Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va. (Body and enquiring mind, in regard to his mental and material affairs, especially the Taylor-Dawson property at Oceana, Va., on which he has an option expiring June 25th. Also you will have before you his lots on 54th St., Va. Beach, Va., which he had planned to sell in order to take up the option on the Taylor-Dawson property but has been unable to do so. Please review the situation and advise him what to do. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [416]; and those conditions relative to relationships with property, lots, and the activities respecting same.

2. As we find, in reviewing the situations:

3. It would be the more in keeping with conditions to renew the option for at least thirty to sixty days.

4. For the sale will be more in accord in the second or third week of July; and to sell lots now would be at a sacrifice as to that which may be obtained - as we find.

5. Well to hold option; for the land, the property, is in keeping with that as we find would be toward the best interests of the body, [416].

6. Ready for questions.

7. (Q) Please advise suitable location on property to build house. (A) On that portion towards the boulevard or town.

8. (Q) Are the set of plans I have in mind, the Abington house, suitable for my purpose? Are these too expensive? (A) With some little minor changes as to the cornice, as to the arrangements, these as we find would not be too expensive and would be in keeping with the property and for the use or purpose of same.

9. (Q) When should the house be started? (A) After what is termed the busy season but before the fall would be the better time; for then not only is there

416-12 Page 2

the better price to be obtained from organizations that have workmen, but the season or the period becomes a more economical and a better time; as in August or the first weeks of September.

10. (Q) What should it cost, including hot water heat? (A) This, to be sure, depends upon the finishings, the floors and the casements, the types of doors and the like; but as we find it should come near within $7,500 to $8,500, $9,500 dollars.

11. (Q) Should we have our own water system? If so, what make? (A) This is very plausible, but will not be as fully desirable except for the assistance in irrigations. As we find, this - though - can be made very worth while, using an electric pump; and as to the system, as we find the Delco would be the better.

12. (Q) How deep should the well be? (A) There are, as we find here, three strata that carry the water. The second is the best. This would be, then, something over two hundred (200) feet.

13. (Q) Is the water good for drinking? (A) Yes, this would be satisfactory - and would be a free water.

14. (Q) What size basement for the house? (A) This should be sufficient for storage as well as for the other purposes, the heating or the like. The basement may be made a most valuable portion of the building. While somewhat expensive, this is one portion in which there should not be too much curtailment.

15. (Q) What contractor could give me the best price and the best job? (A) This, as has been indicated, should be let to several; that is, prices to be made by several, you see. As we find, some of those that are associated in the vicinity - that is, Oceana as well as Conrad, and those in that same type.

16. (Q) Which of the following contractors would give me the best job? Miller & Miner, Conrad Bros., D. W. Gregory, Meredith Construction Co., B. Hoggard, or any others? (A) As has been indicated, Conrad would come the nearer to filling the full specifications; though as indicated Gregory will be very close.

17. (Q) Any advice concerning the financing of the house? (A) As we find, with the closing of the property, the paying of that on which the house itself is located and the like, the Home Loan offers the better proposition.

18. (Q) Is the whole thing in general too big a proposition for me? (A) We do not find it so.

19. (Q) Give any advice necessary to help me see the whole proposition through. (A) As has been indicated, as we find, from the first: Not only are there the monetary conditions to be considered but the comfort, the better surroundings, the local life, the greater activities in a social, in a business, in a general way and manner also are to be considered. As we find, with the whole situation as has been indicated - while the first year may appear to be rather a hardship, and some periods when there may appear too great a burden in same - after the first twelve to sixteen months we would find, with the considerations given to small fruits, chickens, flowers - not a great quantity but a moderate quantity of the truck gardening, and the like - there should be made sufficient to carry the whole situation. Thus not only may the tensions be eased but make for more satisfactions and better conditions for all; and this means activities for all associated or interested in developing such - the father, the mother, and the whole family - or activities for all of those associated in the family. Hence these naturally bring to the experience of self not only the greater satisfaction but the feelings of making life for others worth while; even though it becomes somewhat of a burden. Duties, obligations are not always to be hung onto a person, yet when these are as opportunities for SELF as well as for the associations, they are better.

20. (Q) Will management of the farm be too strenuous for my father? (A) Rather as we find, with the characterization of those things indicated, would be rather a helpful influence in his experience.

21. (Q) Please give an outline of the handling of the property in general; that is, what to plant, the quantity - what to start off with; advice concerning chickens, etc., and quantity. (A) As has been indicated, small fruits - and other fruits too, of course, later. Chickens, of course, should be the first consideration; for if these are kept in the proper way and manner these begin almost immediately to pay. The small

fruits, as strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, currants; also peaches, pears, plums, apples - all of these come necessarily in periods, or some take longer periods than others. For it takes the second year before most of these will bear, though some - of course will pay in the first season. However, most of these will require the second season before they become other than somewhat of an expense, rather than a return. But chickens - a flock of two hundred to four hundred and fifty - will make for a return within the first three to four months. [GD's note: He later moved his parents to live with him in another house already built, not one of the pieces of property mentioned.]

22. (Q) Regarding my present job, when will changes be made at this Norfolk-Southern station and how will they affect me? (A) As we find, as has been indicated, these depend upon what the body is willing to accept. There will not be changes, unless there are some other conditions arising not indicated in the connection, before another eighteen to nineteen months to two years in this particular surrounding; though there is indicated - as a general condition, after the eighteen months - that there will be something of an opportunity for the body to change; though it would not make for a hardship to the whole proposition nor to self.

23. (Q) Is it likely that the Norfolk-Southern stock will go lower? Advise if it would be a good investment to buy the stock now and hold. (A) We would not invest in the present. When there is the closer affiliation of the Southern's activities with the Pennsylvania lines, or a more definite coalition in the activities - because, of course, the greater part is held already, but when there is a more active coalition - when it would be a good investment.

24. (Q) Is there any advice concerning my physical condition? [See 416-6.] (A) This, as we find in the present, is very good. There needs to be those precautions from time to time as have been indicated, as respecting the vision, the activities in the open. The general conditions as to precautions. These as we find are those necessary things to be considered by the body.

25. (Q) What causes and what should be done for the skin irritation, also the itching in ears? (A) A low electrical vibration would be helpful for this - such as from the Violet Ray. There is a tendency for not exactly an eczema but an inclination in the direction.

416-12 Page 5

Leave off too much of the carbonated waters, and drinks with same. Use the Violet Ray about every other evening over the upper portion of the shoulders, the neck, the head; and we will find these conditions improving.

26. (Q) Is my Radio-Active Appliance still good? (A) Only needs some little overhauling. But this electrical vibration as indicated is the Violet Ray that is needed, as well as the Radio-Active Appliance. This is the high vibration, while the Radio-Active is the vibratory force of the body set to work for making a more perfect circulation. The Violet Ray is the current carried directly into the system and is a destructive vibration, while the Radio-Active vibration is constructive. These do not work in opposition to one another, but work on different portions of the system. The Ultra-Violet or the Violet Ray works upon the superficial circulation, while the low electrical vibration of the Radio-Active Appliance is an active principle with the deeper circulation - though it is taken in through the superficial.

27. (Q) Any other advice? (A) As has been indicated, keep constructive thought; keep optimistic; and know that as long as Right - and not Might - is kept as the ideal or the principle, the opportunities, the influences and the forces are ever constructive in the experience of the body.
