Time of Reading 4:40 to 5:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tennessee. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [418].

2. Now, as we find, there are specific conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body. And with the effects of these disturbances there are other distresses at times, more or less of a varied nature.

3. These, as we find, deal with the circulation, the inability of proper digestion, hindrances in the activity of the hepatic circulation, and the specific condition in the pulmonaries and their activity.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [418] we are speaking of:

5. The BLOOD SUPPLY shows a disturbance in the clarification of the blood stream, the weakness and the lack of the proper numbers of the red blood cells, with a deficiency in the leukocyte in the white blood of the body.

6. As to the NERVE SYSTEM, with the manner in which these conditions have been met in producing or forcing rest in the body, there is the tendency of a relaxed body. But the deficiency in resistance in the vitality of the system produces a tendency for the body to become, in a manner, hysterical as to its condition. And the general environs make for this tendency also.

7. In the ORGANS of the body there is the tendency for less fats in the system, and the irritation in the throat and bronchi is of such nature - not only from the coughing that comes at spasmodic times from cold or congestion, but from the breaking of cellular forces in the lungs themselves - as to make for irritations to the whole system; and draws upon the vitality through the great amount of the plasm in the lymph circulation that is required (through these irritations) for the production of temperature in the system.

8. We find in the lungs proper the indications of spots

418-1 Page 2

where the tubercle has become imbedded in the tissue itself, and where some has closed; yet these continue to be more or less active in the reduction of the vitality of the system. And, as there is a lack of the leucocyte to combat these or to encircle these, THIS draws upon the system and produces irritation.

9. The digestive system we find weak, and there is a lack of sufficient amount of digestive fluids to create vital forces for the resistance in the system.

10. These, then, tend to make a slowness or coldness in the liver activity. Hence we have at times periods when there is the suffering from constipation, and at others there is easily produced an irritation that tends to make too great an activity of the muco-membrane activity without digestive forces being carried on properly; throwing a burden at such times upon the kidneys.

11. The general condition, then, is in the stages of inflammation produced by the disturbances that we have indicated in the body.

12. In meeting the needs of the conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [418] we are speaking of, we would continue for the time much of the same manner of rest for the body.

13. We would change very much the manner of administrations for the body.

14. We would keep more air, or more in the open air, for the rest periods of the body. Not so much that the currents of air blow upon the body, but that there is sufficient of the normal oxygens for the system.

15. Also we would obtain the animated or carbon ash in quarter grain quantities. Divide each quarter grain quantity into four doses, see? and take two doses in one day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening (which would make one-eighth grain to be taken during one day, see?).

16. After the evening dose of the ash, give a treatment with the violet ray over the area of the lungs; as in the portion across and just below the shoulder points, see, for about three to five minutes.

17. We would also inhale the gas formation from pure apple brandy. Do not take the brandy internally, but: Put a half to a gallon of the apple brandy in at least a gallon and a half or two gallon charred container, letting the container sit near fire or heat in such a manner that the gas may form or that there may be evaporation (not boiling it or anything of the kind, but just keep it in a warm place where the evaporation may take place in the container). The fumes

418-1 Page 3

that form from such in the keg container should be INHALED INTO THE LUNGS much in the manner as cigarette smoke is inhaled. In the beginning one or two inhalations would be sufficient, for more than that would produce a tendency for strangulation or irritation such as to produce coughing, see? but use this once or twice each day.

18. Also we would begin with taking all the olive oil the body will assimilate, in VERY small doses. A quarter of a teaspoonful three or four times each day will be much better than a spoonful once or even twice a day, see?

19. The body needs to ASSIMILATE same, so that the gastric forces of the stomach, the digestive system, the muco-membranes of the throat and all, are in accord with such vibrations as this character of oil produces for the digestive system.

20. Prepare also an inhalant in this manner: To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, add: Eucalyptol.....................20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...........5 minims, Tincture of Benzoin............10 minims, Rectified Creosote..............3 minims, Tolu in solution...............30 minims, Codeine (mashed up, so that it may be dissolved in the solution).............1/60 grain. Keep this in a container at least a six to an eight ounce container, that may be well corked, especially - or preferably - with a glass cork.

21. When ready to be inhaled in the nostril and in or through the throat or in the mouth, shake the solution before removing the cork; then inhale deep into the lungs once or twice, just the fumes that come off of same, through the nostrils, for the muco-membranes.

22. These ingredients are only antiseptic in their activity, see?

23. As to the matter of diet: Take all the fats the body will assimilate, and especially beef juice and the fats as from cereals; and grapefruit (more than oranges), grapefruit juices, and such like.

24. Vegetables should be taken too, but should be more of the leafy than the bulbular or tuberous nature.

25. Take all the milk that the body can well assimilate.

26. This means, of course, that all these foods should be taken rather often but small quantities at the time.

27. Do this, and we will find in three to four months an elimination of all these distressing conditions in the body

418-1 Page 4

at the present.

28. When the body begins to show improvement, it would be well that a massage be given of a neuropathic nature; that is, begin at the tip of the fingers and work towards the body, see, down to the waist, massaging or following the nerves all along. Then begin at the tip of the toes and work towards the central portion of the body, see? Then in the front portion of the body, or massaging the stomach and abdomen, portions of the torso itself; begin at the CENTRAL portion and work towards the ends or towards the extremities of the body, see? This is to change the circulation as in relation to those portions from which the impulses arise along the cerebrospinal system, and the return circulation as from central portion of the body to the extremities.

29. It should require from thirty to forty minutes to give such a treatment, though these should not begin until two or three weeks after the whole treatment here outlined is begun.

30. Do these, and we will eliminate the conditions.

31. Ready for questions.

32. (Q) For how long a period should the same amount of rest be taken that is being taken now? (A) For three to four weeks longer. Then do not be in the night air, but walk - slowly; rest in the sun and in the air a great deal. The violet ray, as given, is to be used for three to five minutes after the second dose of the ash is taken each day. Of course, the diet should be changed or altered; as should be the milk with the egg, and at times there may be added a little stimulant of spirits frumenti to the egg and milk. There should be a constant feeding, almost; but do not overload the system at any one time. Just every hour feed it something!

33. We are through for the present. Copy to her sister " " File (DIRECTIONS FOR MAKING PURE BEEF JUICE Put small chunks raw beef in covered fruit jar. Put jar inside pan of water (water coming to about half the depth of jar). Boil until chunks of beef are thoroughly done. Strain. Keep juice in cool place.

Take often in small doses, teaspoonful to tablespoonful, diluted with water or as a broth. GD.] [Animated carbon ash may be obtained from B. H. Bradley [now deceased] 5443 Maryland Ave., Chicago, Ill. It comes in little vials at $1.00 each containing several capsules. Ask for quarter grain capsules. Take in the manner directed in reading, putting the dose on tongue (in powder form, not in capsule) and wash down with water. A violet ray machine may be obtained at most any drug or electrical supply house. Get the two inhalents prepared by druggist, or anyone knowing how.)
