Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.

1. HLC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [430], present in this room, who seeks mental and material guidance regarding his affairs. He states: "I have followed the advice given in my last rdg. to the best of my ability, and I seek counsel and guidance for my further best development mentally, spiritually and materially." You will answer the questions that may be asked.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [430], with the information that has been given the body respecting his activities in the material conditions; with those efforts on the part of the body as respecting that information. And these would commend the body in the efforts that have been made. Only a word respecting the purposes in the inmost self regarding same:

3. Study in each act, each association, to show self approved unto the Giver of all good and perfect gifts, rightly divining the words of truth. And be not fainthearted because there appear at times disquieting conditions. For, the tempter is ever nigh, and there needs be only that reassurance ever in His promises that, he that is faithful will receive the crown of life. Not merely in a contentive manner, but in those conditions also that will bring for the body the necessities of life and also the blessings that come with any endeavor well spent. For, not he that fails is condemned but he that faints with the failing and strives not to set self aright with those influences that control the activities in a material world - if individuals will acknowledge and conduct their activities, their lives, in accordance with those commands, those promises, and demand in self that there be the fulfillment according to the activities in self.

4. Ready for questions.

5. (Q) For my best spiritual and mental development, should I seek to build toward the development mentioned in my Life Reading in the Company I am in at present, or seek other connections? (A) As has ever been given, use that thou hast in hand as the steppingstone towards that which would be accomplished in thine experience. Hence, as we would give, in the present environs, the present surroundings, USE those connections, those associations, in such a way and manner; making self so valuable to the connections as to DEMAND recognition for the efforts that are expended in what may be termed in the present as a very meagre, a very low step to the greater things; so gathering for those with whom the body labors that necessary information and attitude that will make for a better way of handling those situations that arise in the experience of the body day by day. In so doing will the present associations take on new meanings. Try OUT in self something varied in the experience, in the manners of the connections, in the manners of deliveries here, of connections there, that will make for a more economical way, a more practical manner in handling, in meeting the conditions in the present. And this will lead to the abilities to be recognized, lead to new associations in the fields of activity that will be towards that which may be accomplished the greater. As the body fits self MENTALLY to meet the needs of PRESENT associations, so does it make for the steps necessary for advancement into the fields of activity that have been designated. Keep ever before self that ideal way, that purpose, that aim. Not in a selfish manner, but that the service rendered in all such associations may be the better tendered in the connections with such activities.

6. (Q) Would you suggest any special studies, etc.? (A) Manners and means in all those activities in which the body is engaged at present, for a more active manner of conducting such affairs. They may be done with more expedience, with less red tape, with better service to all. For, in any activity, in any experience in associations with individuals, the keynote to every such connection is a service to those to whom the activities are directed. The, plan in self's own mental abilities the manners in which the conditions or the work in hand may be expedited with less loss of time, less strain in all the fields of association and connections. And these will broaden the vision of the body, and make for greater contentment in the connections and associations.

7. (Q) Please explain the following: "Not in the first choosing or in the last choosing but rather that as makes for relationships with things and the gathering of data." (A) Not in those things that pertain to the menial service that may be rendered in the character of associations in the first connections and activities, but the breadth of vision that comes with application of self to the activities as they are carried on. Better manners and means; better ways of keeping the accounting of a delivery here, of the keeping of appointment there, in the keeping of the connections and associations and the ways and manners these may be tabulated for further references. In these activities will the body make for the capacities to be expanded in the field in which the trend and the bent of the development throughout the ages has been for the entity.

8. (Q) Will circumstances be such to enable my wife [451] to devote her entire time to our home? (A) They will. Be patient. Know she also has her own life to live, and make then thine own activities and her activities COOPERATE in being of a greater service to one another. These will make for the abilities in self, the satisfaction in self, knowing that there is being builded that which will bring to the experience of each that which is SOUL development. [See wife's rdg. 451-3, Par. 13-A on 11/21/33 clarifying above.]

9. (Q) Will a change in residence be advisable? (A) Eventually; not in the present.

10. (Q) What effects have these been on hair and scalp due to treatments taken? (A) These have been aided materially, and we would keep along those lines that have been followed for the better activities as related to the physical self. Not only the applications, but also the activity to supply the necessary elements for creating the proper balance within the material body.

11. (Q) Please give me such other guidance and advice as may be helpful to me at this time. (A) As indicated, the activities of the body are commended. Be patient with self. Be patient with the surroundings. For, in patience does one find himself and become conscious of the development of the soul's activities within the own self. Hence, keep the faith. Be patient. Be gentle. Be kind. Be longsuffering. For, these are the fruits of the spirit, and these will conceive - in self's own giving out - to such an extent as to commend in the life such activities as to make self known more and more; be needed, be in demand, in

this, that and the other place. So does one build within self that personality that is at such a high demand in the affairs of men today. But with the building, give the credit to the influence within the inner self, and not to self alone - but to thine Maker. For, "Day unto day uttereth speech and night unto night sheweth knowledge." The meditating in the conditions of, "What greater service may I be here and there, in all the associations?" Whether in the affairs, in the office, in the home, on the street, so live that those viewing thy life may know ye walk oft with the man of Galilee!
