Time of Reading 3:20 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion (Body & enquiring mind) Then - you will answer the ques. which he will submit re. his connection with P.O. Confectionary of Va. Beach, Va.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [408], present in this room; the physical conditions of the body, the associations and relations.

2. While the body is very good in most respects as to the physical functionings, there are - as we find - some conditions that may be corrected, if the body will take congnizance of them in the present, and add materially to the general welfare and well-being of the body physically, preventing a great deal of disorder later on.

3. These, then, are the conditions-physical that we find with this body, [408] we are speaking of, present in this room:

4. In the BLOOD SUPPLY there are the indications of tentative disorders as related to the circulation through portions of the body. Through the character of the blood supply in portions of the body, or system, is this indicated.

5. Hence, there are the causes and the effects that are produced from these existent conditions; which in part are of a specific nature. And these at times also affect the nervous system, making for a heaviness at times in the head, little dull headaches, clogging up of the muco-membranes of the nose; the throat at times giving some irritation, and a general feeling at times (not at all times) of a tingling sensation over the whole body; with feelings or tiredness and irritation to the whole MENTAL outlook of the body.

6. As to the physical functionings, or the ORGANS, these specific conditions - as we find - are indicated principally in the antrum (the lower antrum) and in the nasal cavity. These are the specifics, as we find, that need to be corrected; which would make for a much better reaction

throughout the whole system, removing many of those conditions that produce irritation in various portions of the body; as, the digestive system at times makes for disturbances, tendencies for a quick pulsation, a heaviness even in the lower limbs and the activities that come from such disturbances.

7. In relieving these conditions, as we find, it will require some persistence; yet, if the directions given will be followed closely, persistently, consistently, for these irritations and for these conditions, it will prevent - as given - a great deal of distress that must come sooner or later in some portion of the body, if the corrections are not made; from the muco-membranes being disturbed, the metabolism of the system being out of order, the digestive activity, and especially the tendency for periods when there is the feeling of depression, or easy-irritation to the general forces of the active body.

8. There might be operative measures taken, but - as we find - these directions that we are giving from here will be MORE effective; though, to be sure, requiring a longer period of activity, but not only the suffering would be prevented or relieved through this method but overcoming the disturbances in such a manner would make for betterment of the whole system. Then:

9. Each evening when ready for retiring, we would use the electrically driven vibrator over the upper portion of the cerebrospinal system, especially; from the middle of the spine to the base of the head and then around the head, the face, the muscles of the face and neck and shoulders, using the cup applicator in the whole of the treatments except in the central portion of the upper dorsal and lower cervical area we would use the hard applicator. Use this for at least fifteen to twenty minutes each evening.

10. After the use of the vibrator each evening use a spray for the nostrils and the membranes of the nasal cavity and throat, applying same in the atomizer (Devilbis would be very good) in the nasal passage; as this:

11. To 1 ounce of grain alcohol, add: Eucalyptol, Oil of..................10 minims, Tincture of Benzoin.................15 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp................2 minims, Benzosol in solution.................3 minims, Tolu in solution....................30 minims. Then, to the solution, when ready to use, (see, we would put into the atomizer container 40 minims of the solution) add

408-1 Page 3

DISTILLED water to fill the container; which is about half to three-quarters of an ounce, see?

12. This may be sprayed into the nasal cavity, in spray form.

13. All this would be done in the evening, you see.

14. We would also of mornings take the head and neck exercise upon arising; once or twice forward with the head, circular motion of the head around from the right side; circular motion of the head from the left side; to the side, backward, and circle again; only about three, four or five minutes of this, but it will make a wonderful change in those disturbances in the chest, in the nasal cavities, the throat, the head, and CLEANSING these. And because this produces some discharge from the head, after the first four or five days, do not be disturbed; for it will clear up these conditions.

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) How long should this treatment be kept up? (A) The treatment should be kept up until the body feels the condition is entirely relieved; then it may rest for a week or two weeks, then take them over again for another week or ten days, see? (In original copy, physical and business put on separate sheets)

17. (Q) Regarding the material affairs, or business affairs: Could I run the Post Office Confectionary successfully alone? (A) As we find, this may be well accomplished by the body; but taking the whole general situations and conditions into consideration, as they have existed and do exist in the present, as to the relationships, it would be well that it be at least the beginning of the coming season before such changes would be definitely made. Let self be well established as to its relationships in ALL associations and connections with the handling of the business, and assuming more and more the obligations of same - as to activities, see? Then, when these are better established, and the relationships are - as may be termed - secure; then make such changes.

18. (Q) Is it possible for me to get full control? (A) After that time, as we find, it would be possible for the body to get control.

408-1 Page 4

See, that would be May - April or May - of the coming year.

19. (Q) How could I go about it? (A) As the changes come about, by that period there may be easily made the arrangements with associations, or through the financial associations and connections, wherein the body may get the control.

20. (Q) What arrangements could I make with my present corporation to get full control of the business? (A) As indicated, when there has been sufficient lapse of time - or sufficient activity, and the general situations throughout the financial associations are in some better condition, see, as to general conditions, then such approaches may be made; for the arrangements may then be made with the local bank, if so desired. Or, through associations in the business with the various individuals from whom, or corporations from whom, the body purchases or uses their supplies.

21. (Q) What are the prospects for this business? (A) As given, this whole area - from 17th Street to 26th Street - has the best OUTLOOK for the general activities in business associations in this vicinity. And, conducted on sound, economic basis, should be made a DECIDED success; and in two or three years the body should be independent - or by '36. [GD's note: His business, and the area, did rise in value as indicated.]

22. (Q) Are there any suggestions as to how the business might be improved? (A) The policies of the body, in the operation of the business and association, are very good. The only change that we would give (and this the body, as we find, is gradually making the improvements in) is to watch closely the purchasing end of the business and associations. Do not be too easily over-sold, nor to quick to COUNTER as to the varied propositions that may be presented; but watch THIS end - and don't be over-sold. As we find, following along the lines given for the general physical welfare, the body will be much more buoyant, active, and have a more optimistic outlook on associations, connections and relations; for, when a body feels well conditions are naturally optimistic. In the business associations and relations, look toward the activities when there may be more and more of the responsibilities, as well as the economics necessary in all associations and connections, to keep an even keel and balance.

Keep peace, of course, at most any price; but NOT to the detriment of self, to be sure. But, by the periods of preparations for the coming season, or for next season (that is just closing with this season, as is ordinarily termed; though the body may so conduct same as to make a FULL season.).
