Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:20 P.M. Eastern Standard Time New York City. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [440].

2. Now, as we find, the conditions that disturb the better physical functioning of the body are those of which the body should be warned, rather than as such a great disturbance in the present as to incapacitate activity either physically or mentally. Yet these conditions, if allowed to remain without specific changes being brought about, must eventually lead to disturbances that would either become of a specific nature or constitutional conditions that would be of disturbances for a longer period, or affect the efficiency of the physical abilities of the body more or less permanently.

3. These as we find that disturb the system are those that have to do with the assimilations for the body, and the effects the disturbances in this manner have upon the general system; affecting, as will be seen, various portions of the body in varied manners.

4. While there have been ministrations for the body of the nature that have been effective, but these have raised the vibrations in the system without correcting the elements that cause the production of the vibrations that are to be raised in the body. Hence they become effective for a time and then there are lapses where the disturbance is of as great a nature as in the periods when the nervous reactions have made for rather a breakdown in some directions.

5. These, then, are the conditions physically as we find with this body, [440] we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. As to the BLOOD SUPPLY, we find that the metabolism and katabolism both are disturbed. We find in the hemoglobin a urea that does not make for a perfect coagulation. This is produced from two causes. The assimilations of the body have been such that the division of the elements in the body itself is not such as to allow the resistances to be builded

440-2 Page 2

for a high nervous tension that naturally exists in the physical and mental and spiritual make-up of the body. Hence the conditions, as we will find, are individual to the body.

7. In this distribution of the forces in the system, there is LACKING sufficient of the calciums for the body. Hence the coagulation in bone structure, where fractures have existed in the body (as in a condition in the side here) [Rib fracture], has not made for recuperative forces and has allowed rather the accumulations of those forces such as to make a cartilaginous reaction rather than that acted upon by the glands that make for the division that is absorbable by the activity of the blood supply in its flow through portions of the body where the necessity of the rebuilding is in such; and in removal makes for permanency in its activity. And hence the raising of the vibrations in the activity of the blood supply, and raising the vital energies in the system, tends towards becoming destructive to such influences. Hence we have the two reasons for a poor circulation, as disturbed by the katabolism. The diffused reaction in the heart, which makes for an irregular pulsation, showing a disturbance in the metabolism of the system; yet no organic heart trouble is indicated. More of an indication to the pulmonary reactions, to the circulation through the aorta artery, than through the system as related to the division of circulation between the hepatics and the venous AND arterial between the lungs, the heart AND the liver. Hence the inability of resistances to be rebuilded without taking more of the energies of the body than should be.

8. As to the NERVOUS SYSTEMS of the body, these are very good when we consider the general condition that has existed in the body. There is the ability of the body to control its wishes and its desires.

9. It would be very good here to stop and consider the difference between a wish and a desire. They are quite different, because they affect the body-physical in quite a different way and manner. A desire arises from that which has been created, that may be called a fault or a virtue; while a wish may arise wholly and solely from material things that are influenced by the environs of the entity - while desire may arise from any of the environs of the entity, rather than of a body alone.

10. The abilities in this direction, to control self, have been and are EFFECTIVE to the better interests, the better abilities to manifest that which IS builded as desire in ANY form or manner within the body.

440-2 Page 3

11. Hence, as an illustration:

12. The body (physical and mental) may be said to be able to control its desires; hence would not become subject to those things that are ordinarily termed as faults, in the way of activity or in controlling appetite in any direction. For, if the body felt any activity were necessary as related to the physical or mental, other things would have little or no influence upon the body - whether in eats, physical activities or what not, other than to do that which he wished to do - wished to do, and desired within self to bring about as activity in the body!

13. In the nervous reactions then, we find, only when there is the CYCLE of reaction from the nerve system, from either builded influences to organic functioning or to conditions that have existed in the body as elements or influences to the detriment to the better physical functioning, do they BREAK DOWN - as it were - and the body then has those periods of recuperative forces to be builded back into the system. Hence we have AT PERIODS certain centers along the spine where there is tenderness, or where ganglia may be said to be under stress or strain, but these are only at those periods of the reactions in the system. Hence the disturbing factors (though there may be periods when there is almost a collapse in the physical reaction through the nerve forces) are from the organs, and the inability of storing energy, rather than the first cause being from the nerve impingement or nerve disorders in the system.

14. As to the ORGANS of the body themselves:

15. Brain forces are very good. The abilities for discernment are good; the abilities for choice - they need training rather than any condemnation, or particular recommendation, in the present; though the abilities in the body through the mental contingencies and the activity to control are present, as indicated. Hence there is perfect coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system. So, when the body desires or wishes or feels that it is more to the betterment of conditions or surroundings to be enthusiastic, it can be enthusiastic immediately! If it desires, or it meets the conditions that it be rather submerged and a more general or more specific condition be exercised, the abilities in these directions are to withhold emotion or withhold influences that would exercise through sentiment or the emotional side of the individual entity.

16. Throat, bronchi, lungs, larynx, show the effect of the poor circulation, or the conditions that have been described of there being a deep circulation well cared for but the lymph and the superficial circulation in the outer portion

440-2 Page 4

of the system being slow. Hence the conditions that arise often for there to be a tendency of portions of the body in the extremities to appear or have the feeling of being SEPARATED from the rest of the body. And also those influences that make for the periods when vision or dream or experiences are as if the body were SEPARATING itself from its physical being while the mental activities VISION that going on. These are very well if controlled, for it shows the activity of the PSYCHIC forces and psychic influences in the body being able to operate either with or separate from the physical being. Yet, as a unit, as a whole, in the physical being, should the body be able to FUNCTION the better.

17. In the lungs and larynx, as indicated, there is the tendency of not deep enough intake of the breathing for the purification of the blood supply; or not enough oxygen. Hence to be in the open air often, to have more of oxygen for the whole system, is an added element for betterment to the general conditions of the body. Not that there is other than a TENDENCY in these directions, as we shall see, from a basic cause.

18. In the digestive system, as indicated, there are disturbances. These are produced from the lack of elements ever being sufficient or always sufficient in the system; there being periods when there is not the correct division of elements as to the calories, proteins, carbohydrates, iron, potassium, iodine, chlorine, and the factors that create physical conditions in the system for a production of functioning of glands AND organs in unison. While there is the normal activity or functioning in unison and coordination between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system, the GLANDS' activities have been different - and are different - from these divisions where too much work mentally and not enough relaxation physically, materially, has made detrimental influences in the better forces of the body.

19. Then, in the digestive areas we find hydrochloric and lactic forces not always in harmony, but not such a difference as to necessitate the addition of one or the other, other than in the regular order in the diets for the body. And we need more protein and carbohydrate activity, for the tendency is to burn tissue. Hence a form of anemia exists, as indicated.

20. The liver, spleen, pancreas, activity of the bile ducts and the duodenum, all of these - considering the conditions - function in unison; though without the energy with the supplying of energy through the activity of the spleen there

440-2 Page 5

is the same tendency for disregarding of using tissues that SHOULD be distributed in the system. Hence the body is not always hungry at periods when meals should be taken. Not always does the body take TIME to eat properly.

21. In these activities, then, consistency must be carried along with the things that will aid in bringing for the body the better conditions.

22. The hepatic circulation, as indicated, is rather more of the excess than is ordinarily found. Hence there are periods when the palms of the hands or the feet may feel as if perspiration or heat is excessive, and others when there is not sufficient heat from the body to make for other than an excessive DRYING in these portions of the body.

23. Kidneys and the activities of the organs of the pelvis are near normal, CONSIDERING the activity of the general body.

24. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions as we find in the present, first we would be very mindful and very careful about the diet, about the activities in the open, about the character of the foods that are taken, and the addition of that to the body that will create a balance in the circulation to internal and external that stimulates the superficial WITHOUT the reduction of the internal or deeper circulation.

25. We would, then, give this as an outline for the diet, though - to be sure - there should be the altering to meet the DESIRES that will be created for the body as the conditions begin to show their general activity upon the system:

26. Mornings - the first thing drink a glass and a half of as hot water as may be taken, so that it can only be sipped, see? Then, for the breakfast or morning meal, take citrus fruit juices (not with the pulp) - altered between oranges, lemons and grapefruit, and occasionally grape JUICE may be taken. Toast, buttered or dry. A cereal drink, and occasionally an egg. Or, it may be altered with stewed fruits or fresh fruits.

27. Noons - almost entirely green vegetables, of all characters, and take time to masticate these well. With same drink MILK, either before or after the meal is eaten.

28. Also, either in the mornings or afternoons between meals, take during a day at least two ounces of SWEETS; preferably those that are not too much wholly of cane sugar, but those that are made with either beet sugar or saccharin would be preferable. Chocolate is well, or mixed with same. Creams with chocolate are well. The nut candies are well, or the pure French candies - because in these, rather than

440-2 Page 6

the glucose that is more often used, there are other ingredients, principally gumbo.

29. Evenings - well balanced diet of green vegetables that are well cooked. Meats should be preferably of either fowl or lamb. Little or no beef, though beef JUICES or soups of vegetables may be taken at this meal. There should be an addition occasionally of those elements that will produce more of the alcohol in the system, without taking the alcohol itself, at this meal; which will be found in the proper balance between starch and protein - about twice the amount of starch as of protein, were it by weight, when taken.

30. We would also use the vibrations of the low electrical formation, as in the Radio-Active Appliance, that is attached to the wrist and the opposite ankle. If on the first day the attachments are made first to the right wrist and then to the left ankle, the next day the attachments should be first to the left ankle and right wrist. Alternate these day by day, making the attachment first one day to the wrist, the next day the first attachment to the ankle, but to the opposite portions of the body - see? [See 440-2 Reports, Par. R4.]

31. In the matter of exercise, stay in the open as much as the circumstances or surroundings justify.

32. At least once a week take one-quarter grain of Carbonated or Animated Ash, and a few minutes afterwards - in fifteen to twenty minutes - take the violet ray over the upper dorsal and cervical area, and half a minute across the upper portion of the chest.

33. And we will get rid of all these conditions, and we will be able to raise the weight to two hundred pounds instead of a hundred and sixty! [5/71 GD's note: He told me that for several yrs. now he has weighed 200 lbs!]

34. Ready for questions.

35. (Q) Was my past ill-health due to unfavorable psychic aspects? (A) As indicated, they had their influence - but rather would we say the ability to maintain as much of an equilibrium as has been was due to the CONTROL of the psychic aspects, than to the psychic aspects! Such things as the black days and the bright days exist most for those who THINK they exist! For our days or activities or periods of influence astrologically or psychically are what we allow them to become in our experience! Their influence exists, yes! So does poison gas exist, but if we keep away from it or if we control it in our experience it may cause little trouble!

36. (Q) How long should the battery be used each day?

440-2 Page 7

(A) Until you feel like taking it off! Put it on when you go to bed. When you wake up take it off. But if you go to sleep and leave it on all night, so much the better - just so you don't get it tangled up and break it!

37. (Q) What is the best way to strengthen my eyes and heal my back? (A) Build up the general health of the body through those things that have been outlined, with the activities in the open, with the activities that necessarily come from those forces as outlined, and these will be improved.

38. (Q) How may I eliminate the physical factor of tenseness while engaged in mental work, and be able to truly concentrate? (A) We find that the tendencies arise from the reasons as outlined and described, when the body engages in physical or mental work; for there is the calling upon all the energies of the system. By the equalizing of the whole circulation through the vibrations, and by the creation of the elements through the factors in the system itself, we will be able to make for such a supply of energy that the body may be able to think about one thing and do something else - if so desired! That's how well it may be controlled by this body!

39. (Q) How can I develop the ability to work long hours? And what are the best hours for work? (A) What are the best hours for work? When the lesser number of people are THINKING about work; for ANY individual! Hence, by raising the resistances in the body, the body will be able to control the hours of labor physically and the hours of labor mentally. Remember that which has been given, that all work and no play will make just as dull boy as all play and no work - and will make one eventually JUST as worthless, to self and to that it would desire to accomplish! Best that EVERY individual (and this individual, particularly) budget its time. Set so much time for study, so much time for relaxation, so much time for labor mentally, so much time for activity of the physical body, so much time for reading, so much time for social activities. And while this does not mean to become merely a body of rote, it does mean that each of these changes and each of these activities make for the creating of a better balance - that not only facilitates the individual's activities but gives the ability to CONCENTRATE when desiring on WHATEVER the activity may be!

40. (Q) What are best hours for sleep? (A) When the body is physically tired, whether at noon or twelve o'clock at night!

440-2 Page 8

41. (Q) Will working in Chicago impede the entity's health? (A) Depends upon whether the hours and the activities are so set that there is too much indoor without sufficient outdoor activity. The environs are not conducive to a great body-building for this body, around or about Chicago. Those environs of Denver, Los Angeles, San Jose, or Pennsylvania (in the upper or central portion), or Virginia, or Carolina, are more CONDUCIVE to conditions for the body-PHYSICAL.

42. (Q) Do you advise the use of colonics or Epsom Salts baths for the body? (A) When these are necessary, yes. For, EVERY one - everybody - should take an internal bath occasionally, as well as an external one. They would all be better off if they would!

43. (Q) Do you advise a trip to Arizona this winter? (A) Be very good, and especially if you'll seek some of these stones that may be found in some of these portions; for this country is full of those things in which the body is interested in these directions. Lapis lingua [?].

44. (Q) During which months? (A) February and March.

45. (Q) To what stones do you refer? (A) The lapis lingua [?]. It's blue! [1/3/34 See 440-9, Par. 9-A verifying GD's spelling of lingua. However, in same reading he used the word linguis [?], which he did not spell. GD thinks lingua may be plural & linguis singular.]

46. (Q) Of what value is it? (A) Of particular value to those who are interested in things psychic! Read what was in the first effort that was made, as to all those that used the stones as settings to induce the influences from without that would aid an individual in its contact with the higher sources of activity! [Ex. 28:15-30 Urim & Thummim]
