1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
3. Many changes have come about in the general physical forces of this body since last we had same here. Some are very good. But as we find, conditions are such in the present that unless there are the PROPER corrections made, there may develop those specific disturbances which may be hard to deal with.
4. These we find are rather in that state of a complication, yet with the direct causes being eliminated we may bring near to the normal forces for this body.
5. Then, these are conditions that need correction:
6. The source, or the greater contributing source of the disturbance, arises from a multiple pressure produced in the lumbar, sacral and ileac plexus. This, oft when the body is on the feet a long time, cuts off the circulation to the lower portion of the body - which is allowing the feet and the muscular forces, tendons and bursa to become out of position. Thus these cause a great deal of the nerve tension through the body.
7. From these same sources there is an irregularity concerning the menstrual periods, which allows the accumulations there to cause disturbances such that there is an upsetting of the nerve force from these directions.
8. This combination, with the strain produced upon the lower portion of the solar plexus center, contributes to an over-activity in the pancreas. Thus the tendencies towards the overweight, which will also continue to make the muscles of the abdominal area to be more and more lax.
9. Thus there is the tendency for a distension through the abdominal area, that would be most disturbing a little later.

10. With these complications to the upsetting of the assimilating and digestive system, we have an unequal - or an unbalanced - metabolism. Hence with the age, the nerves from the activities of eliminations cause disturbance to the eyes; and the lids become inflamed, the vision becomes dim at times; also the little headaches at times arise from these. And this, to be sure, with the nerve stresses, causes a lack of flow of circulation to the head, neck - and the teeth become involved.
11. We find that the TEETH should have some local attention, as these corrections are made (which we will indicate) and the better metabolism through the system is established.
12. As we find, in addition to having the local attention for the teeth, these are the administrations that would be preferable, or the means of making those corrections necessary:
13. We would begin with the deeper treatments osteopathically, as Dobbins might administer; with PARTICULAR attention to the areas from the 9th dorsal downward, and COORDINATING the upper dorsal AND cervical WITH the corrections as they are made.
14. Take these rather in series.
15. DO have the feet corrected, as the corrections are made in the lumbar and sacral.
16. If there are the proper osteopathic adjustments made, the condition of the tonsils should improve a great deal; though there has arisen such disturbance that it may be necessary to remove portions of these. However, we would do this osteopathically, rather than by the surgeon cutting all off at once, see?
17. Once a week, for two or three weeks at a time, we would use the Atomidine vaginal douches, using only the Fountain Syringe. The proportions would be a teaspoonful of commercial strength Atomidine to a quart and a half of water. Have the water body-temperature; not colder nor hotter than body-temperature; to be sure, these would not be taken during the menstrual periods. But take them two or three weeks, then leave off; and then take again, and so on.
18. Have the better eliminations by some changes in the diet.
19. DO be consistent with the diets - keeping away from pastries, cakes and the like, and too much starches - for instance, spaghetti and cheese; though cheese may be taken in moderation if it is a cream or cheddar cheese.
20. DO NOT eat white potatoes.
21. DO NOT eat white bread.
22. Aid the eliminations by taking prunes, raisins, figs,

etc., rather than the vegetable compounds, for this body.
23. At least once a week eat a Jerusalem artichoke, about the size of a hen egg - not larger; and this preferably cooked (rather than taken raw), and cooked in its own juices (as in Patapar Paper) - letting the juices that come from it be mixed with the vegetable itself in its preparation, you see. This may be taken three to four times a week, but should be taken at least once each week - with the regular meal, you see - not eaten as a meal by itself, but with other foods. Keep this consistently each week for three to four weeks, then leave off two weeks, and then take for another period, and so on. But when taking it, take it consistently once, twice, three or even four times a week, you see, for a three to four week period at a time.
24. To aid in normalizing the weight - take grape juice - the unfermented, to be sure; preferably Welch's; taken consistently in this manner: Take two ounces of the grape juice stirred in one ounce of plain water (not carbonated water) four times each day; half an hour before each meal and about half an hour before retiring at night.
25. Be consistent with all of these, following each in its regular order and in series as indicated that is, taking each for the period suggested, then leaving off, and then beginning again. In this way they each will prove the more effective.
26. Ready for questions.
27. (Q) Would it be wise to see Dr. Kassebohm, W. 90th St.? [Fred A. Kassebohm, M.D.] (A) See him - but we wouldn't have him treat the body for anything!
28. (Q) Is it possible for me to reduce 50 pounds? (A) Take that as indicated and we will find the body reducing to its proper weight. It will not be all of fifty, but it will be at least twenty-five - but don't do this too quickly.
29. (Q) Any other suggestions? (A) These as indicated we would do, or else we may find many of the disturbances becoming constitutional - not only that but separating themselves and being different. They all arise, as given, from the one greater disturbance, but producing the complication.
30. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (two copies; one for bro. [257]) " " Ass'n file (Sheet of directions was enclosed for osteopath: Dr. Frank
