1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [462], at his home on ... St., ..., Florida. You will please give the abilities of the present entity and how they may be applied NOW to the best interests of himself and family and all concerned. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the enquiring mind, [462].
3. As to the abilities of the body, the body-mind in the present, we find that the activities - or the conditions and environs in which the body-mind is active as related to the activities in such directions - indicate the abilities.
4. In the present we find that with certain connections these abilities may be turned more into a definite use for self and associates in relationships to a general public, or a definite activity; that would be in the towing corporation - either of self or associations with those in same, that would deal with such activities in such a port or surrounding that would make for sufficient activities of the nature from the material relationships and activities as to become and to be considered a worth while undertaking.
5. These, as we find, would make for that surrounding and activity, then, in which the body may find in the present, and in its associations for the immediate future, the most satisfactory conditions.
6. Or should there be the decision within self that such should become less and less a part of the entity's activities, then turn toward that which would deal with water as in plumbing or such associations.
7. Just so the activities of the entity have to do with water, these would make for that which would bring about the more satisfactory conditions.
8. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) I am at the crossroads. What should I do? (A) As indicated, we would engage either independently or in associations with others in one or the other of those
462-5 Page 2
activities mentioned. And, as we find, those surroundings of Norfolk, Virginia, with those associations and connections that may be had there - in either of the channels indicated would make for the better decisions, or those conditions that would bring to the experience of the entity the greater opportunities for a satisfactory development.
10. (Q) Which would be better, to engage in business for myself or with someone else? (A) As we have indicated, it may be either for self or an association with others in those particular fields of activity.
11. (Q) Whom should I contact, and where? (A) In those fields of operations, as indicated, or activities in and around Norfolk, Virginia. Such an one as Curtis; or such an one as Bigelow; or such an one as McCarthy; [Mr. John Hughes Curtis, Agent, Curtis Marine Co., Inc., 554 Front St., or 2nd & Southhampton Ave., or 524 Graydon Ave., Norfolk, Va. Mr. A. H. Bigelow, 1328 Ocean View Ave., or 713 Riverview Ave., Norfolk, Va. Mr. James F. McCarthy, Lt. Comdr., 409 Westover Ave., Norfolk, Va.] or such as those in the other activities of the nature where the combined efforts of the entity or body in its activities would bring about satisfactory conditions.
12. (Q) When should I begin? (A) By August or September fifteenth of the present year.
13. (Q) Should I come with my family to Norfolk, Va.? (A) The more satisfactory arrangements may be had there, as indicated; for Norfolk, Virginia, must eventually and will become the greater or the more active port, that will gradually require more and more of such an action in and about these environs. Also its offers for the body in this direction and way, an opening for the use of those abilities in the various fields in which the entity has been the more active in this present experience.
14. (Q) I was told in a reading of Aug. 1932 [462-3] that in about two years I would begin my life work. What is really my life work, and I am ready now? (A) As indicated, NOW is the time to begin with those activities in the directions as given; that is, (the life's work is) in aiding to direct the affairs of individuals in their commercial, mental and spiritual relationships in varied activities - local, foreign and the like. See?
15. (Q) Should we wait until August or September to come to Norfolk, or sooner to make arrangements? (A) In August or by the first of August may be
462-5 Page 3
satisfactory. There should be then the arrangements or those connections made in such fields of activity by or before the fifteenth of September. We would do that.
16. (Q) Any other advice that would be of help or benefit at this time? (A) As we find, these are as beginnings. For, as indicated by the mental attitude as the entity has here stated, there are decisions of a DEFINITE nature to be made. And from the activity, from the associations, and from that which is innate and manifested in the experience, these fields of endeavor as indicated would bring about the relationships, the associations, for the FULFILLING of much that has been BUILDED as an experience; that may in the material, the mental and spiritual manner bring the greater contentment in the experience in the present.
