Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tenn. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, Mrs. [418]; this we have had before.
2. As we find, the conditions show an improvement and much nearer the normal aspects of reactions through the system. While the activative forces from the conditions that have caused distress through the lung are not entirely encased, they are not active; and the weakened condition is the result rather of the depleted system and the inability heretofore for the body to build resistance in the system.
3. We would begin now with more activity; not that the body should begin with heavy labors or even with the whole household duties, but rather that there should be more active forces of the physical body to assist in giving more strength, vitality and resistance throughout the system, by the active forces of the external system working with the internal system and internal organism.
4. We would keep much of that which has been outlined for the body.
5. Rest often, and be most mindful that the body is not exposed in night air; but plenty of fresh air at all times in the room or about the body.
6. Be mindful that the feet do not get damp or are not excessively cold. Be well that two or three times each week the lower limbs and feet be heated or massaged in a little higher temperature than tepid of the weak coffee solution or allow coffee grounds to be used - as an accumulation, though do not use SOURED grounds, for these will be harmful, but the coffee grounds; the liquid or the coffee fluid off of same, which carries with it an acid that is helpful to the extremities and should be massaged thoroughly into the knees, calves of legs, the feet, and especially the burses of the feet. This hot, or a good deal warmer that tepid; about two or three times each week.
7. The diet should be kept a well balanced diet, more
418-2 Page 2
alkalin than acid. That which builds much of the resistances for the system, and that will enable the blood supply to be well balanced in red blood plasm for the coagulation's influence in system.
8. Keep the eliminations through the alimentary canal well active, that there is no clogging or choking with kidneys or liver, and we will find the body will continue on the improve.
9. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) What causes her temperature to vary from 96 to 99 and sometimes a little past that? (A) Natural condition from the circulation attempting to adjust itself. A subnormal temperature, to be sure, is as bad as an abnormal one - or worse - with such conditions. The variations for this body should not be, and are not, an alarming condition; provided they do not go below 96 or much above 99 1/2.
11. (Q) Why can she not rest as well on her left side? (A) Natural conditions. For, THERE the tubercle has advanced farther. Don't PRESS the issue, but encase or so build the system as to choke out and to prevent the activity of the reactions from the lung area.
12. (Q) What should be done for the redness and itching caused by the violet ray machine? (A) This is not harmful, and should be not used so severe, but keep on using it on the portions of the body as indicated. Keep up all the treatments as outlined. Not as rote, but seeing the conditions being aided, helped, in the body.
13. (Q) What causes her to be so constipated? (A) Character of food and non-activity of the body. Use high enemas, and not so much of the acid foods, and we will find this will be improved. It would be well to use all the olive oil that the body can assimilate, which means taking it in VERY small doses; quarter of a teaspoonful every two or three hours.
14. (Q) Please tell a few things she could eat that would be best for her. (A) Best to study an alkalin diet.
15. That is all the questions regarding this body.
16. An alkalin diet that is especially adaptable for a respiratory disturbance. Means, then, that the properties of alcoholic content created in the system are of such natures that there is the PROPER activity to produce

digestion. Or, it may be outlined as this, though it would be much prefer able for the body and the attendants to STUDY the case, study diet, study that which would be helpful:
17. Mornings - orange juice, lemon juice, grapefruit juice. These may be taken combined or they may be taken separately, see? Do not take them when cereals are taken that milk is eaten with, though they may be altered - and cereals of the whole wheat character, cooked cereals, eaten, and plenty of milk eaten with same. A little tea or Ovaltine may be taken at the same time that either the grapefruit or the citrus fruit juices are taken or the cereal. DO NOT take citrus fruit juices AND cereals at the same meal! Whole wheat toast, coddled eggs, little bacon, any or all of these may be taken; or stewed fruits, or baked apple, or the like. Any of these may be taken for the morning meal.
18. In between the morning meal (and eat it early; don't lay in bed till nine, ten or eleven o'clock and then expect to eat in between that and twelve, but eat it early!) and the noon meal, or at ten o,clock, take dried milk with raw egg stirred in well, or a few drops or a teaspoonful of spirits frumenti (that's about 95 or 90 proof) may be added to a whole glassful taken.
19. Noons - beef juices or broths, but do not take the broths of beef AND beef juice - for they don't work very well together. Take the beef JUICE preferably. Stewed fruits and oaten cereals may be taken at the noon meal. While the oaten cereals tend to be acid in their reaction, unless there is plenty of fruit juices taken in the evening meal or period, the whole wheat cooked cereals - and any of those that employ or use the whole of the wheat, including the bran - may be used and are alkalin in their reaction.
20. About three or four o'clock in the afternoon, take BEER - with egg in same! Beat well into the activity.
21. Evenings - before retiring - take vegetables, WELL cooked.
22. We are through with this reading. Copy to Self " " File " " Miss [243] (Miss [243] can explain to you about the alkalin diet, and also the way to properly prepare beef juice. GD)
