Time of Reading 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [412], who is in the ... Cottage at ..., N.Y., his associates and associations. You will advise him about his mental and material affairs, and answer the questions in reference to these and ... Uniform Co., ..., N.Y. City.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [412], and those associations and relations, and the relations with ... Company - these we have had before.
3. In much of that which has been given is seen that as is sought here. Much of that should be followed in consistent manner with that which has been given, would there be those effects brought about in the relationships that are for the upbuilding of those conditions promised the body in the material relationships.
4. Ready for questions.
5. (Q) What caused the disturbances in my body recently? (A) The upsetting of the system, produced by non-assimilation through contamination of outside and material influences inside, or an unbalancing of the metabolism of the system.
6. (Q) How can same be avoided in the future? (A) Don't unbalance it! Be more consistent with the manner in which the activities are carried on, mentally and physically.
7. (Q) How can we raise the necessary capital of $10,000 to carry on our expansion as suggested in reading? (A) By using those facilities for the carrying on of the business already in hand. There is not the necessity for making expansions faster than the accumulation of orders justify, but these carried on in the manner that has been suggested will bring as results those expansions in the distribution, or the orders which will justify any of the financial associations in aiding in the expansions that would be necessary in the developing and expanding of the business - see? So, then, this should be a natural
412-6 Page 2
outgrowth, rather than making preparations or expanding before the orders and the satisfaction in service warrants such expansions; for one brings the other, as cause and effect, and there is that intermingling of cause and effect that goes with - or is the result of - good management, good judgement, in keeping with the character of the service that is rendered in the channels in which the activities are engaged, and these should be consistent one with another, and these will make for the opening of those ways and means for the expansion that is necessary.
8. (Q) Has the proper time arrived to change the name of the firm? (A) This should be also rather an outgrowth, and should be used rather in this manner: Are the associations now of such a nature that the service rendered is considered in association with [412]? or is it still the reputation of the ... Company that is being sold? and is the dependence being put in the reputation of that association or of [412] and associates? Then, when this has been decided, and it is seen that it would be an addition to the associations to change to that policy of the service that may be rendered by [412], then it may be changed to "Uniforms by [412]" or some such name that would indicate the policy of the advancement of the service of those associated in the undertaking.
9. (Q) Would the name "Uniforms by [412]" be representative and also have the correct vibrations for success? (A) This has just been given. These should be decisions in the activities of the body. Is the dependence in those activities or reputations as has been given? or is the service and the activity of [412] such that these are the expectancy of those seeking service through the channels? If so, then change to that!
10. (Q) Is the Warrenton Woolen Mills the right connection for us, in the merchandising plan, from the mill to the consumer? (A) There should be a little more careful consideration of the financial responsibility of the Warrenton Mills before there is a definite stand taken. When these are satisfactory, and to the extent that they are entirely satisfactory and dependable in furnishing and supplying the material in the raw, then this would be the proper association and connection. As we find, it would be well that there be more than one graded mill supply through these channels for the greater success. That one making for the competive association, and that one supplying the better - or that as is sought in a competitive quality association. While the Warrenton furnishes these in rather the intermediate grade, these can be supplied in such a manner
412-6 Page 3
and connection as from those of the new Haven Mills - as well as the Warrenton Mills. Those two associations would be the better.
11. (Q) What are the changes in policies referred to in Par. 2-A, [412-3] reading of Oct. 1931, and when will they be put in affect? (A) They should ask themselves when will they be put into effect! The policies were outlined; that is, the service; that is, the manner of service; that is, that policy that the customer must be supplied in a manner that is in keeping with that being sought. See?
12. (Q) In what way can the policies of the firm be improved? (A) These have been outlined; that is, in the manner as just given.
13. (Q) Name the fraternal organizations that would be worth while connections and which are financially well off, as suggested in reading? (A) Those of the Boy Scouts, those of any of the Woodmen [Woodmen of the World] orders, those of any of the uniform ranks in the various organizations that make for the active forces in connection with same.
14. (Q) Would it be wide to make connections in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, as suggested in reading of Oct. at the present time, or better wait a little? When will be a good time? [412-3] (A) When they can be made! Now is the time!
15. (Q) Name some of the connections that would be valuable in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama. [See 412-2.] (A) Any of those, through working through those channels that make for the individual activity in lines with these, or such organizations, or that make for those associations and connections in line with that which is supplied through those of the individual activity; that is, as this: There are those connections in such places as Savannah, as Atlanta, as Columbus, in Georgia, that make a specialty of supplying the uniforms for hotels, organizations, police forces, and the like. These must be sought out! To give the body, the individual, whom to approach - as in any one of the places, which may be done - will be cutting off the policies, and that of the will of the individual in making for self a success! It would then be dependent on outer influences that must be continued to be sought! The activities of an individual should be to become themselves capable, able, of meeting the conditions in their own personal experience, by building that necessary element of activity in same HOW to meet situations. The same condition exists in other portions of the States as named. Make the
412-6 Page 4
connections by seeking out those that make a specialty in this way and manner.

20. (Q) Considering our financial situation, state specifically which type of advertising will give us the best results (such as magazines, personal mail, or printed circulars or printer blotters). (A) Personal correspondence, or the seeking out of those various groups or associates with those of newspapers, would be the better advertising or magazined. Magazines would be better in many of the fraternal organizations.
21. (Q) When will the body enter the period of material prosperity as stated in reading of June 1931? [412-2] (A) When he fits himself for same, mentally and physically!
