This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 105th St. & Ocean, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of December, 1931, in accordance with request made by self, Mr. [412], Active Member of Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through his wife - Mrs. [457].

Time of Reading 11:35 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [412] - this we have had before. Now we find there are changes in the physical conditions of the body from that as we had here before.

2. In those centers along the cerebrospinal system, where there has been an injury to the muscular forces and tendons (this in the central dorsal region), there needs be care that these are not overtaxed, until sufficient time is given for the proper and perfect coagulation of those centers that have been strained. This, with proper precautions, and with the applications that would bring for the body an activity of the system in that direction - which, we would find, would be by a massage of the muscular forces, the tendons in those portions of system, not only with the corrections as have been made for a stimulation, but massaging same with Olive Oil, Tincture of Myrrh, and Sassafras Oil - equal parts; heat the oil - Olive Oil, adding the Myrrh, then adding the Sassafras Oil. This we would gently massage in the muscular forces along the spine, for several days - at least twice each day; a small quantity used when this is being massaged, whatever the pores or the skin itself, by the massaging, will take up.

3. Heat also applied will be beneficial; preferably heat from packs of heavy salt. This should not be too hot when it is applied to those portions where the massage has taken place, but would be well that the heat be applied just BEFORE these applications are massaged in the system.

4. We would be mindful also that the diet carries a full blood and nerve building portion, that there is an even balance kept for the alkaline and acid foods. These we would outline, for this particular body, in this manner - with the balance as exists in the present:

5. Mornings - citrous fruits, followed with dry toast and a cereal drink.

6. Noons - preferably the green vegetable nature, well balanced; leeks, onions, celery, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes

- these should be used, with an oil dressing or mayonnaise dressing. These will be helpful. This may be altered with some sweet, either honey, stewed fruits, or canned fruits - in which there is not used a preservative, especially the pears, apricots, cherries, or the like.

7. Evenings - the cooked vegetables that are well balanced in those of both the leafy and the pod; beans, the crowder [?] peas [black-eye peas?], asparagus, lentils, spinach and kale, red cabbage and the like - these will aid the system in cleansing itself from the extra amount of drosses as from the system's adjusting itself through those conditions existent. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Has the amount of red blood supply improved? (A) Somewhat. There is the necessity of an excess in the present conditions.

9. (Q) What chemical properties are needed for this body? (A) Those as will be supplied through the vegetable forces. This will be an even balance between those of the iodides and potashes, as will be seen with the various forms of silicon, calcium, phosphorus and the like - in the vegetables and fruits as has been outlined.

10. (Q) Are the teeth causing trouble? (A) Some are needing local attention. These, as we find, are not PRODUCING the trouble - but rather the unbalanced condition, or the lack of calcium in the system heretofore; has been rather the result - the conditions in teeth a result of the lack of that in system! Local attention, and the balancing of the conditions, we find would be beneficial.

11. (Q) What vertebrae should be adjusted? (A) It's rather in the central portion of the dorsal area; not so much adjustments now, as it is keeping alignment of the MUSCULAR forces. The tautness is produced from that. The relief has been brought in the vertebrae; that is, it's aligned. Keep it in alignment, and the muscular forces need the attention.

12. (Q) Would x-ray of spine help any? (A) Only VERIFY the conditions - wouldn't be of benefit to the body!

13. (Q) What has produced the colds? (A) The weakened conditions in the body, and this making for low resistance makes easily for congestion or cold. With the building up of the body, the replenishing of the system, the alignments and the muscular forces taut, eliminations kept clear, we will find these will not be so prevalent with the system, or for the system.

14. (Q) How should oil, water and alcohol be mixed for hair

tonic? [412-1, Par. 11-A] (A) Not to be mixed! They are used separate, for the oil is used first! Then the alcohol is as a cleansing solution - the alcohol is put in water and used as cleansing. Don't mix! Oil and water don't mix very well!

15. (Q) How much alcohol in water? (A) This has been given. Just use it as has been given! It's a twenty percent solution!
