3. (Q) Should she turn her home in Jersey into a school for backward children? (A) Would be very good.
4. (Q) What name should be used for the school? (A) [459].
5. (Q) What psychiatrist should be connected with the school? (A) Depends upon the age, the class, and the character of the work as is to be outlined. Best that these be chosen through the channels which will enable the school to be a recognized institution of that nature.
6. (Q) How much rental should be asked for the home for this purpose? (A) That of sufficient amount to pay off the indebtedness as has existed, in the proportions - insurance and upkeep, and sufficient that it may be replaced.
7. (Q) Should Rabbi [429] be a part of this organization? [See 429-1 on 3/11/30.] (A) In some respects. That would depend most upon whether there are associations as would make for the best as may be developed in [429], as associated with same.
8. (Q) Should [[...] his sec'ty] be connected with it? (A) Excellent!

9. (Q) What can she do to carry work on? (A) What CAN'T she do to carry work on!
10. (Q) When should [[...] his sec'ty] and Rabbi [429] be married? (A) When they choose to!
11. (Q) Would Mrs. [5481] be a valuable person to have connected with the work? (A) Very good. There are other channels through which this, as we find, may be of benefit, rather than direct. Indirectly, would be excellent.
12. (Q) What should [459] do in the organization? (A) Organize!
13. (Q) What value would she bring to the work? (A) How much she puts in it of self!
14. (Q) Which is the better work for [459], the insurance business alone, the running of this school alone, or can the two be combined? (A) Can be combined. There is quite a different aspect as to the manner in which running of such a school, or interesting self in that of insurance. One can easily fool themselves in insurance, as to being of assistance and aid to individuals, and convince themselves that they be right - when, in reality, they have taken themselves into consideration rather than the individuals who are to be aided. True, many instances, many individual cases may be pointed out as to where this has been helpful and beneficial, yet these are only seen from a material angle. In the work as considered in school, these are being builded from a different ideal, from a different angle entirely, and while they may be CONFUSED, as to their being operative together, or of one giving their time to endeavors in both fields, they should NEVER be confused as to that which is the motive force in their respective fields; for one is of necessity a selfish act from the beginning; the other wholly an UNSELFISH one; though, that that is selfish may be made - the proper consideration and study given - that is, as has been asked, were there [if there were] the same activity in determining when one was approached as concerning insurance, as to what the seed of such, were it [if it were to] to become a claim, would build in the lives of those who would be benefited by same? In the same manner as there is the consideration given for an indigent, and of that necessary for the development of same, the results would be astonishing; yet this has NEVER been, probably never will be, until there is a different thought in the minds of peoples as a whole.
15. (Q) Should body go into insurance with Dorothy Lang or alone? (A) Dependent upon whether it is part time or whole time.
459-2 Page 3
If it is part time, combine. Whole time, alone - or with Wolf.
16. (Q) Is Dorothy Lang reliable? (A) Find out for yourself! You will when you deal with them a little while!
17. (Q) Should Solon Turk draw up contract? (A) If contract is desired of that nature, is very good - he is reliable as far as ABILITIES; as far as activities, that may be a different story.
18. (Q) Should the body depend upon his judgement as a lawyer? (A) As a LAWYER, yes.
19. (Q) Would it be advisable to establish an office with Mr. Turk or to remain in Equitable building? (A) Dependent upon the manner in which same is to be conducted. This puts too many QUESTIONS without consideration of that that has been asked! One would refute the other!
20. (Q) Give any warnings to body in regard to business. (A) Just as has been outlined. This may either be made the insurance business or the school. The school may be made that which will build for the self much development. To be sure, the school offers the BETTER opportunity for SELF development, while insurance offers the best in material. These are set before thee. Choose thou. We are through for the present. Copy to Self Two copies to Ass'n office
