Time of Reading 11:15 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his health, his mental and material affairs. You will answer the questions he has submitted as I ask them.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [416], this we have had before.
2. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) What is the slight pain or uneasy feeling I have in the left side, at the 6th rib? [See last Ck. Physical 416-6 on 5/8/35.] (A) This is a strain or a tendency for the accumulations FROM a strain that makes for an awareness in certain movements of the body, or when there is unusual fatigue or when cold or congestion arises. As we find, we would take the exercise that has been once indicated; something of the setting-up exercises. Of mornings exercise those portions of the body particularly above the hips, or from the torso portion up, see? The raising of the arms, the bending to the side, to the front, the circular motions of the head, neck, the circular motions of the arms. Then of an evening just before retiring exercise the lower portion of the body. These will tend to make for the more perfect coordination in all the muscular forces of the system, will tend to make for the ability of the superficial circulation as coordinating with the deeper to adjust all of these conditions. It will not require more than two or three minutes, but do not take same as rote; rather as an exercise for the perfecting of the better physical forces. We will find with these the body will be able to rest better, will be able to quicker react from mental and physical coordinations. Do that.
416-9 Page 2
4. (Q) Any advice concerning my digestion? (A) These exercises will aid also in the digestion, for the muscular forces of diaphragm, the acting forces of the abdominal muscles, will all be brought into exercise of a kind and nature that will make for better assimilation, also better elimination. These tend to make for then better conditions through the body as related to the physical activities. As in a general way and manner, we find the general system very much better. There are in the upper dorsal and through portions of the cervicals, as related to the eyes and the muscular and nerve forces of the head, those pressures such that - if occasionally, once a month or oftener if there come disturbances in the head - the adjustments THERE, as well as the regular exercise, will make for the better corrections through the system. The rest as we find is very good.
5. (Q) What foods should I avoid? (A) Rather is it the combination of foods that makes for disturbance with most physical bodies, as it would with this. In the activities of the body in its present surroundings, those tending toward the greater alkalin reaction are preferable. Hence avoid combinations where corn, potatoes, rice, spaghetti or the like are taken all at the same meal. Some combinations of these at the meal are very good, but all of these tend to make for too great a quantity of starch - especially if any meat is taken at such a meal. If no meat is taken, these make quite a difference. For the activities of the gastric flow of the digestive system are the requirements of one reaction in the gastric flow for starch and another for proteins, or for the activities of the carbohydrates as combined with starches of this nature - especially in the manner in which they are prepared. Then, in the combinations, do not eat great quantities of starch with the proteins or meats. If sweets and meats are taken at the same meal, these are preferable to starches. Of course, small quantities of breads with sweets are alright, but do not have large quantities of same. These are merely warnings. Then, do not combine also the reacting acid fruits with starches, other than WHOLE WHEAT BREAD! that is, citrus fruits, oranges, apples, grapefruit, limes or lemons or even tomato juices. And do not have cereals (which contain the
416-9 Page 3
greater quantity of starch than most) at the same meal with the citrus fruits. These we will find will make for quite a variation in the FEELINGS and in the activity of the body, if these suggestions are adhered to.
6. (Q) Any advice about eyes? (A) As indicated, the occasional strengthening of the muscular flow through the activity of the nerve centers as well as the muscular reaction will be beneficial. As will be found also the head and neck exercise that is a portion of the bodily exercise suggested of mornings.
7. (Q) How may I improve my memory? (A) As memory is a portion of the INNER self, as well as the observing of the outer self, then we will find that periods when there is as we find the greater strain or greater attempt to recall or to make for memory it works a hardship on the physical forces without accomplishing a very great deal. Of course, memory tests, remembering names, remembering numbers, the activities of this sort are in many instances very good. In this body or for this body, as we find, these are not a great success, but we would find that better coordination in such may be had if the body will perfectly relax just after the periods when the exercises of the body are taken; closing the ears, closing the eyes, closing the MIND - as it were, in a manner - to all outside forces. Whether this is before or after the exercises, we find that the reactions from the exercises will make for better coordination. Hence as has been indicated from the statement given, coordinating of the physical body with the mental body creates that which is commonly known as memory. An assistance to this will be found in the use of the Radio-Active Appliance, which is well for everyone and especially good with this body; used with the periods when there is the subjugation of the physical consciousness of the sensory forces of the body. For these vibrations, that are created not from outside but that are coordinated through the vibratory reactions of the metallic forces and the cold and heat through the body, by the radial activity of those influences, will assist in making for that better cooperative, coordinative ability between the mental and physical forces of the body. And will be found to be very beneficial at times, especially when the body is physically or mentally tired. For these will bring rest and recuperative forces from the very vitality of the bodily force. These manners, then, as it may appear, are opposite
416-9 Page 4
to many of those routines in preparing the body for a memory or for improvement of the memory. But if we will allow a perfect physical body to coordinate with the activities of the influences about it, it CREATES a memory. Then there IS a memory within that is of the soul forces, which is the real essence of mind. For mind is a portion of the soul-force of each body, and allowing this to become more and more controlled by the subjugation of the physical consciousness allows this greater influence to become more active. Hence we will find if these are adhered to by the body, while it thinks very well but constructive thoughts, abilities for creative thinking will arise with the memory forces, if these are adhered to.
8. (Q) Am I working too hard for my best physical welfare? (A) Few people have ever injured themselves by work. Many have by worry as combined with work. But take the periods of rest and recuperate properly. Do not overtax the body-physical and then make for, by those periods of relaxation, the acting in the manner - as it were - of burning the candle at both ends. Do not do those things physically or mentally that would make for, from the using up of physical energies, greater destructive conditions in the mental and soul forces. And we will find, as has been indicated, a greater physical ability - and work won't hurt anyone.
9. (Q) Where should I go on my vacation in September? (A) This should be a choice by self, and in the meantime if there is the use of these periods of relaxation, let that be the guide. For this WILL create forces and influences that - well, that haven't been even suspected by the body to be able to think about!
10. (Q) Is there any liquid I could drink, or something else I could do besides eat potato peelings, to restore the color to and prevent gray hair? (A) Any of those that are of the nature that carry these same elements. Not too great a quantity as a drink of Coca-Cola (this may be overdone), though occasionally it would be well. And Root Beer is even better than Coca-Cola, though drink same occasionally - for it is helpful, provided there is the proper balance in the kidney activity to be sure; also it would be helpful if Red Wine were taken at the proper time as a FOOD - not as a drink. Red Wine in the late afternoon with brown or black bread. Any of these will help.
11. (Q) Regarding mental and material: Do you consider the Arlington Hotel, Ocean Ave., between 14th & 13th Sts., Va. Beach, a good investment for quick turnover?
416-9 Page 5
(A) If it may be purchased for less than forty, yes.
12. (Q) At what price could I buy it? (A) As indicated, if it's less than forty thousand dollars be a good investment.
13. (Q) Is it too big a proposition for me to handle at this time? (A) This may be handled in association with others.
14. (Q) How long should I hold it? (A) Eighteen months to two years.
15. (Q) Are there any other real estate opportunities I should look into? (A) Be advised about those things that are being presented from time to time where there are not wholly the foreclosures but the necessities of the changing of hands for the protection of interests, and those that have lost and are losing their hold and interest in such developments.
16. (Q) What are the business possibilities in and near Va. Beach? (A) These eventually will be almost unlimited. For eventually there must be not only a waterway to a portion of Virginia Beach - with the recreational facilities - eventually it will be a place for preservation of many of the conveniences as well as possibilities through those activities. This, of course, will be at the period when there will be the greater boom, that of course like most booms will eventually find its level and then its decline. But any of the preparations between now and then, which will begin by thirty-nine ('39), we will find great possibilities in any real estate that comes within that direction, see?
17. (Q) May I have some information concerning the future of Va. Beach? (A) This has just been indicated. It must ever remain more or less a recreational center, more than a commercial center. But as there will be those developments in waterways, and then naturally with these will come crafts of various kinds, pleasure crafts as well as those of the nearer to commercial but of a pleasure craft nature. All of these sorts of things will open for the vicinity its greater possibilities, by or through those that will make the surrounding territory as a part time residence. This then will make for the increasing of large estates and those that have made and do make investments in those directions for these very things. One of the best properties is that known as the Doctor place on Linkhorn Bay - Brooks. [Dr. T. Lea Brooks, Sr.?]
18. (Q) How much longer should I hold my lots on 54th St.? (A) As we find during this month there will come the opportunity for a good profit.
416-9 Page 6
19. (Q) During July or August? (A) During August when the sales are being inaugurated.
20. (Q) At what price should I sell them? (A) Well, this is how much profit do you want? Then that's how much price you'll ask and sell for!
21. (Q) Would it be wise for me to try to move my family to Va. Beach? (A) There's many things to be considered, as has been given. But this would be a very good advice, very good counsel and very good sense. If there would be a portion of the properties purchased that would allow the activities of the father or the family and the relationships still to be that of the farming, or of the nature of attending or looking after those things, then it would be very well.
22. (Q) What can I do in regard to a place for them there, the whole family? (A) As just indicated.
23. (Q) Should I make any effort for promotion in my line of work, or should I just stick with the job I have and wait for developments? (A) This has been indicated for the body heretofore. Prepare self along the way, but stick to the job as it is. For as the entity knows itself, it wouldn't be desired by the body to be in the position and to have the job and then seek to go somewhere else and then find the job it had left was the better, would it? in a few years time? Make same all coordinant, see?
24. (Q) When the change in my position comes about, HOW will it come about? (A) Be an offer through those in the position for the advancement in the field of activity, and dependent - as has been indicated heretofore - upon the manner in which the preparations of self have been, as to which field of activity it has been launched the greater in.
25. (Q) Are there any possibilities in the political field for me? (A) This would come later. Don't mix into the kind that are abroad in the present.
26. (Q) What party should I follow? (A) Don't follow those that are in power right now!
27. (Q) Please clarify the information given regarding my matrimonial possibilities. [See 416-8, Par. 24-A--26-A on 3/21/36.] (A) These as we have given are indicated from the astrological sojourns and from the correlating of relationships through the material or through the earthly activities. As to what an individual or an entity does about these
416-9 Page 7
depends upon the application of will in either or any direction. These as possibilities, these as relations, have been indicated for the body. Owing to circumstances and conditions that have surrounded the body, much has been delayed on the part of the body in these activities. Then when the body, physically, mentally, sets its mind to seeking a mate, it won't be long in finding it! [See 416-11, Par. 14-A; 416-14, Par. 25-A, 26-A.]
