Time of Reading 11:00 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [415], this we have had before.
2. There are changes in the physical forces since last we had the body, and the present conditions - as we find - arise from the congestions that have affected, and do affect, the weakened portions of the body, as from those things that have been disturbed (that is, the organs and the functioning of same), through those activities that have been had before, without there having been a proper replenishing of the energies necessary to keep a normal balance in the body.
3. Hence we find not only an upset condition in the digestive area, with some temperature, with inflammation in the glands of the throat and head, with a cold - and some inflammation in the bronchi and lungs, but these affect - of course - the circulation in other portions also.
4. In the present, as we find, these ministrations should be the better for the body, and we would soon find relief were these applications made:
5. First we would take three to five grains of properties found in Calcidin, and put in five tablespoonsful of water - five grains in five tablespoonsful of water, see - hot water. Keep it covered, and every half hour give about half a teaspoonful of the solution. Keep it covered that the iodine effect may not wholly escape, but this is to be kept warm - not hot, not boiling, not so hot that it may not be drunk, but keep warm - made in warm water, little above tepid but not boiling water, see?
6. We would also every four hours give half a teaspoonful of Syrup of Squill.
7. Then, be sure that the body is massaged well with camphorated oil between the shoulders and around throat, between the eyes and around the head and the places where there is the soft tissue in face - all that it will absorb.
415-3 Page 2
Not necessary that a flannel be wrapped around it, but the body should not be exposed - should not be running outdoors or getting cold or anything of the kind.
8. Well that in the evenings before retiring, for the next two days, the feet be bathed in hot water and then rub them well to the knees with the camphorated oil also.
9. And ONLY a liquid diet, and that principally of citrus fruit juices. These may be combined, or they may be separate - but for the next two or three days ONLY citrus fruit juices.
10. Be well by tomorrow or tomorrow evening to begin with Castoria and give in broken doses; that is, half a teaspoonful every thirty minutes until there is at least two or three complete movements - or full movements - from the intestinal tract.
11. Do this, keeping the body quiet; we will find we will relieve these conditions, [415], Jr.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Has he any symptoms of measles or whooping cough? (A) Not as yet.
14. (Q) What treatment should his eyes have? (A) We have just given what should be used for his throat; and the Calcidin.
15. (Q) Should he continue to take Atomidine? (A) Leave off the Atomidine for the present.
16. (Q) Have the effects of scarlet fever been cleared up? (A) As indicated, this is a portion of the disturbance - and hence how and why the glands are disturbed also. In the throat and around the head, and especially the salivary glands.
17. (Q) Any further advice? (A) Do this at present, and then we may change things around in some little time. See?
