Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Body and enquiring mind. Especially in relation to his carrying out the advice given him through this channel on July 8, 1935, regarding his movement to Norfolk and type of work. You will advise him now as to just what to do to make connections that will be the most advantageous for him materially, mentally and spiritually. Ans. Ques. as submitted.)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [462], present in this room; the information that has been given respecting the type of associations or work, and Norfolk as the vicinity.

2. As we find, through that same type of activity which has been indicated, with a shipping or a towing company, or with a dock service company, the entity may - with any of these, through those channels in which the associations and connections have been - make for an activity that would be as we find - most advantageous to the body.

3. Or the activities may have to do with any of those things pertaining to the affairs about water, and the movement or shippings on same.

4. These, as we find, would be the manners then.

5. Choosing those connections or associations, or the type of these that would appeal, does appeal most to the body in its own abilities, its own undertakings, its own knowledge concerning the activities of groups in those specific channels of activity, then through same make those associations and connections. This may be done by applications through those channels that are fitting in such conditions.

6. These, as we find, are the manners.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Where is the towing corporation that I should contact and become a part of? (A) Either associated with those in South Norfolk or Portsmouth.

9. (Q) Whom should I see? (A) Those as heads of the organizations.

10. (Q) Will you give the name and address? (A) Seek these!

11. (Q) Wherein have I failed in making the proper contacts? (A) Go directly to the heads of the organizations! This, as we find, will be the proper way and manner!

12. (Q) I am ready now to begin work. What shall I do tomorrow? (A) Choose first the type, you see; which would be among those indicated. The dock service, the towing service, or the regular channels of activity. Then, after there is the choice of that which is the most desirable, ferret out as to who are those in charge of such activities in which the entity desires the association and connections. Then make application through the channels as indicated for such conditions. These will come, as we find, from the efforts on the part of the body; in meeting the needs or necessities or requirements in these various fields of activity, as they draw one to another.

13. (Q) Why did this not take place on the 15th as given in the last reading? (A) The whole of the applications were not made before.

14. (Q) Is it best that I remain in Norfolk? (A) As we find, best in Norfolk or vicinity.

15. (Q) Which of the two activities mentioned in the reading would be the better? (A) This must be a choice of the entity.

16. (Q) Can you not help in this choice, or advise regarding how to make a choice? (A) Not unless there is that within self which answers as to the character of service. For in making associations and connections the entity considers the character of the individuals with whom it would associate, the policies, the type of activity in each particular phase. So, there must be a choice by the entity.

17. (Q) I must get established in work in order to take care of my family. (A) Then proceed along these lines as indicated. For, as given, AS the entity seeks - as there are the activities within self - there are the needs, necessities or requirements on the part of those in the activities indicated; and they are seeking specific men for specific service and specific activities. These then become one; the seeker and that being sought. They make for the activities that will bring about those things most desirable and most satisfactory for the body and those dependent upon same.

18. (Q) Is my mental and spiritual attitude toward my fellow man correct at this time? (A) Correct. Dependent upon, of course, those activities to which same is put. Correct. Hence all angles of same must be taken into consideration as the body makes the practical application in the associations, see?

19. (Q) What are my lucky numbers and days? (A) Numbers; eight. Days; Thursday.

20. (Q) Would it be better for me to start in business for myself? (A) As indicated, this must be a CHOICE of the entity.

21. (Q) Is the General Salvage & Engineering Co. of Jacksonville, Fla., a worthwhile proposition? (A) A worth while proposition.

22. (Q) Will there be an office in Norfolk at some time? (A) That we do not find as indicated in the immediate future.

23. (Q) Please give any other advice and counsel that will help at this time in securing a place. (A) First, as indicated, consider the situations of those fields and activities in and about Norfolk and vicinity. Then those things that adapt themselves to the NATURAL inclinations, turns and developments of the entity itself, and that are chosen as the most desirable, make applications in THAT direction, see? If the characters of the individuals associated in such an undertaking, or the policies of such an organization as might be a practical one, are not in keeping with the ideals, purposes and aims of the entity, then choose that field of activity pertaining to water - or things having to do with same, and MAKE for self then a place, an association, an activity.
