Time of Reading 11:15 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [433] - this we have had before. In many respects we find the physical conditions are, and have been, on the improve. Those applications that have been made for the corrections of the conditions are very well, and will the BODY follow those suggestions as have been made under the care of the present one administering TO the needs, these - as we find - would bring about a proper condition without any changes, and without the NECESSITY of operative measures.

2. The body should be very mindful of the diet, that there are little or no CONDIMENTS that will add to the overacidity of the system; and beware of too much sweets or sugars, for these produce fermentation easily in an already TENDENCY of too quick fermentation, and where there is the tendency for lacerations in the duodenum and INFLAMMATION in portions of the system.

3. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) What is the disturbance in my abdomen? (A) Lacerations in the duodenum, by the effect of too much acidity in the system tending to produce, when same is or becomes excited by inflammation either from the foods taken or an over amount of gastric juices, regurgitating into the portion of the system, carrying an over abundant supply of hydrochloric.

5. (Q) What causes gastric pains around back and heart? (A) With the overflowing in the duodenum of these specific conditions as given, there comes then those spasmodic reactions in the nerve plexus as govern the movement of the peristaltic forces in the system, and the gastric forces - or the muco-membranes of the intestinal system - bring about that spasmodic reaction as makes for intense pain in the region of the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, that is reflex - not heart's action, see? Though the pain, naturally, coming through those plexus, is in that region,

433-4 Page 2

but is more either of a DEEPER, or of reflex intercostal in its nature.

6. (Q) What would be the proper diet for me? (A) As we would find, it would be well that the juices of fruits be taken, or the citrous fruit diet; preferably, however, those of grape juices and grapefruit juices, and those of lemon, than too much of the orange, though these may be mixed at times WITH the grapefruit juices or with the grape juice FOR the palatability of this as a beverage, or as a drink. These of mornings. Alternate these occasionally with stewed rhubarb, prunes and prune juices, figs - that are stewed, not in sugar, but dry figs stewed. Noon meals should consist principally of an all green salad - green vegetables, see? Dressings or oils may be used with this; or the meal may be changed or altered at times to juices of vegetables, rather than of meats, for the juices of vegetables will not produce the acid or gases - when oftentimes meats would. Evenings - a well balanced meal may be taken, provided the vegetables that grow above the ground are taken rather than those that grow under the ground. See? Hence we will find that these will be sustaining in the vitamins necessary, yet will PREVENT the body from increasing in weight. When bread IS taken, it should be preferably that of the Graham or whole wheat, or such cakes as are prepared by the Scandinavian or Danish way - as the very hard or crisp cakes.

7. (Q) How can I take off some weight? (A) By the diet, and by the proper exercises. These have been outlined for the body.

8. (Q) Will the other doctor I contemplate going to be able to give me proper treatments to cure my condition? (A) As suggested, if we will FOLLOW that that has been outlined it would be better than the change, as we find - unless these are changed entirely and to go to such a one as Daley! [Daly?] He will be found in Brooklyn, or Long Island also!

9. (Q) What else shall I do to put myself in a normal healthy condition? (A) Follow these lines as have been suggested, and we will find that the body - with some persistence, and being CONSISTENT with self - will be on the improve! Do not feel or think that the body can break over, take too much meats or too much strong drink, too much of any of those that produce irritations, and not suffer the results or

433-4 Page 3

consequences of same! BE persistent and consistent for at least a period sufficient to have the system adjust itself to the RENEWED conditions - see? It will be effectual also, will the body take INTERNALLY small quantities of Atomidine occasionally - not over three to five drops, and this - as we find - would be preferably taken one dose every two or three days - see? The tendency of this in this quantity (this preferably would be taken in the middle of the afternoon) would be to produce, taken at this time, with the gastric juices of the stomach that which, when it enters the duodenum, those fluids that will be HEALING TO the system - see? Hence REDUCING that tendency of pressure and fullness. Do not take same too often, or do not take in a large dose. Two to three times a week would be sufficient.
