1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [442], this we have had before.

2. Now, as we find, conditions in a general manner are considerably improved from that we have had at times here before.

3. There are still many conditions that are not at all times satisfactory, yet when it is considered what the body has to combat in mental attitudes in some directions this improvement and the general conditions may be said to be meeting, overcoming, and making applicable in its experience in the present much that may make for soul development; in a way and manner as to overcome, rather, much that is called by some destined - or mind over matter, yet here we have matter overcoming mind. And the conditions may STILL be improved, if there will be the adherence to those applications that may awaken in the very cellular forces of the circulation itself the awareness of that it IS to combat, making for resuscitations in such ways and manners as to cause greater and greater improvement in the general physical health.

4. In the general system there is the awareness that the conditions in the soft tissue of the body, both in the torso and through the trunk portions of the lymph and emunctory circulations, have been such that the superficial circulation has at times exceeded the internal. But the balance in pressure of the blood supply, or coordination between the arterial and venous circulation HAS improved; and thus has been able to meet many of the conditions where there has been scar tissue, so that there is evinced by the activity of same in the body that there is the tendency for the adhesions to be more and more of a LESS DETRIMENTAL condition.

5. It is also evinced by the general conditions that there has been and is a better metabolism, a better katabolism in

the system.

6. It is indicated that nervousness arises at times, so that from some central portions of the system there arise the tendencies that make for repressions to the activity to the locomotaries - both for the brachial and the lumbar plexus.

7. It may be evinced by the activities and the mental reactions that there are conditions in these being produced much by the sympathetic or imaginative effects of influences internally and without.

8. That the tissues in the throat and bronchi are irritated by too great a strain at times upon the system is evinced by the EFFECT that the reduction of such irritation has been and is upon the system.

9. Hence the smoking gradually decreased, or those things that may be replaced BY the smoking in the activities of the system, will make for a better coordination in this direction.

10. Those conditions in the throat and head, as from an increased lymph circulation, are improving.

11. We would add occasionally the oil rubs in the varied centers, especially from the 8th dorsal to the base of the head in the ganglia, that would produce the better activity by the "oiling up" of the system - as it were - by absorption and by those things that will make for coordination. These will be most helpful. For the present we would prepare the oil in this manner, in these proportions and in the ORDER as given - for this makes a difference in the way the reactions are upon not only the superficial circulation but the ganglia along the system: Russian White Oil.................4 ounces, Witchhazel........................1 ounce, Olive Oil.........................1 ounce, Tincture of Benzoin...........1 1/2 ounces, Oil of Sassafras..................5 minims. Shake the solution well together before it is massaged into the cerebrospinal system. Only massage that which will be absorbed by the body; and do this with finger tips, you see.

12. We would continue to take the manipulations and the applications for the improvement in the coordination throughout the system, both for eliminating and assimilating the activities or energies that may be expended, through the ganglia along the system, by the osteopathic adjustments and manipulation.

13. Keep the eliminations well in the alimentary canal, by the diet and - when necessary - enemas.

14. These, as we find, will CONTINUE to keep the body on the improve.

15. With the changes that are to come about the body, should there tend to be the irritation more to the soft tissue of throat and head, take a one grain Calcidin tablet at bedtime. Do not use these unless the cough or the irritation continues, or becomes exaggerated or worse.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) Has my smoking prevented this condition from improving more? (A) As indicated, this is a contributory cause to keeping irritation in the system; with a tendency for nervousness and the prevention of a nominal creating of better coordination from the brachial or locomotary centers. Gradually decrease this.

18. (Q) Any advice to Dr. Dobbins for treating me? (A) As indicated, the brachial centers - those that make for better drainages from the head and the throat, and those that will make better activity of the lymph and emunctory circulation through the torso; that is, give as much time to the abdominal area and the diaphragm area as to those centers - save the locomotary centers.
