Time of Reading 2:40 to 3:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y. (Body and enquiring mind, in regard to her physical, mental and spiritual development. You will give any advice which may be helpful at this time, answering the questions she will submit, as I ask them.)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [457], present in this room; this we have had before.
2. As to physical conditions, ready for questions.
3. (Q) Please itemize treatment for scalp and shampoo. (A) For the better treatment of the hair and scalp, for THIS body, we would outline the better treatment as this: The pure soap, with a little glycerine in the water, would be the best for washing the scalp and hair - or head. After thoroughly washing and rinsing the hair, massage a little white Vaseline into the scalp on the tip of fingers, massage it in thoroughly, and then cleanse with a very weak solution of alcohol and water; about a one to forty percent solution for this scalp. Doing this weekly will make for the better care, the better attention, to hair and scalp; and protect and open the scalp in such a manner as to keep it healthy and productive.
4. (Q) Is vaginal discharge [leukorrhea?] normal or should it be corrected? If so, how?. (A) The activities of the body tend to make for an abnormalcy. For this body we would advise certain exercises morning and evening (even with the change in the hours), and this taken internally - compounded in this manner: To 1 gallon of rain or distilled water, add:

Wild Cherry Bark.............1/2 ounce, Sarsaparilla Root..............1 ounce, (All of these preferably dried, see?) Elder Flower...................4 ounces, Prickly Ash Bark.............1/4 ounce. Reduce this preferably in an enamel container; and when the reducing is done the steam from same should be allowed to escape, see - not covered. Reduce to 1/2 the quantity. Strain while warm and to this add 1 dram Balsam of Tolu cut in 2 ounces of grain alcohol. The dose would be (shake the solution well before taking) a teaspoonful before each meal. But EAT THE MEALS! And this will make for the correction, provided - to be sure - there are the exercises for the lower portion of the body morning and evening - three minutes; one to three minutes is sufficient; circular motion and stooping motion, see?
5. (Q) Is this treatment good for every woman, or just for me? (A) For every woman that has the same conditions! But every woman hasn't the same conditions!
6. (Q) What can I do to preserve my teeth, as regards diet and treatment? (A) Be mindful of the diet and of the general health; and the care that may be taken of same. For, they are the effect of the activity of glands in the body and reproduce and preserve themselves if the proper diets are adhered to or precautions taken as respecting them. Don't take things in the mouth that are over hot or over cold; that is, don't bite ice with the teeth or the like of such. Do not take properties that are MINERAL in the mouth, or hold them in the mouth, as the body sometimes does, and expect the teeth not to be affected!
7. (Q) Any specific suggestions regarding diet in relation to teeth? (A) See that there is the proper amount of iron and silicon, that comes from vegetables - not from minerals; they are minerals, but vegetable minerals for the body.
8. (Q) What causes the cold for a short period each morning? (A) The same thing that causes irregularity or over regularity in the activity of the eliminations of the system! The body's attempting to adjust itself after periods of relaxation. With the correction of those influences that effect or make for changes in the coordination of the eliminating channels of the body, these would be much

better. The properties added in the compound given, as relative to these, are as follows: The Wild Cherry Bark is for cleansing the blood supply. The Sarsaparilla Root is an active force in the lactic fluids of activity in the digestive area. The Elder Flower is to be effective with the organs of eliminations as related to the generative organs. The Prickly Ash Bark is for the lacteal ducts and their activity in dissemination throughout the system. So, with the active forces in these, we are to purify the blood supply as related to the balances. But they do not make, of course, an unbalanced diet balanced! They only balance the system so that the correction or corrected diet will keep a balance in the system.
9. (Q) Has the catarrh during the day the same cause and cure? (A) Primarily; though, to be sure, the catarrh is the EFFECT of conditions that have been prolonged; else it would only be occasional. However, with the correction of the general conditions in the system, this should disappear.
10. (Q) Regarding the Mental and Spiritual: Please check as to how "self has applied self as respecting will to the possibilities and to the opportunities of the entity". (A) This is as applied to the entity's activity in its relationships to the whole, or to the active forces through which the entity is passing in the present; that is, in THIS respect: The will of the entity, as applied to that which has been set as the entity's ideal in its relationships to life, has made for - does make for in the present - active DEVELOPMENTS within self. The explanation to some is even worse than what was first said. As this, then: As a mind, body, sets for self an ideal, has an ideal and KNOWS that it has an ideal, the WILL as respecting that ideal is in relationship to what it does about or to those individuals, people, conditions, circumstances that arise in the entity's experience - or opportunity for clarification to others. Through such THIS entity has developed, and does develop; for it HAS an ideal.
11. (Q) Should I wait until after I leave business to develop the powers "to see, feel and hear from unseen forces"? (A) If the developments are to be in line of self-development and soul expansion along the lines of that which has been set as the entity's ideal, it would be well. For, in the recesses of the heart, in the quietness and not the bustle, in the inmost soul and not in the varyings of activity, does growth - does contact - does consciousness - arise.

12. (Q) When would be the best time now to go into the silence? (A) For a few minutes just after having awakened in the morning. As the body contemplates in those first few minutes - say five to seven minutes - it may gain more rest, strength and power than it may through many hours of just sleep.
13. (Q) Give any helpful instructions as to how to go in the silence. (A) Read MEDITATION! [A mimeographed copy of rdg. 281-13 on Meditation and Prayer, later used in Meditation chapt. in SFG.]
14. (Q) Please give a prayer or affirmation for this period! (A) Would be well that these be changed. Be well to begin with this: IN THE HOURS OF THIS NEW DAY, LORD GOD OF HOSTS, BE THOU MY GUIDE. DIRECT MY EVERY THOUGHT, MY EVERY ACT, MY EVERY WORD, THAT THEY MAY BETTER GLORIFY THEE, THROUGH THY SON JESUS, MY LORD, MY MASTER.
15. (Q) Have I "subdued my moods and thus raised my vibrations in the mystic forces"? (A) Depends upon which angle, or which vibration, or which relation this may be viewed from! As indicated, through the will power and its activities - as it has been - there is raised within self soul development. Do not think of it as being mysterious, or mystic, or something unnatural. It is unnatural for the soul NOT to develop before or towards its Maker. Study in self to show self approved unto God, not to any man nor to any thought - but unto God, the Giver of all good and perfect gifts. Approach in whatever form or manner that is chosen by thyself for making thy proper preparations for such an approach. Though it may be mysterious to others, to thyself let the approach be as to thy Father, thy God. Not as one afar off; not as one that requires that ANY be sent into the heavens nor into the depths nor across seas, but one that would abide with thee in thine own hear wilt thou but allow Him to enter in. For, He has prepared the way through the Son that came into the earth, that we - as souls in the flesh, even as He was in the flesh - might know all of those trials and tribulations, the joys, the sorrows, the pleasures, that come with COMMUNING with the Lord our God. We, then, are as His emissaries, as His children, as the brethren of that Lord and that Master among men, should approach our fellow man day by day in their trials, in their troubles, in their tribulations. Not some great deed has He

asked that we do, but "As ye do it unto the least of these ye meet day by day, know ye do it unto me." For, the same Lord, the same God, abides in those that ye meet. And, as ye mete to others so will it be measured to thee. In THIS approach, in this manner, make thy ways, thy developments, thy desires, known. And the desires and the will may coordinate in not only the spiritual and the mental life but in the material things. For, the glory, the life, is all of God. How great will those glories be in our experience? What we measure to our fellow man! For, "The silver and the gold is the Lord's, and the cattle and the raiment as upon the thousand hills." And he that follows in HIS footsteps are His, who said: "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me." And those that do such shall never - nor their seed - beg bread.
16. (Q) Can I, and will I, develop any spiritual gifts Monday nights? [When we, the family, sit with Dr. Johannes Greber?] (A) Dependent upon the application. For, the whole lesson has been set before thee. What dost thou desire in thine heart? That ye may play with those things that would enter in? Or, do ye seek to glorify thy Father in heaven? Would ye speak with the sons of men, or would ye speak with the angels of light? Then, as has been shown thee - as from the pattern in the Mount by Him, as given, show thyself approved unto what is thine conception. Not this, that or the other one. For, God must be thine own God, even as there is the herald in the air. Draw thine self close to the activities of the Father, and thy developments that thou hast need of - to make for the better manifestations of HIS glory in the earth - will be thine.
17. (Q) I received a message that next spring I should do my duty in letting a soul incarnate through me. If so, should conception take place now or in spring? [See 457-3, Par. R8.] (A) Conception should take place when thy body and thy mind, thy companion and his mind, are purified in the light of the desires of thine heart through the exercising of the offices committed into thine keeping through the Giver of life who manifests through the sons of men the glories unto 'God, even as in the Christ. Then, whether this be in December, March or May, WHEN thou hast opened thine mind, thine soul and purified thy body, let HIM call His own into being through thee!
