Time of Reading 12:40 to 1:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J. (Body and enquiring mind, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to his best mental and material welfare. Questions.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [419]; this we have had before, regarding special conditions.

2. In giving that which may be helpful in analyzing the conditions in the physical and the mental and the material associations of the body in the present, it would be well that the approach be made from EVERY angle.

3. As indicated from that given respecting the body-mind and soul development of the entity in the material things throughout the experiences of the entity in the earth, these dealings have been in those fields of activity wherein they may be said to be very precarious; very precautious fields having been the actions and the associations of the body, these in fields that pertain to changes or developments in specific directions as to the relationships of man and his activity into those things more or less of the scientific yet dealing with the emotions and the mental attitudes and aptitudes of individual activity - yet AFFECTING groups and the masses. Also those relationships wherein that the effective activity in the present would, should, require the analyzing of the motivating forces of the body in its relationships to things and conditions, as well as to individuals; the emotions and the activities in those things pertaining to the relationships of applications of emotional natures that may be made as an application to the physical welfare of individuals.

4. Thus we see that the surroundings and environs of the body in the present are in keeping with those things that will make for the abilities not only of the body to find in its associations and activities the contentment and the pleasures that come from being able to be a channel of help to others, but - along with the gratifying and satisfying of the seeking of the body-physical - bring also with same

remunerations, and the associations in varied fields of activity where the entity's abilities and activities will make for the more satisfactory conditions.

5. As we find, then, in the present associations, in the present surroundings, there is presented rather the opportunity whereunto the body, the entity, the soul forces, may minister in such ways, measures and manners that may not only bring material remuneration for the physical activities and associations of the body but will make for a mental, physical, material and spiritual development that should be MOST satisfying.

6. It will also be seen that in these relationships those tends or bents that are expressed in the artistic temperament of the entity itself will find a corresponding relationship with those whom the entity contacts, that will be through such channels wherein the entity may make the farther strides in its mental, its social, and its material activities and relations. Those who are especially gifted in the fields of architectureal art, or art pertaining to the relationships between what people think and what may be expressed in the comic strips that make for the entertainment to individuals. In such relationships we find that not only the opportunity comes, but that THROUGH such associations will come the advancements in the material things, making for activities that will bring the greater development in the mental, material and soul forces of this entity in its present environs.

7. Also there will be the development in those fields of activity pertaining to the relationships and actions necessary for the application of things to the body-functionings of individuals.

8. As to the associations in the more material things, that deal with the emotions of the body and those associations that will make for the establishing of the home relationships in the experiences of the body, these must be taken into consideration with those things in which the body finds its activities, its ideas, its desires, its aspirations. The relations that have been established with the one who has filled these portions in the mind of the body itself have been well, and they are stepping-stones to those things whereunto there may be called into existence those relationships that will bring for the body - and for its greater relationships with the material things - the most satisfactory conditions and circumstances for the greater mental and soul development.

9. All these, then, should be taken into consideration. Not that the entity should be resting upon the laurels whereunto

419-4 Page 3

the body has been called, but using all the environs, all the associations in the present as the stepping-stones, we will find that these things - with work, yes; labor, yes; with even denials of self and of self's own desires in many ways - will build so that not only the mental and material things of the body may be supplied in such measures as to make for the developments in all the relationships, but there will be offered an opportunity for the use of these in the more spiritual things whereunto there may be the adding to the experiences of individuals in such measures, in such ways and manners and means, as to bring in their experience those things that partake of the spiritual forces of a body also.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Is the work which I am now doing, in connection with The [[438] Health] Service, in keeping with that which I should make my life's work? (A) As we have found and indicated, from the analyzing of those things that have been presented in this connection, through these channels and associations there is offered the opportunity for the greater expansion in the abilities of self to be of service to the fellow man; also the greater opportunity for the expansion in those relationships of individuals in such measures and manners as to bring contentment. To be sure, in the present there appears to be the necessity of making sacrifices; not only in the relationships with individuals but with surroundings. But, as we find, these only lend the very opportunity for the self to become more absorbed in the greater opportunity and chance for application of the abilities in self. Through these channels there is offered the opportunity to make self, as it were, one indispensable in the experiences of individuals whom the entity may contact in these environs. Yes, it is in keeping with that which WE find would make for the greater opportunities to apply self as a life's work in these directions.

12. (Q) How can I better fit myself for the opportunities that present themselves through this association? (A) By applying not only the mental and material things but also the deeper things. Not to become goody-goody, no. Not to become one as a Quaker or Shaker; neither be one that is a jerker, nor a shirker; but one that would apply self in the mental, in the material, and in the SPIRITUAL opportunities - as presenting to each individual. For when there are those applications by those that would heal the bodies, who would make the outlook upon life the greater in

419-4 Page 4

those directions where there might be more comfort and more ease, unless the basis for those things is in the spiritual, they must - as ever - become as naught. But apply self in such a way that each life contacted is not only better, but desires within itself to apply self for a greater service to its fellow man, that its presentations and appreciations of life itself may be the better manifested and applied in its activities throughout the earth. In these channels, and in this way, may the entity apply self; studying all phases of those things that may be applied to the physical, the mental and - most necessary of all the SPIRITUAL; for the spiritual foods are necessary. Not only being good (and apply same in individuals' lives) but good FOR SOMETHING!

13. (Q) Please advise me as to my proper relationship with [Miss [24]]. Should our relationship be continued, for the best development of each, or just what should we do in regard to same? (A) As we have indicated from those things that have been presented in analyzing the promptings of the activities of the mental forces and the physical body of an individual, the environs are in a changed circumstance, changed activity; yet these relationships should be in such measures that they are not only maintained but carried on to the fulfilling of the purposes in the lives of each, in establishing same not only for themselves but - first and foremost - for that which each may be able to do in the lives and the experiences of others. Not for self should ever be the thought of the relationships of man and woman in their activities in a material world, but that through their concerted effort - in those things that pertain to the mental, the material and the spiritual forces, and their contacts in the earth each soul contacted may be made the better by that relationship and that association. THUS do those that are called into service through such relationships become not just "hit or miss" in their relationships, but as an OBJECTIVE life in their relationships. And they should be kept then, in this particular instance, in such ways and measures, in such manners, that they each may study to show themselves first approved unto their Maker, in such ways and manners as to keep the relationships ever on the constructive path towards the mark of the higher calling that is set in man as to his relationships with his Maker and with his fellow man.

14. (Q) Any other advice that the body should have at this time, that will be of help?

419-4 Page 5

(A) Be not impatient, but work and pray, work and think - and not only of self, but as to how that self may be of a greater help and aid to its fellow man in all phases and activities that may present themselves through these varied relationships that are brought about by the present environs. Do that.
