Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body and enquiring mind, in regard to real estate, home, mental and material affairs and associations. Ques.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [416]; this we have had before.

2. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Which of these three places would be the most suitable, everything considered: The 23 acre Taylor [Robert B. Taylor-Dawson property?] place in Oceana, the Van Patten property, or a portion of the Doyle property on Laskin road? (A) In considering the properties as indicated, many things are necessary to take into consideration - as relations to convenience that are necessary as a part of those considerations for which the body is primarily interested in the properties. As we find, all conditions then considered - the Taylor property is the most feasible. For, as we find, the products - but first all the manner in which this has been protected and cared for makes it a good buy. Then again the conveniences for water, lights, and accessibility for the market, for transportations, for everything considered as would be in regards to the making of the place a home. For it should be considered as that; not only for those who are being taken into consideration but for the self, and for the least outlay it is capable of showing the greater returns with quicker prospects of it (the property) becoming building property. As we would find then, this - with a home as of that as we would find in this particular vicinity; and not too great an expense but brick veneer house - and be sure to use pitch or oil papers between the house or the brick and the rough lumber. Build so that it might be divided for a two-family, or four

to five bedrooms. This as we find may be built for twenty-six to thirty-six hundred dollars - such a home. For the properties themselves here - as we find berries, small berries; as raspberries, currants, loganberries, dewberries and the like - and grapes - and then chickens and the like - would not only make for a source of income for the body and those the closer associated with same, but within eighteen months to two years will almost produce more income than even the present associations and surroundings! In these connections, too, much must be taken into consideration. As we find, there is the assurance of the associations or connections as long as the present outlook of the activities is in accord with the present policies; that is, these associations may be kept, but there may be those desires for changes - and then these properties offer the investments not only such that the whole time might be given to such, and the study as has been indicated and the associations or connections with communications as related to the radio or communications of such natures, but would offer a home as well - and the prospects of greater returns for the outlay.

4. (Q) What price should I offer? (A) This should be much in keeping with that as is the general outlay - twenty-five to twenty-eight hundred dollars.

5. (Q) Through what contractor would you advise I build? (A) This of course should be rather as competitive; but as we find the considerations of Conrad would be very well. Make basements, though, for preservations, to be sure.

6. (Q) What advice regarding financing this proposition? (A) As we find this may be financed through the Home Owners or the Government Loans.

7. (Q) Would the Dr. Brooks' place be too big a proposition for me now? (A) Not unless there were others to be interested would we consider same; it would be too big a proposition. But in building a home it is not so much speculation as it is a settling for that which not only makes for an investment but a HOME - which carries with it all of those associations and influences that have little to do with speculation, see? And yet this property as indicated we find offers such opportunities, especially in the location, for such projects

as indicated, that we may find in two years the body considering the giving of its whole attention to such!

8. (Q) What are my immediate prospects with the Norfolk Southern? (A) As indicated, these are all good - but there may come changes. Hence considerations for not overstepping self so that if changes were to come you would have a liability rather than an asset. As we find this property used for these purposes as indicated would always be an asset.

9. (Q) Is it likely I shall make a change in the near future? (A) Not in the immediate, as we find.

10. (Q) At this time can you give me any advice how I can increase my income so that I can assist my parents more, and to enable me to get married whenever this should come about? (A) As we find if these properties are bought, or the investments made here, these offer the better possibility and prospects for an increase of the income - if they are handled in those directions as given - of any, when we consider the whole surroundings. For as given, we may find the properties themselves - within those periods indicated - making for a much greater income even than the salary with the Norfolk Southern.

11. (Q) What advice regarding selling my lots on 54th St., Va. Beach, Va? (A) In the spring, not now - in the spring, when there is the beginning of an influx of those that are prospective buyers or builders for speculation. However, these properties may be used, of course, as collateral for the preparation of the home. But do not encumber same in such way that they might not be easily disposed of.

12. (Q) Is there any person or persons connected or not connected with the Norfolk Southern that I should be careful of? (A) Not as we find, any that are in the present - though there have been words and questions and conditions, but conducting of self in the ways and manners and the policies as in the present, very well.

13. (Q) Am contemplating a short trip to New York next week. Am also contemplating a trip to Florida later. Any advice concerning the trip or trips? (A) Either or both of these as we find would be worth considering. Not only from future relationships, but even for those in the prospects of the contemplations for considerations of the home and the parents. Very well, then.

14. (Q) Please give me any other advice that may be helpful. (A) It would be well that each entity - as self,

considering here - ever look forward to that experience of building a home. The entity will experience (while do not entangle self from a financial angle) in the preparations, in the layout, and in the care for that as being contemplated, the greatest constructive force in the experience of the body that may ever be had. For HOME represents that of permanency, to the mind, to the body; in peace, in harmony, yet in doing good for goodness' sake - which brings within the experiences of all, when the speculative influence is left out - a home, a fireside; mother, father, home, family; that becomes as the overflowing blessings in many, many ways.
