1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - [409]. This we have had before. Now, we find the general conditions show improvement through the body. While there has not been applied wholly all those conditions as have been given for same, the carbon ash would be well to use with same for the disturbance as has been outlined - and this should be prepared in THIS manner:
2. Use the carbon lamp that is ordinarily, or has ordinarily been used as Aristo [?] light, or as search light. Use at least a globe ten inches in diameter over same. Closed only, as seen, in the lower end - and then only as sets in holder, making a vacuum of one-fourth or three-fourths vacuum, as given - that is, three-fourths of the hole are open, see? and the ash is that as condensed from burning of carbon - one solid, one cored - in this light, from the air and carbon. Not carbon as BURNED, see? for this carbon itself that is raked off, scraped off, is of such nature as to mean other elements in the human body - but the ash as condensed in the glass or crock globe, see? Give small quantities at the time. Now, for this particular condition - while this is being prepared (and be sure it's prepared properly before given), we would still use those applications of the ultra violet ray, see? beginning at the lower portion, going upward - that is, with the treatments. As treated, just below the knee, then toward the hip, plumb to the joining to this of the body, see? MASSAGE, before such treatment is given, that portion that is to be treated at that time, with equal parts Olive Oil, Tincture of Myrrh and Sassafras Oil, see? Heat the oil, adding the myrrh, adding the sassafras oil. Not more than tablespoonful needs be made at once, for not well to preserve or try to keep this, except when ready to be used - for its decomposition is not well in treatments for such conditions.
3. Then, when these conditions are allayed - the swelling

and the emanations from the bone joint, we will find other changes necessary. As the soreness, as the condition leaves the body, we would gradually begin to USE the body - force the use of same as much and as fast as possible without causing too MUCH trouble. Not giving the treatments oftener than has been outlined, see?
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) Should the ultra Violet ray be given to both back and front of right side? (A) Given as has been given! Commencing, its to be on the outside, see - to be sure, the OUTSIDE - not under side, nor top side, nor inside - but outside. Beginning closer to the knee, coming plumb all the way to the body.
6. (Q) What causes the frequent urination and straining sensation afterward? (A) The changes as are taking place from the effect of eliminations being set up.
7. (Q) How soon can the body receive osteopath treatment? (A) When the soreness or swelling is sufficiently allayed to allow same to be given, gently. You are beginning same with the massage now, see? and massage should be from the lumbar toward that portion that is to be treated, see?
8. (Q) Has the body responded to the treatment given? (A) Hasn't it been given that it was better?
9. (Q) What was wrong with the ash that we received? [See 165-9 and 165-10 on 7/27/29-8/3/29 in re making it.] (A) It's just been given, that it's the carbon itself and not the ash of that as created!
10. (Q) Any other suggestions regarding this body? (A) Do these first and then we will give more suggestions.
