1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [421] - this we have had before. Many are the changes in the general physical conditions of the body since last we had same here. Some are for the betterment. Some are not so good.

2. These are the conditions, then, as we find them at present with this body:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find low in vitality, for there is the lack of an equal or a COORDINATIVE balance in the vitamins for the body itself. This condition, then, becoming so low, it has reduced the ability of the system to create sufficient of the character of leukocyte as is destructive to those foreign forces or substances that may attack vital forces within the soft tissue itself. Hence the condition as has arisen in the blood stream, in the pulmonary forces of body itself - even in the clarification of the lung forces themselves, which produces - or produced - temperature, and a low resistance, takes of the strength and the vital forces of the system, producing irritation in the bronchi and larynx, and a tendency of irritation throughout the LYMPH forces of the lung and pulmonary system's circulation, from the nasal cavities to the upper portion of the left lung - lower portions of the right lung - which become involved the most in this condition. At PRESENT well warded off, and NOT over active.

4. In MEETING the needs of the conditions, then -

5. We would have REST, physically, of the body. Well were the body to keep abed most of the time for the first three to seven weeks, see? and that there be plenty of circulation of air THROUGHOUT the room. Let those vapors from creosote and pine (oil of pine) be boiled at least twice to three times each day in the room, so that the vapors from same are breathed INTO the lungs themselves.

6. The MOST to be mindful of is the diet, and that the eliminations and the evacuations of the system are kept in an even balance; so that, that assimilated is of new or of

421-2 Page 2

vital forces for the body.

7. The diet should be:

8. Whole wheat breads; never white bread. Preferably those that are BROWNED. Corn bread, or scalded corn pone would be well - if WELL cooked, but NOT raw! The egg - whole egg - at least once each day, in malt - or in milk AND malt. These are aiding to the whole system. All the milk the body may drink. Calves' liver at least twice each week. Those of hog tripe or beef tripe at least ONCE each week. Fish only occasionally, and then no shell fish - but those preferably that are of the deep sea fish. These are the better, when taken. No hog meats of ANY character. The JUICES of beef, but not as broths. Those of beets, lentils, turnips, carrots, spinach, salsify, and such, are well in the tuberous and the leaf vegetables. No cabbage, no peas in the pod, no beans or any of those in the pod; though potatoes may be taken, provided they are of the size or the character where more of the jacket is taken than the pulp itself - no matter whether the yam or the white potato is used.

9. In the matter of medications - those properties in the inhalant that has been given, [through these sources - as in 538-18?] for the activities of both the nasal forces and the lungs or larynx. These should be inhaled deep into the lungs, both through the mouth and through the nasal forces - and will prove most beneficial. These are antiseptics, NOT curatives. Hence the circulatory system will throw off in the whole of the system, and the alimentary canal must be kept active. Do not let the conditions turn either on the liver or the kidneys - for these are the organs to be most mindful of when there is a thinning of the blood supply. Remember, the blood must go twice through the liver AND the kidneys before the rest of the system is supplied. So, the alimentary canal should be active in a manner - not as to DRAIN the system, but so that the liver and the kidneys are kept on an even balance. The INHALANT is an ACTIVE force for BOTH of these.

10. In the matter of eliminations - naturally, from phlegm or from ashes of a used system, there tends to be an acid condition, so that an alternation between those in this nature will be found most beneficial:

11. At least once or twice each week we would take those properties of elm - ground elm; a pinch in a glass of water.

12. Use these as the eliminants for the system:

13. One day take a tablespoonful of Milk of Magnesia. The next day take a tablespoonful of Milk of Bismuth. The next day take three to five drops of Glyco-Thymoline in half a

glass of water. The next day take ANY mild cathartic. See? Then we will have had the round of at least a week, see? so that the system does not become subject, as it were, or adjusting itself to a one condition. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) Should any citrus fruit be taken? (A) Be well that one meal be made of same each day. This may be as a sample, though it may be often changed to meet the needs through these various conditions we have outlined: Mornings - an alternation between oranges, lemons and grapefruit, with a DRY cereal. Whatever cereal is used should be the whole, whether of rolled oats, rolled wheat, rye, or what. Either those that have been bloated, or those that are dry. ONE cereal. Alternate same. In the middle of the day we would use those meat juices, with one or two of the vegetables, see? In the evening - those either of the liver, the tripe, or of pig knuckle, or such. These that carry the GLUCOSE, that make for a change in the blood supply, that aid to build up. The egg, of course, is taken in between. Stuff, as it were, as if stuffing a turkey! See?

15. (Q) Should sugar be used on cereal? (A) Sugar may be used in moderation on cereal, unless there is found that same causes irritation to the kidneys.
