderation, very good; not to excess, to be sure.
23. (Q) In what mineral is the body lacking? (A) Potash.
24. (Q) Any other? (A) This is the main. There is an excess of iodine.
25. (Q) What foods would supply this? (A) All of the phosphate nature.
26. (Q) What other foods does she especially need? (A) All those that supply phosphate, and - necessarily - those that make for sufficient of the carbohydrates for the energies that will be created by the breaking up of the activities through the nerve forces, by the application of the electrical vibrations. These will change many conditions in the body when they are taken constantly for ten to fifteen to twenty days. See?

27. (Q) What fruits should the body eat? (A) All fruits except apples, or bananas.
28. (Q) When may the body expect to be well? (A) As it creates the balance for the system through the application of those things, elements or forces that will bring about a balancing of the body, it should be well.
29. (Q) Would it be better for the body to leave Florida? (A) If possible; be better for the body to leave Florida. [GD's note: She & family returned to Va. early in 1935.]
30. (Q) Please give any mental or spiritual advice that would be helpful at this time. (A) Any that may be added to that to which the body ministers itself, would be: That life in its activity is the expression of the divine influences in a material world. And individuals in the application of that that comes in their ken of activity may, through the drawing wholly, solely, upon the Creative Forces within, CHANGE their own surroundings, their OWN vibrations, within their bodies!
31. (Q) Any other advice for the body at this time? (A) Keep sweet; keep hopeful; KNOW that the Redeemer liveth.
