You will give a mental and spiritual reading for this entity, describing any special conditions or urges to be met and the goal as set in the soul-mind upon entrance into this plane; also give any specific counsel and guidance which will aid him in his mental and spiritual development at this time.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, [416]; the enquiring mind, and those influences and forces that have to do with the mental and spiritual attitude of the entity in the present, with those influences that arise from activities in sojourns through the experiences in the earth and their influence upon the entity in its relationships in the present.
2. As we would find, first, there would be given that as would be a constructive basis for the entity's analyses of influences in the environmentals as well as purposes, aims and desires.
3. These words - purposes, aims, desires - become as mere words, yet in their relationships to the whole, FROM what, IN what are they having their meaning and their influence?
4. As has so oft been given, there is the physical body, the mental body, the spiritual body. The mental is the builder. The mental body then has its attributes, which from the application of self physically, mentally, spiritually produce desires, longings, aims, purposes. Thus as has been given oft, as the individual or soul or entity has purposed in its heart, then there come those influences that act upon the various forces of the body mentally, the body physically, that make for what become as the environmental forces about a body.
5. The purposes then for the entrance of each entity, of this entity, into an experience in the earth plane, arise from first there having been created, there having been made by the union of purpose of individuals - a means or channel

or way in which there came the opportunity for expression. Then as these activities began, there comes upon the entity the awareness of the various influences, as to how to carry on in fulfilling, in meeting that purpose.
6. Hence we find as in many individual instances, conditions become athwarted by the desires for gratifying one portion of the entity's experience (bodily, mentally), the aggrandizement of same, the satisfying of same, without the proper or due consideration of the mental and spiritual bodies as a whole.
7. These offer then in the experience of this entity, as in others, oft complexities, complex conditions, which - having been in the mental attributes through the various experiences neglected, because (as it may be said) the body-mind has become overdeveloped or underdeveloped - bring about the inabilities of expression, as may be well experienced in THIS entity in its associations in its mental self in the present.
8. Hence these are given because they may be understood by the entity, if there is the analysis of self as related to the influences of the mental forces of the entity.
9. Then, the entity is in that position, that condition of being aware of self within an environment that is both mental and material and spiritual in its influences or forces. There is then the ideal way and manner in which all of the activities of the entity as in relationships to these environments, these influences, these forces of every nature, are or may be directed or acted upon.
10. Depending then upon the sincerity, the activity of the entity in relationships to these, there becomes a development or a retardment. In what?
11. The mind or the mental body is both spiritual (or everlasting) and temporal. Then it is to the mental self. And this makes for confusions if an equal balance is not kept throughout the experience of the entity.
12. Then, how, in what manner may there be the application of the entity in relationships to things material, to things mental, to things spiritual in the present; to fulfillthat purpose for which the entity came into being?
13. Did it come into being for self, for self-indulgence, for self-glorification, for self-exaltation?
14. Each soul, of its spiritual self, knows that purpose for which it entered. If it has been so submerged, so overcome by the material things of an experience that this is lost sight of, then there comes either confusion or retardment in the experience of each soul, each entity. Yet if it ever keeps in touch with the sources of spiritual supply - which

are the basis, the center, the nucleus about which all mental forces gravitate, activate or move and these are kept as in accord with the influences for keeping constructive forces - then the entity, no matter WHAT may be the environment, continues to meet itself, to meet those forces and influences that do and will make for constructive development in the experience; in WHATEVER environment or activity it may be, whether in the flesh or out of the flesh.
15. But when it has lost sight of its SPIRITUAL force, its spiritual nucleus, and the body-mental begins to build toward the self, the ego - not the I AM of I AM THAT I AM, that is the center, the source of all forces or influences, but toward the self - it loses its hold.
16. How then may the entity, [416], apply self in the present for the meeting and the making of that which will create, build, construct within the experience that which is CONSTRUCTIVE?
17. GIVING OUT THAT YE HAVE, in the mental and spiritual import, for the helpfulness of that FORCE about the entity. Thus does the growth come.
18. For in the growth of every force we find the multiple of itself by its activity upon itself constitutes growth; whether this is in the mental self, the spiritual self or the physical world. It is the multiple of itself upon itself; not FOR itself but OF itself. As it gives out then, it grows. So does the entity, using that in hand day by day. Not as a multiplicity of thought, not as that "I may take advantage" of this or that. Rather, "How may I be of service in making for CONSTRUCTIVE forces in the life, in the experience, in the activity, in the associations of those things about me?"
19. Little by little, line upon line - this is the manner, this is the growth, this is the way in which the entity may fulfill may meet, may overcome; and satisfy (not gratify, but satisfy) that longing for its relationship to the Creative Forces that manifest in the influences about the entity, as they do in its own self.
20. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) From time to time I have had premonitions or warnings involving controlled motor impulses which have resulted in preventing accidents. Just how can I develop this ability and extend it? Please explain in detail what takes place and what I may do in developing it. (A) As has just been indicated, in the manner in which there is the use of the mental body and its attributes -

which may be called Wish, Desire, Longing, Self-Protection, Self- Projection, Self-Gratification, Self-Animation. All of those influences are a portion of the MENTAL body, both physical or material AND spiritual. Those that are used for only self-indulgences lose sight of protection or of constructive forces. As the entity has developed through the experiences in its application of that as has been indicated - constructive forces in its activity - then it has magnified that portion or that attribute of its mental self that enables it to project not only for PHYSICAL protection, but mental protection and spiritual opportunity. For if there is, as given, the BASIS of all forces arising from the spiritual projection of itself enfolded upon itself, it must ever be for a CONSTRUCTIVE purpose and hence not be destructive - unless it has become only SELF-gratification, glorification or exaltation. If for constructive forces it is of spiritual import. And as the self, the entity, meditates upon the spiritual influences, the spiritual forces for good - not for self but for the whole - this growth, this protection, this influence comes upon those activities of the entity in its relationships to conditions that manifest themselves in protective influences at such experiences or times.
22. (Q) My mother and father are continually on my mind. Just what attitude should I hold and what should I do for them in line with their development and my own? Would it be wise to move them to the vicinity of the Beach where I could be with them? (A) These are conditions that have been indicated in their experiences as individuals as well as in the experience of this entity in relationships to them. There enters into this then not only the purposefulness of self but their own desires, their own longings. However, the changes that have come about have mitigated much of that which has been in the way of PROVING for a helpful influence in the activity of the mother and father. Then, as these conditions have changed, as we find, in the present these would be well to consider; that is, changes to where there might be the closer association that would be the more helpful influence in the experience of each. 23. (Q) Just why did I entirely forget all conditions surrounding the automobile accident which I was in two years ago, Oct. 21, 1934? Please explain my mental attitude regarding this and advise me in my thinking regarding it. (A) As has been indicated or shown in that given above, the mental self here met that which is or was of a DESTRUCTIVE

nature in those phases of the BODILY experience. Hence the mental portion - for the protection of self, for the activities of self - has blotted same from an activity in the memory. As an illustration: When there has been an injury to the physical body, and the attributes of same have sent out its own influences to heal same and it has healed, is there the memory of the injury? Rather is it that it has encased itself SO WELL that, if there is a correct balance of the mental self and the physical self, there is greater strength. Hence that this has occurred in the mental body of this entity should be rather this satisfaction: KNOW that the body (mentally) is perfectly balanced, else there would be those things constantly reflected upon same as to cause disturbance, distortion, disruption in the whole of the mental body. But what is the first law? Preservation! Hence as that HAS acted in the capacity of PRESERVATION, and when there was the lapse of the preservation by the lack of rest - or owing to fatigue to not the mental self but the physical self - the mental self PROJECTS self then as to protect the mental and physical self.
24. (Q) How may I improve my methods of study in order to retain the material and make it more useful in my development? (A) Do not study or ponder - what may be termed - "hard," or too long. Rather study, ponder same, and let the physical body immediately rest. Then the mental self has the opportunity to assimilate same. Then in the waking or physical consciousness make practical application in such a way and manner that it becomes a portion of the mental and physical being. That would apply for all, also.
25. (Q) Just what attitude should I assume toward my present work in view of the suggestions given through this channel regarding ultimate work in radio? (A) Hold fast to that thou hast in hand and prepare thyself gradually for changes that must come with the association of self with the transportations of every nature, and especially communications - in transportation.
26. (Q) Just how much time and energy should I place toward advancing in my present activity in comparison with the time and energy spent in preparing for radio work?

(A) Budget self. To budget self is well. For as has been indicated, as it is necessary for the preparation or the protection of the bodily forces to keep nominally and normally well-balanced, so it is necessary in the mental self to keep not cut off here, not cut off there. How would it be to have physical activities with one arm or one leg off, one eye out, or part of the mouth gone, or the like? It is the same in the mental self, in its application to material things. Keep well-balanced, and as has been indicated, hold to that in hand; then have those periods of recreation, mentally, physically - the application to the material things for the sustenance and for the maintaining of those attitudes, those aptitudes in relationships to the surroundings and that which supplies needs and the developments for self, and those periods when same would be applied to the advancement mentally, physically, spiritually.
27. (Q) What advice and counsel should I offer my associates in selecting the best available bus terminal for the coming season? (A) This comes out of the realm of the entity's development. But as we find this had best be closer to the Post Office.
28. (Q) What other counsel may be given me regarding my efforts in improving my work and the general services of transportation offered by our company? (A) As has been indicated, if there is kept a balance between the preparations of self in this or that activity - the preservation of the present, the advancement of the mental and the material forces these of themselves become improved. How? As has been shown from the mental self. A greater unfoldment as to what is to be done today, if done, then leaves those activities for the morrow. Hence as He gives, "sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Did He say "Sufficient is the good thereof"? Rather this is the GROWTH. Hence there would be the activities of self in all of these directions; the proper preparation by keeping first - what? - the spiritual connection with the sources of supply; which is the spiritual inner self, through those promises of Creative Forces, those energies and activities that arise from the promptings not of exaltation or glorification of self but of thy Creator - which is a part OF thyself but not thyself, lest thou keep in accord with Him! Hence as these develop there may come ALL those understandings, unfoldments necessary in thy daily activity.
